Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery High Wycombe

We have been a part of the Monkey Puzzle HW family since 2022 with both our boys attending from 9m/1yo. I can say wholeheartedly that choosing this nursery was one of the best decisions we have made. The staff are exceptional - they are loving, caring and really do foster such a welcoming environment for the children (and parents!). The communication from staff & management is next to none - it feels like a family here. Our eldest graduates in the Summer, we will be so sad to see him move on from here but I know Monkey Puzzle have set him up for what lies ahead at big school! I would recommend Monkey Puzzle to anyone, my boys run in with a smile which is the greatest review you could have!

My son is really happy at the nursery, has made lovely friends and big leaps in his development. We always feel he is in safe hands & are sending our second child to the same nursery. The staff are kind, and the environment is clean and organised.

Hi! I am very happy with the Monkey Puzzle nursery, my son is also very happy to be there. The teachers are very nice and patient. They have a lot of activities and I'm excited they go even outside the nursery for activities ( market , park ) . My child was not an English speaker, but he did very well and learned English quite quickly, again thanks to the patience of the teachers.

We sent both our children to Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery and our time with them has spanned nine years, ending in August 2024. I can wholeheartedly recommend this nursery team to be kind, caring, passionate about what they do, engaging with parents, great communicators (they have an app which is updated daily with activity photos, and a log of your child's progress). If ever we've had any questions, the manager and the team have been really responsive and worked with us. It's more than just a team, it's a family, and as a parent and child, you too are welcomed into that family. I feel like they have been such a huge part of our lives for almost a decade, and we have all been through a lot in that time. We will be forever grateful that we chose Monkey Puzzle to care for our children in their earliest years.

My son joined Monkey Puzzle in 2021 and has just started school this September. Our 18-month-old is currently attending. Our experience has been wholly positive. The staff in all rooms show great care and compassion and the communication i.e. daily activity and learning updates and responding to messages on the app have all been fantastic. The Nursery Manager is friendly and approachable and is frequently at the door. Given the challenges all nurseries have experienced with staffing, the manager has done amazingly well to consistently provide a safe, compassionate and engaging day nursery environment. Other perks include being 5 min walking distance from the town centre and train station, a decent size and secure outdoor play area and good parking, and well-organised parent-child events throughout the year. We highly recommend Monkey Puzzle High Wycombe.

Lovely nursery with caring staff.

My son joined the preschool class at 3 years old after attending another setting where he had been since he was 8 months old. We were anxious about how he would adjust to such a major change, but the staff were supportive and he settled in nicely. He enjoyed his time there with great activities and outings.

Management are easy to reach and the nursery is conveniently located with parking for drop off and pick up.

The nursery was recommended to us by a friend whose child already attended and I would recommend it too!

My son has thoroughly enjoyed his three years at Monkey Puzzle High Wycombe. The staff are lovely and so caring with the children. The management have been under pressure recently in line with the sector as a whole but they have always put the needs of the children first. As a result, the nursery is a beautiful and welcoming space for the children where they can feel safe and free to grow and express themselves. The activities for the children are fun and engaging and my son especially loves all of the food prepared fresh on site. The facilities are good with plenty to keep little ones entertained and the children follow the early years curriculum with letters and number practice through different themes. The nursery have really prepared my son well for school too, and helped him grow into a happy, confident and independent little boy. I definitely recommend Monkey Puzzle High Wycombe.

Our daughter has been here since she was 7 months and is now in pre-school. She and we love it! The staff are excellent, especially the management team. They do great activities and there are lots of 1 on 1 care with the children. The chef is great and has definitely helped with introducing our daughter to new tastes. It is a really kind, caring and welcoming family! Can’t recommend it enough!

We chose Monkey Puzzle for our youngest following a very bad experience with another nursery during the first lockdown of 2020. We were unable to physically look round Monkey Puzzle when we enquired however the nursery manager ran a Zoom call with us where we had a full tour of the nursery. We liked what we saw and we felt a real sense of comfort from the manager therefore we enrolled. Since joining in Septem 2020 we have been thoroughly impressed with Monkey Puzzle. The cleanliness is of a high standard. Their hours are very convenient for full time working parents. The children are all fed lovely in house-cooked meals. The team plan and implement lots of exciting play for all age groups on a daily basis. We are regularly kept up to date through an Early Learning App with pictures and videos of their development stages. Our 3-year-old son thoroughly enjoys nursery and is always excited to go. Monkey Puzzle also offer great support to parents too.

Over the last three years, I have had both of my kids go to this nursery. I am so amazed at how much commitment all the staff give to all the children in their care. I am constantly reassured that my kids are okay in eating, learning, developing and having strong interaction with other children. I’ve seen both of my kids be so independent and enjoy going to nursery. I look forward to pictures and videos to see what the kids have been up to which the nursery do on a daily basis. I would highly recommend this nursery to all my friends and family.

Especially in this COVID situation where change is expected regularly, the team have adapted proactively with the interest of the children as a priority. The entire team are exceptional, accommodating and always flexible to parents needs as well as the children. It's a true family!

We viewed a few nurseries before choosing Monkey Puzzle and the key element which convinced us was when the staff member who was showing us around on a viewing visit (pre-COVID), kept getting interrupted by other kids wanting a cuddle from her. We felt this was the best possible endorsement of the staff we needed to see.

Both our children absolutely love this nursery - it’s a real community - we could not recommend this nursery enough. Really excellent updates from the staff and we always feel like our children are happy.

My daughter has been attending Monkey Puzzle, High Wycombe since she was 13 months old (now 3 and a half years) and has loved every minute. The staff are brilliant and my daughter has always been happy there. In the last year, since the pandemic, the management team have been exceptional, making good decisions based on the wellbeing of the children and their staff, not on the business. Highly recommend.

I have had a child at this nursery since 2015 until now. We’ve loved this nursery. The staff are supportive of the children and their parents. They provide nutritious and delicious food, fantastic learning and playing opportunities and take excellent care of all the children’s needs. I’m grateful for regular updates about my sons’ progress. And I’ve been super impressed with how the nursery has faced the challenges presented by the pandemic. They have been adaptable, transparent and have gone to great lengths to support the kids, even when we were stuck at home! My first son was well prepared for his transition to reception and I’ll be sad when my second child graduates from Monkey Puzzle!

I began looking at nurseries with a close proximity to the railway station and was unhappy with my search. A friend recommended Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery High Wycombe and I went to see them. On arrival, the manager for the babies room helped me with a tour. I then enrolled and had a few settling in sessions. From these sessions, I saw how loving and attentive the staff were. I was apprehensive at first as I am a first-time mum and have to commute into London. However, my daughter seems very happy and in the photos I receive she is always playing. I have also noticed staff roll up her sleeves and have a bib on her when feeding her. It’s small details that make me appreciate the staff. The area is also very clean and staff spray and steam the areas during sessions and I have noticed the bedding is also very clean. The managers and admin staff are also extremely helpful so I always feel I can speak to them. I am so pleased to have found this nursery.

Our daughter has been attending Monkey Puzzle since she was 1 and is now in the preschool room. It has had ups and downs in that time but the staff have always been caring and kind and she has always loved going there. We are really happy with it now the new manager and preschool room leader are in place, and feel they are preparing our daughter well for school. She has made very good friends, the staff have gradually encouraged her independence and she has really enjoyed learning about the various topics preschool have covered this year (especially dinosaurs and Chinese new year). Unfortunately, she had several changes of key worker until she got to the Preschool room but she bonded well with her main keyworker in the baby room who helped her settle and her main keyworker in Toddlers was really great with toilet training. Her keyworker in preschool has been stable and she has a good bond with her.

Monkey Puzzle has given my daughter confidence and it has matured her ready for school.
