Kids Planet Knaresborough is located on Manse Lane in Knaresborough in North Yorkshire. It was the third nursery in the former Twinkles group and opened its doors in September 2012. The 92-place nursery offers full day care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.                

Kids Planet Knaresborough strives to give children the best start to life by giving them the confidence to play and learn about the world around them. The focus is on learning through play where children are nurtured and encouraged to discover their own unique personality and take part in a wide variety of activities to boost their imagination and social skills, as they experience the awe and wonder of the world.

Qualified and experienced practitioners help children to learn new skills and develop confidently towards school life. The practitioners are also encouraged to develop new skills, with some members of the team working towards an early years degree.

Parents are kept up-to-date with their child's development through online Learning Journeys and are encouraged to be partners in their children's learning as add comments to observations from nursery and share their own from home. A weekly parent newsletter, themed stay and play sessions and family events mean parents soon become part of the Twinkles family.

Kids Planet Knaresborough (formally Twinkles) were voted Harrogate Mumbler Day Nursery of the Year 2014, 2016 & 2018 and were shortlisted for the award in 2015. They have also been shortlisted for both the NMT and Nursery World Awards three times.

Twinkles Nursery Knaresborough really offered me support when I had to return back to work when my son was 5 months old. Their friendly staff, environment and procedures in place for the children gave me the confidence that my son would only benefit from the attention he would receive here. My son is
now 14 months old and is thriving in Baby Stars. He has made some buddies and enjoys all the learning activities put on by his key worker. Twinkles management team are extremely efficient with their communication and discussing any matters you as a parent may have. The management team are always looking for ways to improve the nursery and take on board any parent feedback. This is really important when evaluating which nursery to send your child to - you always want to have a door open if needs be. We cannot rate this nursery and their facilities high enough, our son enjoys the time he spends there and I know he will miss it when he heads to big school!

Twinkles is a great nursery. My little boy loves going and asks every morning ‘Is it a Twinkles day?’. He is well looked after and has formed good relationships with the staff. He has a good group of friends of whom he loves playing and interacting with. He enjoys playing outside and going out and about
in the summer months. My son has a dairy allergy and is well catered for at nursery, he enjoys most of the meals and has actually become much more willing to try new things since starting at Twinkles. I am glad we chose this nursery.

Twinkles have helped our 2 year old so much and not just by developing him educationally but socially. Twinkles have helped him develop socially into a very confident and friendly little boy, which I think is just as important as his education. We can see from his time at Twinkles what he learns there
as he comes home and does and says things that he has clearly learnt whilst at Twinkles and you can tell he loves going.
Twinkles have also helped him become a better eater as he used to be quite picky but because Twinkles offer a wide variety of food there is not much our little boy will not try - although he is still not overly keen on vegetables!

From day 1, our child has been impatient to get to his 'Twinkles Nursery House' When we collect him, he is always happy and excited to tell us about his day. All the staff are friendly and accommodating which means he is safe and secure in his learning and playing. He even describes his key workers
as his 'best friends.'
We have been invited to join our child in a range of activities, from Valentine's day breakfast to Christmas singing events to stay and play sessions and we always experience a warm welcome.
We are 100% confident in the care he receives and the stimulating learning environment captivates his young mind in a variety of ways.

Twinkles is excellent, I wouldn't consider anywhere else. My daughter loves coming here and she adores the staff. We always get a warm welcome and she never wants to leave. She participates in a large range of activities and is always teaching us a new song she has learnt at nursery. It always smells
delicious from the home cooked meals too which she loves. I would definitely give a 5* rating.

I am extremely impressed with Twinkles, I recommend them to everyone, as I believe there is no other nursery in Harrogate which provides the same level of excellent care. The staff are extremely professional, caring and warm. My son is always happy to go to nursery and is very attached to his key worker,
whom I can not praise enough.
The facilities are fantastic, really clean and spacious.

My eldest started here when it first opened and he absolutely loved it. The staff were excellent and felt like he was at a home from home, they did a lovely graduation when he left and now my youngest attends and I couldn't fault them. My son has severe eczema and allergies and they cater to his needs,
for example applying creams when required and compliments to the chef, he does a great job cooking food for my son when he can not eat certain things on the menu.
Overall they are like family.

Our 20-month-old daughter is really happy at the nursery. She is progressing really well and I am constantly impressed at her understanding and vocabulary. She is able to develop her social skills hugely at nursery and this is portrayed in her daily life outside of the nursery.

I have never felt more confident in leaving my child in the hands of any other establishment.
She is consistently happy at the point of drop off and collection. To be able to see what they do on a daily basis through photos is really special.
All the staff are personable and take extra time to talk
to me, and as a mother that makes you feel even more comfortable with the environment.
My daughter always remembers what she has had for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and really enjoys the home cooked meals that are on offer through a varied menu which is fantastic.
I couldn't speak more highly of Twinkles Knaresborough. My daughter has been attending for over a year and has had a recent room change. This was made smooth and efficient and she's still as happy as ever.

My grandchildren attend Twinkles and I would just like to say what wonderful care they have received. The staff are very approachable and we have had a great deal of support from the nursery.
They are always striving to keep up with the times and make it easy for you keep up with your child's progress.
I can only speak from my experiences but both my grandchildren have grown in confidence and are learning excellent social skills while enjoying creative play.

Outstanding Nursery!
The staff communicate really well and put your mind a rest, especially whilst my twin girls have just transitioned upstairs. You can talk to them and they make you feel at home.
My girls are always happy when I picked them up.
The equipment/toys are all very good quality.
The food is all cooked on site and always smells yummy.
Both my girls have thrived from being at Twinkles.
Highly recommend this nursery.

I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone, they have such a high quality of care, I have 2 children here. My youngest started at 3 months old and I had no fears over the quality of care he would receive. The food they serve is amazing. Freshly prepared every day and cooked in house. They are so
attentive to the children. in my personal experience, I would never send my children anywhere else and will be very sad for my children when they get to school age and have to leave.

My Granddaughter attends Twinkles Knaresborough and I cant begin to convey how impressed I am both by the setting but more importantly by the commitment of the staff.
Every time I have visited the nursery I have been met with a professional response combined with caring staff.

I have 2 children at Twinkles and have had for the past 3 years. I find the facilities and the staff excellent and would highly recommend Twinkles to anyone looking for a nursery. We currently send our 16 month old daughter to Twinkles Nursery in Knaresborough and I can honestly say that it has been one of the most fantastic experiences for her. She was quite a nervous child in new surroundings with new people when I first started back at work and she started nursery. The nursery
team helped her to settle in really quickly and she now doesn't look back when walking through the door. Just the mention of her key worker or any member of the team in her room and she beams. Her development has come on in leaps and bounds and she has grown in confidence meaning she's now enjoying so many more new experiences. The nursery ensure that every day is different, taking the children out for trips, planning new games and activities inside and out, they even have external companies who come in to run singing classes etc which the children love. We have been so pleased with Twinkles and it makes leaving our daughter to go to work bearable and sets my mind at ease.

Lovely, modern setting and great management team. Although the outdoor area is not huge, they certainly maximise the usage. Whenever we had any queries, we are always made welcome to discuss with child's key worker or with the management team.
