Banana Moon Day Nursery Mere Green

My daughter has just left the nursery to go to school. She still talks about the staff and says about how much she misses them. This says it all! Fantastic nursery. Only good things to say and highly recommend it. The staff are excellent, so caring, friendly and fun. Lovely food as well!

My son loves his nursery and has so much fun, as we see from the updates on the diary. He's now becoming a lot more confident around people and more out of his shell! The staff have always been really nice with us as parents and with my son.

We are really happy with the provision of care for our daughter and our son at Banana Moon Mere Green. They always come out beaming after fun-filled and varied days and we are happy that the menu offers them balanced and nutritious food. We are particularly encouraged by conversations we have with staff about our children: staff demonstrate a strong understanding of their characters which demonstrates the level of individual care and attention achieved. Whatever the additional needs presented by our children (e.g. teething phases/selective eating phases) the staff go out of their way to accommodate them and make them comfortable and they keep us well informed.

The nursery has coped tremendously well responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and I have never felt that my child's health has ever been at risk, such is the great care they take. Even though I don't work in the Mere Green area anymore, I would never wish to send her anywhere else.

The management team are happy and friendly and always resolve any queries quickly. Thank you.

Our son has only been at the nursery since September but he has settled in so well thanks for the amazing staff. Shout out to the member of staff for making him feel safe from the first moment she brought him the dinosaur at his settle. The garden is a little small but they’ve made good use of it and our son always has happy stories to tell from being outside. All staff are more than happy to engage at the door (the best they can during these circumstances!) and are knowledgable and encourage consistency through home life to nursery. Staff are supportive and friendly. The app updates are great and done almost in real-time. I would definitely recommend this nursery!

Two of my children attend the nursery and they are very happy there. All the staff are fantastic and very welcoming at the door every morning. Communication is brilliant and they are always on hand to answer any questions.

I have 3 children who have each attended different nurseries in their time growing up, and I can honestly say Banana Moon, Mere Green is by far my favourite. The staff are so lovely and friendly, and I feel completely at ease leaving my daughter there. My daughter loves it, and settled in so quickly, which I think speaks volumes about the setting! I recommend this nursery to anyone who wants to send their child to a warm and welcoming nursery as it’s made life so much easier knowing my daughter is safe, well cared for and has such a good time whilst there. Thanks to all the staff, especially keeping everything safe and keeping the parents informed during what has been a really unusual and difficult year.

Since lockdown and all classes were cancelled, my husband and I decided our daughter needed to mix with children her own age and required more stimulation that we could offer her so we decided to send her to nursery! Initially, one afternoon a week which we increased in January 2021. She wasn’t sure to begin with and took her a few sessions to settle and now she absolutely loves going, she loves the staff and has made friends. We love receiving her diary updates and seeing what she is doing and we are amazed at the activities she gets up to. When she gets home she is so happy and full of beans and extremely happy. The best decision we made and worth every penny to know she is in such great hands. I have recommended the nursery to a friend and I believe their daughter starts on a Thursday soon. Thank you to all of the staff.

I’ve been incredibly happy with Banana Moon Day Nursery Mere Green. Both my children attend 4 days a week and I know they really love their time there. The staff are brilliant, really care for them both and put so much effort in to help them develop. The variety of activities and food is great too. The app is a huge differentiator with other nurseries; being able to see what they are both doing through the day and getting regular progress updates really puts me at ease through the day and every photo makes me smile! I couldn’t ask for more!

Absolutely faultless nursery. My son has additional needs, and Banana Moon has gone above and beyond to ensure all my son's needs are met. He has developed so well during his time here! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. It makes me feel at ease leaving my son here, knowing he is in the care of these amazing people! The nursery is very well set out, and the different rooms for different ages are perfectly equipped to keep children entertained. The food menu has been very well thought out and has lots of different variety. All in all, I can not fault Banana Moon at all, my son feels so comfortable here, and he doesn’t want to come home!

My child (1 and a half) has been attending 5 days per week for 6 weeks in the Baby Room and he loves it. As he was home with us during lockdown March until August, and with a childminder solo during the day for 6 months prior, we were apprehensive how he would take to a group setting but he is thriving. He loves all the different activities (some days they have three activities before 10am - amazing!) and we love being kept updated daily through the app with pictures, milestones and little stories about things he has done. The staff all genuinely seem thrilled to be there, and the children feed off the positive energy. They are doing a fantastic job in challenging times. The outdoor space is small, but meets the children's needs. My only feedback would be that it would be helpful to see pictures of the food the children are fed or be advised the ingredients so that parents can know what new vegetables/ingredients are being consumed/liked/disliked etc. 'Veggie stirfry' is a bit broad.

My daughter is always involved in lots of different fun activities at nursery and brings home lots of lovely work that she has done. She enjoys all the extra activities that the nursery provides for the children, like music classes and outdoor learning. The staff are really kind to all the children and I feel happy leaving her at nursery, knowing that if she’s upset for any reason there is always someone who will look after her and give her a cuddle if she needs it.
