Bright Horizons Hedge End Day Nursery and Preschool

The staff are exceptionally caring, calm and attentive. It's clear they genuinely love and nurture the children, treating them with kindness and patience every day. Thanks to their support, we are also starting our second baby here and I feel so much more relaxed. Wonderful team!

Cannot recommend the team at Bright Horizons more, particularly the baby room. Our daughter was 10 months when she started and has come on so much since then! I know a big part of that is thanks to the support and encouragement that the wonderful team gives her everyday.

The settling in sessions were fantastic and they tweaked everything for each child individually, rather than a one size fits all approach. She loves going to nursery and it means so much to us knowing she's in such caring hands. The team there show patience and kindness to all of the children in their care and we've found the team really do look after her and treat her like one of their own.

Our daughter has had a great time settling in here! The staff are great and she's formed wonderful bonds with everyone in the baby room. We so appreciate all the hard work they do. The nursery itself is a fantastic set-up with a beautiful garden and plenty of space for the kids to enjoy themselves. We're happy we made the perfect choice for our little one and highly recommend it to anyone else considering nursery, particularly an early starter!

I cannot fault Bright Horizons Hedge End. My daughter has been going since September 2025 (we moved out of area from her previous preschool). I didn't think we'd find anywhere as good as her last preschool, and yet BH Hedge End have exceeded our expectations and more! They have been so accommodating to a recent diet change for her and they've been so on it with regards to her learning and furthering her development. I am over the moon with the care and support she (and I) continue to receive at BH Hedge End. Thank you everyone.

My son struggled to settle at first but his key worker and other staff in his room didn't give up on trying to help him settle and feel comfortable with them. Now he is doing really well and that's down to them. Wonderful nursery. They are always doing new activities and it's so lovely having updates throughout the day.

The best nursery with the kindest, most caring people. The staff and management are exactly the sort of people you want to take care of your baby. Cannot recommend them highly enough - we had our daughter in before she was able to sit unassisted and they were super supportive in helping her develop - she was suddenly able to crawl and walk not too long after. Nursery has encouraged her to develop and the team have been critical to that. Thank you so so much for taking such great care of our little one!

We've 2 girls at Bright Horizons and they love it. They'll keep engaged and learn so much whilst having fun. We measure their fun with how messy they come home - and by that measure they definitely have fun.

Always a friendly welcome every day to both me and my daughter and immediately gives her attention so she feels happy, welcome and calm before I leave. My daughter always leaves happy which is obviously a reflection of her day and we always get an update of how her day was proactively without having to ask which shows the team are naturally dedicated to caring for the children. Feel she has had a great experience and always tells of what she's enjoyed doing and she's now confident and ready for school.

Excellent nursery. My child is very happy here and loves the outside spaces. Staff are always helpful, friendly and supportive. They are constantly looking to improve their offering, whether it be the addition of the children’s library of books or extra support for stages of your children’s development. Would 100% recommend to friends and family.

Can't fault them really.

My son started in the Bright Horizons Nursery in September and is doing really well! Very happy when I collect him and talks about his day. Staff are always positive and tell us about his day. The setting itself is really nice and we liked the fact they only take 26 children a day. The garden is really nice too.

Experience at the nursery has been excellent, my child lives going to school, she always comes back happy. The teachers are amazing and communicate well. My husband and I both work and we always feel our child is very safe and in good hands.

My only downside for the nursery is more of a head office issue and that relates to their invoicing system. I do not agree with being charged for bank holidays and not being able to gain a proper explanation for why. If this wasn’t an issue I would definitely give the nursery 5 stars, because the staff really are great!

The nursery staff are excellent. They are attentive and accommodating. It is a very good nursery and they support every child in their nursery. They also listen to parents which is paramount. I would absolutely recommend this nursery to anyone.

My daughter has been attending the nursery unit for nearly two years. The whole time I’ve been so happy with all the staff, transitioning, care and facilities provided. The nursery managers are incredible and very approachable and always have a smile on their faces. The whole nursery setting feels homely and the staff just complete it, they’re truly an asset to the nursery unit. Highly recommend!

The staff are all lovely but most importantly my son thoroughly enjoys going there! They seem to interact well with all the children and have a good knowledge of my son's likes/dislikes and what he wants/needs.

The nursery staff are understanding and compassionate. They are very good with the kids, and the number ratio per staff is manageable, where your child is taken care of and able to form close affectionate bonds. It's safe and secure. My child adapted quickly and they made the transition easy by settling into sessions. It's a shame they do not offer much flexibility but have options of half-day, full-day, weekly, half weekly enrolment for structure and stability for the children.

Also pleased with the mixture of sensory play among other great activities they have done.

Staff are friendly and supportive. My daughter loves going, she even gets sad when it’s not a nursery day. My daughter is progressing and learning a lot, thank you to the team at Bright Horizon Hedge End.
