Kids Planet Blackrod offers flexible day care for children aged between 3 months and 5 years old and is conveniently located with good access to public transport.

The nursery is set in a beautiful, historic building with lots of bright open space, perfect for children to play and socialise whilst also providing quieter areas for the younger visitors or children who enjoy calmer activities.

Staff are experienced and qualified, understanding that the transition to a nursery, and later on to school, can be a difficult time for children and families. They strive to work collaboratively with them, making the process as easy and as fun as it can possibly be, giving families the peace of mind that their child is in the best possible hands during their time at the nursery.

The nursery is open from 7am-6pm, making it ideal for working families.

Absolutely fantastic nursery with the best staff we could ask and hope for to care for our daughter. All staff seem happy and extremely caring when looking after our child.
Our daughter has been attending Blackrod since 9 months old - she is now 3 and we would choose this nursery again and again.

My experience has been very supportive. My child has struggled with settling into the different room, but each key person has supported her through these transitions. If I have ever a problem the management staff have always dealt with in a very professional and supportive manner. I am very happy with
the nursery.

My child has settled so well in the toddler room, he is so well cared for and the staff look after him so well. They keep me well informed of his activities each day and I feel they all know him so well.

My son loves going to nursery at Kids Planet Blackrod. He is always excited to be dropped off and has a big smile on his face when collected. He is stimulated, entertained and challenged. The staff are very friendly and approachable. They clearly have a close bond with my son and encourage him to achieve
his next goals. I am always kept informed of his daily activities and his progress. Thank you to the amazing staff who take good care of my son.

The three girls that run lower pre-school are outstanding. My boy talks about them a lot. He always looks forward to his nursery days. His confidence has really come along leaps and bounds. The girls are always responsive to my requests for his learning needs, and set appropriate goals for his age level.
The new makeover of his nursery room is lovely, I really like all the new wooden toys and that they're always playing outside when I pick him up.
Very pleased parents, would highly recommend.

The team at Kids Planet Blackrod have cared for my child for the last 4 years, and over those 4 years the care we have received has been outstanding. The team are just fantastic and have made the early years so much fun at Kids Planet. From the moment we viewed the setting we knew it was right for what
we were looking for. We have built great relationships with the team and we knew our child was being looked after in a safe, fun, kind and caring environment.

Kids Planet has been an exceptional care setting for my son (nearly 4 years old) right through from babies to upper preschool. He loves his friends and teachers and is excited to go every day.
The staff are amazing and the level of care is fantastic, I would highly recommend.

Our experience of Kids Planet is a positive one. Staff plan and deliver activities to help challenge, develop and encourage our children to learn and achieve their milestones. The outdoor play area is also a fantastic space.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2013

I joined the nursery in August 2013, when it was formally known as The Owls Nursery, where I began my journey as a practitioner within the baby room, progressing to Nursery Manager in January 2019. I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and Social Policy and have worked within the Early Years sector for 18 years. Parent Partnerships is something that I am very passionate about, I enjoy meeting new families and working together collaboratively to ensure the children thrive from their nursery experience.
