All I can judge it by is my sons reaction from both being dropped off and picked up. He is always very, very happy. The teachers are very welcoming and seems to be creating a wonderful little world for these young ones to explore.
We have had a great experience with this nursery. The staff are very friendly and supportive, always taking the time to provide feedback or answer any questions we have. My little one loves it and enjoys his time here. Would definitely recommend it.
We have had a great experience at Bright Horizons Wimbledon house. The staff are all qualified professionals, friendly and take good care of each child. From the manger to the chef they make you feel at home and make an effort to get to know the families. We are truly sad to leave Wimbledon house, our son really enjoyed his stay, but sure he will always treasure the good memories he had at his first nursery.
Very experienced and friendly staff. My daughter goes to nursery every morning with a very happy attitude. She talks about what she learns and who she played with. This gives me the feeling she feels safe and loves the environment.
My son has been attending Wimbledon House since July 2020 when I returned to work. The onboarding process was very smooth, professional but also friendly, the manager arranged a zoom call for us to meet over video and answered any questions I had. The nursery is in a very convenient location and drop-off/collections are very straightforward. The building is large and clearly has lots of space for the children and there are several outdoor areas for each age group. The staff are superb - they are very welcoming and all very engaging with the children. They were particularly good in the first few weeks when my son was settling in, they kept me regularly updated which put my mind at rest. My son clearly enjoys his time there. Once we arrive he has a huge smile on his face and is eager to get inside. He is very well-fed and cared for there. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wimbledon House, it has exceeded my expectations and I’m extremely glad I chose it.
I thank the staff for looking after him so well and the cook for making his lunch (he does like to eat).
My son adores his key worker who is truly wonderful with him and knows his little personality so well. I call every day and get a full update on what he's been up to and any new skills he's acquired and it's been so special to see him grow and develop over the past few months.
It was clear to me when I visited that this was somewhere I could imagine leaving my (then) baby. The manager and deputy manager clearly had a great rapport with all the children when we looked around and it felt like the happiest little place! I haven't been disappointed, the care and sensitivity they have shown my son has allowed me to go back to work knowing he's in the best possible hands. The facilities and outside space are wonderful too!
Would highly recommend.
My son has been attending Wimbledon House since he was 10 months old and is now nearly 4 and a happy member of the preschool room. In that period there have been ups and downs and some issues with staff retention in the earlier days but at no point did I question my son’s happiness and development. Management changes within the last year have been pivotal in improving that staff retention and all staff seem happy and motivated, and are always being trained in new areas or updated on changes in existing legislation. Even in recent difficult times, the team’s procedures have been safe and seamless. So much so that my now 1 year old twins attend the nursery and are thriving. So well done and a big thank you to the current manager and deputy.
Our daughter has been attending Wimbledon House since she was 6-months-old, and it's been a wonderful place for her. We've seen her little personality and skills come on so much over the past several months, and she is so interested in socialising with other children. Wimbledon House have consistently been friendly, professional, and understanding, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic (we weren't charged a penny while they had to shut). We're so happy with the nursery and have actually reconsidered moving our daughter to another nursery at age 2 because she's doing so well at Wimbledon House and we love the staff and their approach.
They have been amazing at implementing all COVID-19 precautions and have made it as seamless as possible for the children.
The outside space at Wimbledon House is fantastic, and the children get to spend a lot of time in the play areas, which is wonderful during the spring and summer months. There are also plenty of parking spaces to make drop off easy (if needed).
I would recommend this nursery for anyone looking for childcare in the area.
Thank you so much for helping our daughter in preparing for her Reception. I would also like to mention the chef and her great meals for the children. We wish you all many years of success at Wimbledon House.
The preschool leader has successfully run many parent seminars over the last two years which include showcasing the EYFS curriculum and then preparing children for the next steps of school. Every learning example was explained to how it would help my child with their next steps. She always had activities ready for the children to keep them stimulated and learning simultaneously.
The quality of food needs to be improved at this nursery. This is the one area that really needs to be addressed.
Apart from this issue, I would highly recommend this nursery for future placements.
It is great to hear your little one has made a smooth transition into school and nursery played a key part in that.
With regards to your concerns on food, I will ensure this is fed back to the management team and the nursery setting.
Kind Regards.
I have two children who have attended Wimbledon House on a part-time basis since they were 13 months old and they have genuinely thrived there. The management staff have worked so hard to provide an environment that is stable, loving and fun for all of the children. I often struggle to get my two out of the garden when I pick them up. Pre-School, in particular, has been transformed in the past 12 months. The kids LOVE the staff in there and they have worked tirelessly to provide the widest range of activities to engage and encourage the children in all aspects of life. My eldest recently left for school, confident, happy and excited for his next chapter. Wimbledon House should pat themselves on the back for a job very well done. Thank you!
This is an excellent nursery that greatly helped our child's development and, we believe, has put her in a very strong position to be starting primary school - both in terms of social development and learning.
In particular, the pre-school is outstanding. The staff really take the time to get to know each child and attend to their individual needs.
A fantastic nursery, the staff really want the best for your child. My little one (two years) has been treated with care and support. Even though my child goes to the nursery part-time, the staff have tailored a programme to encourage her to reach her full potential.
My son started at Wimbledon House in February 2019. The nursery is excellent. The staff are polite, friendly and professional and genuinely care for the individual needs of the children they look after. We receive a daily report of our son's progress as well as more detailed parents evenings to keep us informed of progress. The building and grounds are kept clean and hygienic and there is also a range of activities organised each week to keep the kids entertained. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.
Very professionally run nursery with great staff and high quality leadership by the nursery managers.
We think Wimbledon House Nursery is excellent and would be very happy to recommend it to others.
The staff are very professional, friendly and caring. Our daughter is always very happy to go to nursery! They have made a very positive impact on her learning and development.
Our daughter has a number of serious allergies and we've been extremely impressed with the care they've shown and how this has been managed.
Our daughter started attending Bright Horizons at 10 months, and from the start, the staff were great at helping her settle in and keeping us updated on her progress. We appreciate the daily reports of what she's been up to, what she's learnt, and the new friends she's making.
It was tough at the start, and for the first few weeks she was very upset when I left her in the morning, but she was cheerful when we picked her up and now there are days when she's genuinely happy at drop off and not concerned at all when I leave! She's constantly learning new words, songs and skills, and we get regular updates on how she's doing and her development.
The staff have been great; one lady especially was my daughters favourite when she was settling in and was very reassuring at the start when drop-offs were tough. This lady has now moved to another room, but my daughter is comfortable with all the staff and we feel she's very well looked after. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bright Horizons.

Meet the Team (2)
I have 10 years of experience in childcare. I entered childcare as I have a passion for helping babies and children progress and develop. I love what I do and have amassed a wealth of knowledge along the way. Using my child-centred approach to developing children, keeps me with a hands-on attitude. I am a strong motivator, with a willingness to succeed and push the team to new limits that bring the outcomes for children to a new level.
Hi, my name is Louise and I am the Deputy Manager of Bright Horizons Wimbledon House.
