Chilworth Day Nursery and Preschool provides exceptional quality childcare and education, supporting your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum.

The unique Ready for School programme fosters an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with the Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancements helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

Our son has been attending for just over a year and we wish we'd arranged his setting sooner, the nursery is great and our son is very happy and goes in smiling and never wants to leave! The staff are very friendly and always contactable. There is a vast array of activities going on for them to enjoy
and learn from, both indoors and outside. We are happy knowing he is safe and always being there. Tapestry is really good for keeping in touch and knowing about their progress.

My daughter has been attending the nursery since September. My partner and I have been very pleased with her progress. The managers and staff in the toddler room are fantastic and very welcoming.
The only possible bad thing is my daughter says that the food is "yucky" but she is a fussy 2-year-old.

Our son attends 3 days a week and it has without a doubt been the best decision we made to place him at this nursery. He was 3 when he first started as he had previously been taken care of by family members. I was nervous and anxious to leave him somewhere different but was instantly put at ease having
spoken with several members of the staff who were so welcoming and reassuring. I cannot believe the difference in my son, his confidence has grown and he has made some great relationships. I am kept well informed of his progress and his day to day activities. The staff pay great attention to each individual child and there is a real family feel. There are great facilities and good indoor and outdoor activities. My son has settled into the nursery really well and I am very grateful to the wonderful staff who have and are supporting my son. I recommend this nursery to any other parents wanting the best start for their children.

Our children have formed wonderfully nurturing relationships with the staff at the nursery. They love the huge range of activities they get exposed to for their learning development. They love the outdoor space and the attached wooded area in the grounds.
We have been extremely grateful at how they
have responded to the pandemic and feel safe with the efforts they have made to protect themselves, the children and us as parents.

Chilworth is a really friendly and efficiently run nursery, so much so that on the way home after a day of nursery my toddler asks to return. The manager and the team are very professional and even in the face of uncertainty as Covid-19 was breaking out and upon re-opening they did not fail to look
after and communicate to parents.

We are extremely happy with the care that our son receives at nursery. He always comes home happy with lots of positive things to say about his day. The staff are so approachable and friendly and they take time and effort to really get to know each child and their families. There are well planned, varied
and exciting activities each day which keep children engaged and learning, without realising. Communication with key workers is good and we are always relaxed when leaving our son in their care.

My family has been associated with this nursery since 2011. My older son had an excellent experience for 4 years. My younger son started from baby room and is now in kindergarten. We love the nursery and the staff-members. The key-workers in all the rooms for both kids have been very loving and attentive,
making sure that any special requirements of the children were attended to, as necessary. Very highly recommended.

We could not be happier with Yellow Dot. The changes in our daughter have been huge. She was always quiet with new people/children and would not leave my side now I watch her talking/playing with new people all the time.
Staff are very friendly and I always feel up to date with what's going on. Love
it. My younger daughter will also go here.

My son has been in the baby room since September 2018. Room Manager and his key worker are very caring and responsible. They are fully aware of my son's progress and help him grow physically and mentally. They look after him really well. They are friendly and transparent to parents about what is happening
every day. They reached me at the first instance about each accident. Staff are trying different ways to encourage and entertain my son. We are very pleased to see my son's progress and happiness in the nursery. Appreciate everyone's brilliant work.

Both of my children attend and they absolutely love it. The staff are all lovely, the nursery is always clean and my children love the activities they are able to do there. I am really happy with the care Yellow Dot have provided for my children over the last 18 months and I am so glad we found them.

I was so pleased when I got my son into Yellow Dot Chilworth.
It's a great location and I love that it's a purpose built site.
The staff are caring and I have seen my son go from strength to strength there.
I never have any concerns about his welfare there and trust the team 100%.
The extra activities
laid on are great too with my son benefiting from swimming lessons and football with a football club.
We love it here and are sad when it's time to leave.

Yellow Dot is fantastic.
My son recently moved from babies to toddlers and he has loved both rooms.
The learning and fun at Yellow Dot is exceptional and all of the staff are incredibly caring.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have over ten years of childcare experience and am thrilled to now be leading and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding practice here at the Science Park. I spent six years of my career studying, starting with a foundation degree in childhood studies and then progressing onto a BA Hons in the early years.


The majority of my career has been working with children aged 3 - 5 years which is where my love for letters and sounds began! Letters and sounds have been a passion of mine since my first position as a preschool practitioner, as they naturally encourage 'school readiness. Throughout my career, I have supported many children with additional needs; another passion that was sparked early on in my career. I have been fortunate enough to be SENCO in a previous setting, which enabled me to enhance my practice further. I work closely with our nursery SENCO to ensure we are meeting the needs of all children within our care.


I am driven to provide a fun, safe and stimulating environment for all children who attend our setting and work closely with the team to ensure the children we care for have fun, exciting experiences. We aim to provide open-ended experiences for all ages here at Chilworth both indoors and outdoors! If you would like to know more please give us a call and we can book you for a personal tour.

I have been working in childcare since I gained my level 3 qualification in Childhood Studies in 2001. Over that time I have worked in most roles within the nursery setting from cover staff to room leader.


I started here at Chilworth in 2019 as Deputy Manager and have shared the vision of the nursery to deliver high-quality experiences for the children.


I have experience working with children of all ages and am passionate about supporting children with their development in all areas. I strive to support the staff team in creating awe and wonder in all rooms throughout the nursery, there is nothing more rewarding to me than hearing and seeing the children explore and learn beyond their own imagination.
