Chilworth Day Nursery and Preschool provides exceptional quality childcare and education, supporting your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

The well-qualified team of highly motivated and experienced staff work together to provide a well-balanced programme of fun activities and learning experiences, within a carefully planned curriculum.

The unique Ready for School programme fosters an enjoyment of early literacy and maths, with the Growing Readers, Writers and Mathematicians Enhancements helping children to recognise letters, words and numbers in their environment.

The nursery features high quality educational resources to suit the age and stage of the children. There are role-play areas in every room to encourage cognitive development, as well as dedicated creative areas.

My child has been at the nursery since they were 2 years old. The staff have always been very supportive, especially with difficult drop offs and changes to our family life. My child has strong bonds with the staff and other children.

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was 9 months old and she'll be going to school this year. She has had a wonderful time from day one and we have not had any cause for concern. The staff have been brilliant and supportive.

My son had shown signs of lack of development and everything I had tried seemed not to be working I now bring him here 3 days a week for the last couple of months and he has lept and bound in his development I can't believe how far he has come in such a short time. He is always talking about the things
he has done that day, the staff there and his new friends he has made. 10/5 stars for this nursery and the amazing team they have there

My daughters both started in the baby room one year after the other, they are now in the nursery room and pre school. Initially they struggled with separation anxiety, however it didn’t take long for them to start loving their nursery days and waving me off. This is down to the wonderful staff at Chilworth,
they really cater to every individual child’s emotional needs and integrate them really well into the nursery surroundings and routine. I enjoy drop off and pick up as the staff always take time to give me a detailed account of the girls’ day. The girls learn so many new things from nursery and eat really well there, they only ever have good things to say. The staff have been very supportive through toilet training and also to personal circumstances such as family bereavement. I will miss the nursery and the staff once the girls start school.

My son attended this nursery from 9 months till he started school in 2021. My daughter has also been here since 9 months and is due to start school in September. I can’t emphasise enough how pleased we are with their growth while they have been here. They have enjoyed every moment and learnt so much.
The team are great and plan so many fun and educational activities.

Had my concerns with my son going to nursery as he has a dairy allergy, he has been going there now for over a year and all the staff really love him and he loves them to bits, I can leave him there knowing he is going to be well cared for while I am at work.

My daughter has been here for the last seven months. I was really nervous about her starting and settling in and I shouldn't have been. She absolutely loves it. All of the staff are approachable, the communication generally and at pick up is fantastic and it's a really safe environment. We love the
app and being able to be kept up to date throughout the day is great, especially when there are posts showing the different activities they have been doing. The staff are always doing different activities with the kids to keep them stimulated. There is lots of outdoor time where weather permits and I really feel like the staff work so hard to help the children progress. The change in my daughter is unbelievable. Couldn't be happier with this nursery.

Our daughter has attended the nursery for over two years now (from the baby room to the nursery room) and she has very clearly enjoyed her time there, building some brilliant relationships with staff and other children. The staff are always friendly and provide lots of information at pick up on how

My son has been attending the nursery for the last eight weeks and the nursery could not have been any more accommodating to meet my son's and family's needs. The nursery, my son's keyworker and the management have been amazing at supporting my son to settle in, including working with us to support
him to sleep whilst there. The whole team are very warm, friendly and approachable. They provide a high standard of care and the management are happy to get involved in supporting the staff and children. Highly recommend the nursery without a doubt.

My children, aged 2-year-old and 3-year-old, started at Bright Horizons before their 1st birthday. I'm forever grateful that I can drop them off in the morning knowing they are in a happy, nurturing and safe environment. The staff are experienced, supportive and build great relationships with the children
and parents. I particularly love getting updates and photos on the Bright Horizons app, showing them doing an array of fun and stimulating activities. I can't thank the staff enough for their dedication over the last couple of years. During a really challenging time, families were well-supported and the childcare continued to be of a high standard. They were my saviour throughout this period. My daughter is not due to start school until next September, however, I feel she is already very well prepared, thanks to her time here. She is sociable, confident and will be well equipped for the next step. Overall, we have had a very positive experience and truly believe it's an outstanding nursery.

My little boy absolutely loves attending Bright Horizons Chilworth Day Nursery and Preschool. He’s formed excellent relationships with his key workers and is happy there all day long. It’s a delight to see him enjoying all the food on offer every day and absolutely loving some of the “messy play” carried
out, in particular, the painting and garden activities. My experience at drop off and pick up have been excellent. The nursery staff are friendly and caring, carrying out the handover in a professional and kind manner.

I have two children at Bright Horizons Chilworth and couldn't be happier. The staff are fab, the environment is stimulating and my children love it. Even during Covid, the staff have made an effort to do proper handovers and they always have time to talk about any issues or questions.

Our little lady is very happy and is growing nicely at the nursery. She is on a full 5-day schedule, there are a lot of activities and plenty of outdoor time- which she loves. When home, she talks a lot about what she did at the nursery during the day and how she played with her friends, interacted
with the key persons etc. The care and level of attention she gets is great and suits her fine. In the year after the first lockdown, we could see that all staff are extremely dedicated and took great care in having the children back. Thank you!

The nursery has been a wonderful setting for my little boy. He settled quickly at the nursery as a baby and I felt comfortable leaving him with the team. I joined this nursery in 2014 when my eldest joined and I found all the staff amazing and so helpful and they have gone out of their way to accommodate our needs.
Currently, my youngest who is in her final year has great care workers with great managers too and I would definitely recommend this nursery.

The nursery team are brilliant. It's been a difficult time for everyone 2020/2021 but throughout the nursery have worked hard to keep things as normal as they can for the children. I have two boys who attend the nursery, one in the baby room and another in toddlers, I feel both my children's needs are
met and that I am kept in the loop with progress and I know that I can always speak to someone about how my boys are doing. They also go above and beyond and are just a fantastic bunch.

We're so happy we sent our boys to the nursery we've been really impressed by the whole team who welcomed and cared so well for our children. The nursery is managed well, responses to all queries are dealt with promptly and professionally. The programme of learning they have for the different age groups
is excellent and varied. Our oldest boy was really anxious when he started, but the staff were amazing at helping him settle. they provide a calm, secure environment for the children to settle in.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have over ten years of childcare experience and am thrilled to now be leading and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding practice here at the Science Park. I spent six years of my career studying, starting with a foundation degree in childhood studies and then progressing onto a BA Hons in the early years.


The majority of my career has been working with children aged 3 - 5 years which is where my love for letters and sounds began! Letters and sounds have been a passion of mine since my first position as a preschool practitioner, as they naturally encourage 'school readiness. Throughout my career, I have supported many children with additional needs; another passion that was sparked early on in my career. I have been fortunate enough to be SENCO in a previous setting, which enabled me to enhance my practice further. I work closely with our nursery SENCO to ensure we are meeting the needs of all children within our care.


I am driven to provide a fun, safe and stimulating environment for all children who attend our setting and work closely with the team to ensure the children we care for have fun, exciting experiences. I have been working in childcare since I gained my level 3 qualification in Childhood Studies in 2001. Over that time I have worked in most roles within the nursery setting from cover staff to room leader.


I started here at Chilworth in 2019 as Deputy Manager and have shared the vision of the nursery to deliver high-quality experiences for the children.


I have experience working with children of all ages and am passionate about supporting children with their development in all areas. I strive to support the staff team in creating awe and wonder in all rooms throughout the nursery, there is nothing more rewarding to me than hearing and seeing the children explore and learn beyond their own imagination.
