Spring Nursery Layfield is based in Yarm and provides day care sessions for children aged from 2 months - 11 years.

The nursery is in a purpose-built building situated within Layfield Primary School. The nursery operates from 2 rooms, one of these rooms is for babies from 2 months until they are 3 years.

The nursery provides full and half-day sessions for children of this age, opening at 7.30 on a morning and closing at 6 pm in the evening. All fees are inclusive of meals, which are freshly prepared for the children and menus are approved by a dietician meeting the standards set in the Eat Better, Start Better document issued by Action for Children.

The nursery has been rated 5 stars by environmental health and was graded 'Good' by Ofsted in August 2018. The nursery is able to provide both term time and all year round places for children and provides funded 2 and 3-year-old spaces.

The Second room is a pre-school room for children from 3 - 11 years. The nursery has excellent links with Layfield Primary School and work together to share the 30 hour funded places for children 3 years old.

The nursery also provides breakfast and afterschool club for children attending the school and operate a holiday club which can be accessed by children from other schools within the area.

I first visited Spring while exploring childcare options ahead of returning to work. I was anxious, emotional, and full of questions, the manager was incredibly kind and reassuring, answering everything and immediately putting me at ease.
My daughter started at Spring at 10 months old, and I genuinely
don't think I could have found a more wonderful nursery. Nine months on, she runs in every morning without a backward glance and comes home full of joy.
As an anxious parent, I've felt fully supported. No question has ever been dismissed, and I've never felt silly for calling or checking in. The staff are truly exceptional, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my daughter.
Every member of the baby room team has been amazing, and I have no doubt her experience will continue to be just as positive as she moves into the next stage.
Thank you to all of the staff at Spring, the impact you make is truly invaluable.

I'm so glad I made the decision to have my little girl in this nursery, she's been in this nursery from the age of 2 and will be leaving to go into reception at layfield.All of the staff are amazing and have helped my daughter so much ,the way they have supported with the transition to reception has
been fab. The fact the nursery is open all year round is great as I work full time and I don't have enough holidays to cover all the school holidays ,I would have been lost without them . Updates come regular on the app but I know staff are available to talk to if I have any questions. Thank you to everyone at spring .

My daughters have been at the nursery since 2022. I can't fault the place. The staff are experienced, approachable and friendly. Both girls have always run in without any bother. They have made friends and taken the first steps in their education in a secure environment which has helped make them confident

My daughter attended on and off since she was about 8 months old. She learnt so much and really enjoys her sessions. Made great friends, connected with the staff and gained a lot of confidence. She is in reception now and we still use the service during the term breaks. Staff are always very friendly
and helpful, nothing is too much of a problem. Would definitely recommend.

The staff are absolutely fantastic with my little girl! They give updates every day along with pictures on the app every other month or week, I know exactly what she's eaten and how much, she loves going to nursery seeing all her friends.
She is a medical baby and the staff know everything about her
medical history, administer meds when required and if necessary inform me when she is not acting herself. They offer a variety of food and snacks throughout the day.
My daughter loves all the activities and all the different things they do each day. She is absolutely thriving - she knows sign language and the staff encourage her to use this along with her words!

Absolutely recommend this fantastic nursery, my son loves to go and has the loveliest time whilst there. We get updates throughout the day on basic necessities (feeding, sleeping, toilet etc) and then frequent updates on his learning journey throughout his time there. The communication app is so easy
to use and will even let you add your own home learning to it. The staff are always friendly and happy to help, I know that when I drop my son off he's guaranteed to be safe, loved and happy.

I went in for my son's introduction over a 3-day period. The staff really helped my son settle in and really helped me understand the nursery. All the members of staff I met were really nice and had lots of knowledge about child care which really put my mind at ease. They also update the app with photos
and info which is good for parents. Overall it was a very welcoming and pleasant experience and I really look forward to sending my little boy there.

Both of the children love going to nursery and have built great relationships with the carers/staff often coming home and speaking about how good of a day they have had! Even though the nursery isn't the closest to us in distance we would still choose to take the children there due to the high quality
of the nursery and would recommend it to anyone.

Both my boys have attended Spring and have settled amazingly well. The staff are friendly, approachable and always helpful. Both of them have come on leaps and bounds are are happy when I pick them up. Communication is excellent, and I always get a swift response from the staff. I know they are safe

I can’t thank the staff at Spring enough. My granddaughter has gone to Spring for two and half years and would continue to go, but starts full time school in September. She will still attend through the school holidays, as she enjoys being there, and possibly some after school sessions. The staff are
all fantastic and the nursery is a lovely place for children of all ages. Extremely highly recommended for anyone looking for child care, look no further.

We have had such a wonderful time at Spring Layfield. I have had 2 children go through the nursery and they have both loved every minute.
The range of activities they do is wonderful. My daughter has greatly enjoyed her visits to the library, allotment and forest school.
You couldn’t ask for more
caring, thoughtful and kind staff.
We are going to miss them as my daughter moves to start primary school. Spring Layfield has given her the best possible start and we are extremely grateful to them.

We are relatively new to this nursery, and having had an experience with another major chain nursery, I can definitely say Springs Layfield's is fantastic, especially when it comes to communication and their staff. The app they use to communicate with parents is great. All the staff are friendly and
attentive. It’s a small and lovely little nursery, and we love that they take kids out for trips to the library and allotments and have a forest school. Both my little boy and girl love going there, and I love receiving regular updates on them while at work.

My little boy started a few months back from being at another nursery. Sometimes he can be shy around new faces, so thought it was going to be a mega challenge for him to settle in, but wow, the staff went all out, and my little boy now runs in and waves bye. He loves going to nursery and has made lots
of new friends. The staff are really good and keep me updated with everything my little boy does there. He’s come out of his shell so much since starting Spring, thanks to his favourites, and Spring is definitely lucky to have them, and he will definitely miss them all, once he goes into big school! Would recommend Spring to everyone - 10/10!

I am really satisfied with this nursery. The moment I drop my child, it makes me feel that my child is in safe hands. All the staff are very supportive and attentive towards the children. Everyone is so welcoming. Even the settling down days becomes so comfortable for the newbies. They make sure you
are well connected with your little one, even when you aren’t there with their personalised app. Everything is updated in the nursery app from feeding to nappy change to nap time. At the time of any concerns related to your little one, they make sure to communicate that time with the parents. I will really appreciate and recommend choosing this nursery for your children.

My little girl started Spring nursery in January 2022 and has come on leaps and bounds since. She attended a different nursery for 2 years before this, and I honestly wish we had found Spring sooner. She loves the outdoor activities and has had lots of opportunities to get involved with various ones
