Edgebaston Nursery and Preschool is a friendly and welcoming nursery with high standards. Indoor and outdoor areas are stimulating for children. The garden has lots of fun things to do, including the tree house slide, which my daughter particularly loved. The staff are engaging and interactive, actively
developing the children's abilities. The day activities are fed back daily- painting, drawing, crafts and baking, to name a few. Good parent, child, nursery interactiveness with various events to which parents are invited to. The food options are excellent, with the onsite chef cooking fresh meals every day and with quite a variety of dishes per week, which is great for developing little ones palates. The cost is reasonable, in line with surrounding nurseries. An all round great nursery, which I would highly recommend. Well done Edgebaston Nursery, and thank you for taking such good care of my little one.

Our son attended Edgbaston Nursery & Pre-School and most recently my daughter, both have loved it and have great memories of their time here. Pre-School has really helped my daughter get ready for school, staff and management are fantastic, very caring and nothing is too much trouble. Can't thank them
enough I would recommend this Nursery.

Both of my children have had the pleasure of attending this nursery school, and the staff cannot be more lovely and caring towards the children. They are invested in their advancement and always strive to introduce new experiences and fun activities to help them learn. It will be a sad day in a month
or so when we have to say goodbye as my youngest will then go off to school. But I would fully recommend this nursery from baby age up to pre-school.

Excellent nursery, my son was very happy to go. Since the first day he saw the teachers and the ambient inside and outside he loved it. Starting from his first teacher when he was 1 and at the end of his journey 4 years old. Very happy with what he learned. Thank you.

It has been a pleasure for both my daughter and I to have been part of the Edgbaston Nursery & Preschool family for the past several months. I have seen how much she has learnt and developed under her teacher's guidance and was always at ease knowing that she was loved, safe and happy in their care.
Art days and playing in the garden outside were her favourites! I also personally greatly appreciate all the help and support shown by the management. They are very welcoming, approachable and involved in the day to day running of the nursery.

My son who is now at school attended Edgbaston Nursery School and he loved it so much that when I had my daughter it was a no brainer and now she attends it too. They both have and are learning so much. The staff are wonderful and always ready to help when you have a query or issue. They are ever so
kind. When I sometimes drive past the property my daughter starts crying because she wants to be at nursery which indicates to me that she has a good time in there which puts me at ease. It's a wonderful place that cares about your children. I am happy to have been blessed to find this place. A wonderful first investment towards your child's life.

The manager and the rest of the team at Edgbaston have done so much for our daughters over the years. They have both enjoyed their time at Edgbaston immensely and have loved all of the staff that have been there to care for them. It has been a pleasure to watch them grow and learn so much while they
have been at Edgbaston. We would wholeheartedly recommend Edgbaston to any parents looking for a nursery in the area.

My child attended Edgbaston Nursery & Preschool for 2.5 years (2019-2021) and I am pleased to say that my child enjoyed her time there. Staff are friendly and approachable, they work with parents and children to achieve developmental goals. They helped build my child’s confidence and independence which
prepared her for school. It was important for me to find a nursery that embodies the diverse community that I live in, this is shown through staff diversity as well the learning content that the children are exposed to (including books and toys). Lovely outdoor play area at the back of the nursery. The staff have a genuine care for the children and my child always speaks fondly of them.

My daughter attended this nursery for 2 years. She enjoyed her time at the nursery. All the staff are very friendly and easy to approach. The nursery really helped my daughter to shine and she was very upset to leave at the end of pre-school. The nursery always addressed any concerns I had if any.

Edgbaston Nursery & Preschool staff are so caring, loving and nurturing. They always go above and beyond to support children's development. I also love how supportive the staff are when it comes to helping parents.
My daughter received the best care and when she was unwell, I knew the staff would
give her tender loving care to ensure she was taken care of the way I would have. I also recieved messages to keep me posted and this helped take away the guilt that we as parents tend to feel when leaving our unwell children at nursery.
Edgbaston Nursery provides excellent learning opportunities and the transition between preschool and her primary chool has been so smooth as my daughter was introduced to phase 1 phonics sounds and writing letters but all the learning was done through play.
Thank you to all the staff for being the best and always putting 100% into everything you do for the children.

My son has been happy in this school, staff and he had learned many things. He built his confidence to mingle with other people especially with his classmates and friends. Edgbaston Nursery School is such a fantastic nursery. I first brought my son here, and like every parent, I was very apprehensive but my son quickly got attached to the Practioner. Seeing him run towards nursery happy and with zero tears made me feel so at ease. The staff have helped my son with toilet
training and even encouraged him with his speech. I will be sending my second son to nursery in September and I can’t wait to see my second son flourish at Edgbaston Nursery School.

We had a great experience at the nursery, my daughter started in early learners and moved to preschool. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and my daughter enjoyed attending. The procedures they put in place during Covid were excellent. Would recommend.

Excellent nursery I sent both my daughters here. The staff are outstanding, professional and very friendly. The parents are well informed of their child's progress throughout. It's been over 2 years since my eldest daughter left nursery and the youngest one graduated in July they miss their teachers.
Overall great nursery highly recommend.

Our son attended from 11 months and is two weeks away from turning 4. He has grown up with and at the nursery, making friendships and really getting to know the staff. Key workers are very caring and skilled. Most importantly, staff turn-over is quite low so the environment is quite consistent and stable
for children. The nursery is warm, pleasant and a lively environment. We saw a few shiny new nurseries with fancy wooden toys but no character or joy. This is a long-established nursery and you can immediately tell that its a genuinely positive environment for children. The children are from diverse backgrounds as are the staff. Over the years we have had a few complaints but they were always handled quickly and with great care. We really appreciate all the work done by staff and are so grateful to have had the nursery help us for almost 3 years. Our son will really miss this place. We are now sending our twins here, so here's to another 3 years.

My little boy who currently attends Edgbaston Nursery School and has done since he was 9 months old has come on fantastically, The staff are lovely and very welcoming from the moment you walk through the doors with your child!. My little boy settled straight in which gave me the comfort and reassurance
of leaving him and going back to work, (Nervous mom who was going back to work) he’s development has been great since starting and he’s reaching all he’s development goals and more with all the support from the staff, (Now in preschool) The management are fabulous and are always there if you have any queries and a chat, Overall it’s an amazing nursery in which I recommend to anybody!. X

Zareena Rashid

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2012

Zareena is the manager at Edgbaston Nursery School and she has been in this role since the nursery first opened in 2012. Zareena has been working with children and families for just over 16 years and has a wealth of experience in the early years. She also has a degree in Early Childhood Studies & Education studies, level 3 in Leadership & Management, as well as numerous other qualifications.
