Spring Nursery Layfield

This is a wonderful nursery with truly supportive staff. We've had such a positive experience with them since our son joined earlier this year. He settled so quickly thanks to the team (as did I!). We really feel like they have made the time to get to know him as an individual and it shows in the updates we get.

The team communicate well with us and are very responsive, which gives us true peace of mind.

The activities they get involved in are so creative and varied. One highlight is definitely the outdoor play opportunities as our son loves being outside and getting messy. We also joke that our son eats better than we do.

He cannot wait to go to nursery, usually waving goodbye prematurely to us! If he is happy, we are happy.

Spring is such a lovely wee nursery. The practitioners are thoughtful, lovely, kind and funny. The activities are engaging and ever changing. I don't know where they get all their ideas from. I love how there is a focus on supporting the children to love to read. The weekly focus on one specific books supports language development well. The kids get to go on trips to the library and fun activities based around the book of the week. The kids are outside as much as humanly possible. I have found that practitioners get to know the kids well and focus learning activities tailored to the child's individual interests. I will be really sad when my son goes to school and has to leave Spring.

My son has been attending this nursery for over a year now. I was naturally quite nervous about him starting, but the transition process was incredibly reassuring. I was invited to settling-in sessions, which gave me the opportunity to see firsthand just how warm and caring the environment is. The staff took the time to answer all of my questions and immediately put my mind at ease.

He absolutely loves going to nursery. The team are so friendly, thoughtful and caring. We receive thorough handovers at pick-up, along with regular updates through the app. It's so reassuring to see how much fun he's having, as well as information about how much he has eaten and slept throughout the day.

It's such a supportive and nurturing environment, and I couldn't be happier with the care he receives.

I'm so glad I made the decision to have my little girl in this nursery, she's been in this nursery from the age of 2 and will be leaving to go into reception at layfield.All of the staff are amazing and have helped my daughter so much ,the way they have supported with the transition to reception has been fab. The fact the nursery is open all year round is great as I work full time and I don't have enough holidays to cover all the school holidays ,I would have been lost without them . Updates come regular on the app but I know staff are available to talk to if I have any questions. Thank you to everyone at spring .

My daughters have been at the nursery since 2022. I can't fault the place. The staff are experienced, approachable and friendly. Both girls have always run in without any bother. They have made friends and taken the first steps in their education in a secure environment which has helped make them confident and happy.

The staff at Spring Layfield are fantastic. They look after our boys with such care and attention, and we feel they are truly invested in the boy's development and happiness. The app is always updated with pictures and activities to help us understand what the kids have been up to. All the staff are really friendly and are happy to talk about any extra support they can offer the children.

My daughter attended on and off since she was about 8 months old. She learnt so much and really enjoys her sessions. Made great friends, connected with the staff and gained a lot of confidence. She is in reception now and we still use the service during the term breaks. Staff are always very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much of a problem. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter loves all the activities and all the different things they do each day. She is absolutely thriving - she knows sign language and the staff encourage her to use this along with her words!

Absolutely recommend this fantastic nursery, my son loves to go and has the loveliest time whilst there. We get updates throughout the day on basic necessities (feeding, sleeping, toilet etc) and then frequent updates on his learning journey throughout his time there. The communication app is so easy to use and will even let you add your own home learning to it. The staff are always friendly and happy to help, I know that when I drop my son off he's guaranteed to be safe, loved and happy.

I went in for my son's introduction over a 3-day period. The staff really helped my son settle in and really helped me understand the nursery. All the members of staff I met were really nice and had lots of knowledge about child care which really put my mind at ease. They also update the app with photos and info which is good for parents. Overall it was a very welcoming and pleasant experience and I really look forward to sending my little boy there.

Amazing nursery with the most lovely staff. My little boy always has a smile on his face whenever he gets dropped off. They are always doing loads of fun activities, and the app is great for regular updates about how he is doing.

Amazing nursery with the loveliest staff! My little boy is so happy in Spring and loves going! He has advanced with his speech and social skills so much since starting. The app is fab too as I can see what my child is up to and get regular updates! Thank you.

Both of the children love going to nursery and have built great relationships with the carers/staff often coming home and speaking about how good of a day they have had! Even though the nursery isn't the closest to us in distance we would still choose to take the children there due to the high quality of the nursery and would recommend it to anyone.

Both my boys have attended Spring and have settled amazingly well. The staff are friendly, approachable and always helpful. Both of them have come on leaps and bounds are are happy when I pick them up. Communication is excellent, and I always get a swift response from the staff. I know they are safe and content. Can’t thank the staff enough.

I can’t thank the staff at Spring enough. My granddaughter has gone to Spring for two and half years and would continue to go, but starts full time school in September. She will still attend through the school holidays, as she enjoys being there, and possibly some after school sessions. The staff are all fantastic and the nursery is a lovely place for children of all ages. Extremely highly recommended for anyone looking for child care, look no further.

We are going to miss them as my daughter moves to start primary school. Spring Layfield has given her the best possible start and we are extremely grateful to them.

The Spring Layfield team have been wonderful this past year supporting my children in breakfast club and full-day sessions. The team are really thoughtful, organised and always happy to help. My boys have had a wonderful year at Spring Layfield and it has really helped my youngest be ready for reception in September.

Spring is absolutely amazing. The staff are so warm and friendly. My daughter loves her days in the nursery. I love that there are lots of photos shared when they do different activities, and the communication is brilliant.

We are relatively new to this nursery, and having had an experience with another major chain nursery, I can definitely say Springs Layfield's is fantastic, especially when it comes to communication and their staff. The app they use to communicate with parents is great. All the staff are friendly and attentive. It’s a small and lovely little nursery, and we love that they take kids out for trips to the library and allotments and have a forest school. Both my little boy and girl love going there, and I love receiving regular updates on them while at work.
