Puddleducks Children's Day Nursery Sheriff Hutton

From the initial meet and greet we got an excellent impression, all the staff spoke to us, and to our son. We were very impressed with the cleanliness in the baby room and the importance of education, linking the child’s experience at nursery to home via diaries, recipes and taking into account any holidays/trips. The visit to meet and play at our house prior to our son starting gave him extra confidence with his key worker, which has continued to build. He is always pleased to see her, but we also know he is cared for by the rest of the baby team. My husband is delighted that he gets a coffee and cereal bar at drop off too! Would recommend anyone considering a nursery in the area give Puddleducks a look.

My oldest child started when he was only 9 months old, I was very worried about my son going to nursery, but all the girls made him feel so welcome and reassured me he would be fine! Well, 2 years later he is now in the toddler room and thriving. My daughter also goes to Puddleducks too. And she is also doing amazing! I couldn’t wish for a better nursery or better staff. They have all been so amazing to my children and family. I would highly recommend Puddleducks to any parents looking for their child’s first education. 5 star.

I cannot recommend Puddleducks enough as the best nursery in York. My child is in almost full-time and has been since she was 9 months old. When I drop her off every day it's like leaving her with family. She has grown into the most confident, well-rounded, curious and happy little girl in their care. The activities are so broad and she loves taking advantage of the curiosity approach which we continue at home. They are actively involved in village life going for walks in the countryside, playing in the park or using the mobile library. I love Puddleducks and I wouldn't consider her going anywhere else.

Our daughter started at Puddleducks just after she turned 1 and she has come on so much over the last 6 months. The staff at Puddleducks were brilliant when our daughter was settling in and completely understood how you felt as a parent having a child starting nursery for the first time. We love hearing about all the activities our daughter gets to do each day and about the skills she is learning. The food is always an absolute hit with our daughter too! They also had no issues catering for her dairy-free diet which was a huge relief. If you are looking for a nursery for your child then we would definitely recommend Puddleducks!

Puddleducks have been incredible! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our little boy has come on so much in such a short space of time. Initially, he was reluctant to be left but the staff were incredibly patient and caring and now he gets so excited when we go into nursery and barely notices when I leave. Communication is excellent, the food the children are fed is incredible. (The menus are sent in advance and often inspire our own meals at home!). Puddleducks have really impressed myself and my husband. I cannot speak highly enough of this nursery and have recommended it to my sister for her little girl.

My daughter has been going to Puddleducks for the past two years. I can safely say that it is the best childcare provider in our area. The staff are very friendly and are more than happy to go the extra mile. I can’t recommend Puddleducks enough to other parents.

Puddleducks is a home away from home for my son. The staff are wonderful, approachable, and treat each child as an individual. My son has allergies and sensitivities and the nursery constantly works with us to make sure all his needs are looked after. Highly recommend Puddleducks to any one of my colleagues moving to York.

Puddleducks Children's Nursery is outstanding. My daughter has been there for almost a year now. Ever since day one everyone at the nursery has made us feel comfortable which is extremely important at what can be a daunting time. My daughter loves going there. I love the ethos of the nursery, when looking around it really stood out. Every staff member has been so accommodating and are always happy to help. I love that they have a great range of healthy foods as well. We have regular meetings with our keyworker who will give us updates and allows us to ask any questions we may have. They update us every week with a newsletter so we are always informed on what is going on. I look forward to my daughter trying out all the different rooms. I wouldn't send her anywhere else!

My daughter has loved her time at Puddleducks Children's Nursery Sheriff Hutton. She has been able to experience a range of creative, exciting and fun activities. She has enjoyed the trips she has been on - these have allowed her to experience new things. The staff have been supportive and encouraging which has allowed her to develop her confidence. She has made some great friends and we will all really miss it!

Puddleducks Nursery has been a wonderfully nurturing, happy place for my daughter over the years. The staff, facilities, activities and food have all been amazing and my daughter will be sad to leave when she goes to school in September. I can't recommend Puddleducks Nursery high enough and wouldn't consider anywhere else!

It's a phenomenal nursery!

Our son has been at Puddleducks Children's Nursery for the last year in the pre school room. During his time at Puddleducks, he has really blossomed. Our son has a physical disability and choosing a nursery was a difficult decision for us, as a family. The owner and her team have been amazing though and the support our family have received has been incredible. Not only are all the staff friendly, passionate and fun, they are like one big family and know all the children by name. It really is a home-from-home nursery and the owner has worked so hard to make sure all children feel welcome and secure in the nursery environment, something that is so important to families. Our son's key worker has been amazing at helping our son to reach his potential and has become like a member of our family, really caring for all aspects of our son's day-to-day care but also supporting us, as parents. We will really miss Puddleducks when our son starts school in September and would highly recommend Puddleducks. They are fantastic.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice. And when we’re not we air our views and feel we are listened to and action is taken. Ideal.

Puddleducks Children's Nursery is an exceptional nursery - they have taken excellent care of both of my little ones over the last 6+ years. All of the staff are really lovely and care so much about early years, not just in terms of looking after the babies, toddlers and preschoolers at the nursery, but also working to develop the children's skills and sense of selves. They work really hard to make each child feel special and make sure that everyone has a wonderful time whilst at Puddleducks - they have wonderful facilities and plan all sorts of fun activities as well as providing delicious food. They also provide the kids with opportunities outside of the nursery including going on walks, visiting playgrounds and engaging with the local community (the preschoolers, for example, have been visiting a local care home and have also been to the library). It really is such a special place and I am really going to miss it now that my youngest is off to school!

Puddleducks Children's Nursery has consistently provided a caring and stimulating environment for my children since 2020. The management has excellent communication channels with parents, giving clear updates well in advance and you can tell every detail is thought about. The menu is excellent, and my son’s dietary requirements were carefully met without question. I have never doubted our decision to send our children here and would recommend this nursery to anyone.

I honestly could not recommend Puddleducks highly enough. To see your child so utterly content and thrive in a setting such as this has been an utter joy for us to watch. The love and care that staff have for the children has no bounds and we’re so grateful for all they have done for our child.

Our daughter absolutely loves Puddleducks Children's Nursery. The staff that work there are so welcoming and friendly. My daughter runs to her key worker, all smiles and ready for a fun packed day. I highly recommend and would have no doubt to send our new addition when she arrives in the future. The facilities are fantastic and the menu for the children is very varied and there is something for everyone. A very well run business that always has the children's best interests first. Puddleducks Children's Nursery is an amazing nursery. As a first time mum and in such uncertain times, it was really difficult to go back to work and leave my boys but this nursery has been a constant, secure, happy and safe place that my boys absolutely love, which gives me peace of mind and comfort. The facilities, space, regular updates, focus on children’s development, sustainability and curiosity approach is an added bonus to the main thing I love about this nursery, the people. They are amazing, you can see how much they love and care for the children, which is all you could ever want. I tell everyone how good this nursery is, even those without children!
