Kids Planet Blackrod offers flexible day care for children aged between 3 months and 5 years old and is conveniently located with good access to public transport.

The nursery is set in a beautiful, historic building with lots of bright open space, perfect for children to play and socialise whilst also providing quieter areas for the younger visitors or children who enjoy calmer activities.

Staff are experienced and qualified, understanding that the transition to a nursery, and later on to school, can be a difficult time for children and families. They strive to work collaboratively with them, making the process as easy and as fun as it can possibly be, giving families the peace of mind that their child is in the best possible hands during their time at the nursery.

The nursery is open from 7am-6pm, making it ideal for working families.

Amazing nursery, staff are so pleasant and lovely and my daughter absolutely loves them all! Always keeping me updated with the app, providing pictures and the nursery is clean and tidy. I rest easy going to work knowing that my daughter is well looked after 10/10.

The staff have been very helpful, giving us a lot of information about how our son is doing, etc. They tend to keep us up to date with pictures, nappy changes, etc, which gives me and the dad a lot of reassurance that our son is getting the care he needs.

My little girl started in January when she was 10 months old, and she is now in the tots room. She has progressed so much within her development since starting at Kids Planet! She is confident, happy and comfortable and I can only thank Kids Planet for that. The staff across the baby room and tots have
been amazing and so accommodating, you can tell they really care for the children and their safety. I have not been disappointed so far and hope the amazing staff team continue their hard work and dedication towards my child's learning. Just want to say a big thank you for making my little girl feel happy and settled. I would definitely recommend Kids Planet Blackrod to any parent looking for quality and trustworthy childcare.

Brilliant nursery and the staff are very attentive and caring, my child loves going into nursery. The communication from the app is really good too, with photos and updates of what my child has been up to. Any queries I have had have been dealt with promptly. Would really recommend this nursery.

Brilliant nursery. Nothing is too much trouble and all the staff are lovely and friendly. They offer lots of different experiences for the children from swimming, yoga to Spanish. Cannot recommend it enough.

My son began attending the Tots room from the beginning of September for 2 days a week. The management team were very knowledgeable and welcoming and made me feel reassured that he was in good hands. He has settled in brilliantly and loves going to nursery. The staff are very nurturing and approachable,
they have quickly made relationships with my son and us as a family. My son has opportunities to develop all areas of his learning and I can already see the development in him after just 1 month.

My daughter loves each and every day at Kids Planet Blackrod. She's got a brilliant relationship with all the staff in her room and whilst a little nervous/tearful on her first few days, she runs in now for breakfast each morning when I drop her off. Can't recommend highly enough.

A nursery that has staff that care for the children like their own! My son goes to swimming lessons, yoga and Spanish lessons! The grounds are amazing. He goes in there skipping each morning and comes home so happy! He is well cared for and some learning opportunities take place linked to phonics, ensuring

My daughter has been going to Owls for around two years; she thoroughly enjoys it and is always excited to go - even when we pass at weekends, she wants to go in!
The staff are lovely, always happy to help and are brilliant with the children. It always feels like im chatting with friends, not my child's
teacher when I pick her up.
I also love the fact that the children have the opportunity to have swimming lessons, which speaking to my friends, is uncommon in nurseries, but is a skill that I feel is important to learn.
They have a lovely outdoor play area and always have special days in the month celebrating different events from all over the world where children dress up, cook and do fun activities whilst learning about the history and cultures that surround the day.
Overall, I highly recommend this nursery, I am sad that my daughter will be leaving in September to go to primary, but I know that the staff at Owls have prepared her well for the transition.

My son is so happy here, after starting when he was 7 months old. He beams in the morning when he arrives and it has made going back to work so easy knowing how well looked after he is. Communication from nursery is wonderful and I really do feel like the staff love my little boy.

Kids Planet was the obvious choice for me, as so many of my friends and family have sent their children there with such positive experiences. Both of my children have made such wonderful memories and formed incredible relationships with both children and members of staff. I couldn’t have wished for

My son loves coming to nursery, his development has come on leaps and bounds from the excellent care he receives. All the staff are extremely friendly and trustworthy, making it so much easier when leaving your child in their care!

All staff are super friendly and helpful. My child enjoys coming to nursery each day. I feel the learning is good but would like to see more development review on the app along with things we can work on at home. The staff take safeguarding seriously, on occasion they have to double-check who is picking
up as sometimes it's a new person. Nursery is always clean, despite messy kids! The only grumble I have is it is quiet expensive. There are cheaper alternatives in my area, but as it's on the way to work and my child loves it, I wouldn't want to move,

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2013

I joined the nursery in August 2013, when it was formally known as The Owls Nursery, where I began my journey as a practitioner within the baby room, progressing to Nursery Manager in January 2019. I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and Social Policy and have worked within the Early Years sector for 18 years. Parent Partnerships is something that I am very passionate about, I enjoy meeting new families and working together collaboratively to ensure the children thrive from their nursery experience.
