Puddleducks Children's Day Nursery Sheriff Hutton

Puddleducks Nursery at Sheriff Hutton is a fantastic nursery. My boys love it and learn so much and are progressing so much. The staff are fantastic and helpful, amazing with the children. I am very pleased I chose this nursery.

I have not had one bad experience in the 8 years I have been attached to Puddleducks. I cannot thank the full team enough.

Outstanding nursery. My children have attended 5 different nurseries in total, all of which have been very good in their different ways, but only Puddleducks seems to get everything right. My two children there look forward to every day, and come home very happy. They walk into their classrooms confidently, eager to see their friends and teachers. The staff are very friendly and available. It's all very well organised. I would highly recommend Puddleducks to anybody.

We feel so lucky to have our little girl at Puddleducks's. She has blossomed with confidence since joining the Puddleducks family. She is always learning new skills here and we can't wait to hear all about the fun activities she has been up to when we pick her up. They are a wonderful team that is always so helpful and kind thank you.

We really couldn't recommend Puddleducks Children's Nursery enough, our daughter started 7 months ago and it really is like a home from home and she happily waves me off every time she goes. The comfort it gives us as her parents, knowing how happy and well cared for she is wonderful - when you first send your child to nursery it certainly doesn't come without some worries but all of these were instantly put at ease. Every single member of the whole team is an absolute credit to them. One of the best decisions we've made is sending our daughter here, thank you to the team.

I have two children who attend Puddleducks Children's Nursery at Sheriff Hutton and have been using the nursery for the past two years. Owing to the ages of my children, I have had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with all three of the age group rooms and have been confident in the knowledge that my children are happy, cared for and supported by all of the staff, including the office staff also, who take the time to know and understand each of the children in their building. The food provided at mealtimes is diverse and healthy, and the end of day briefings are both informative and reassuring. Each group of room staff ensures the children are occupied and encouraged to explore and learn on their own terms, with differing activities and themes. The implementation of a 'key person' for each child as a point of contact is really great, as this helps to really build a bond between the child and the staff member, and this continuity gives peace of mind to the parent.

My child has attended Puddleducks Children's Nursery for 2 years and I am beyond thrilled with how caring, kind and supportive every single staff member is. My child's development and learning is supported and encouraged. The staff have been extremely supportive throughout difficult periods of our lives. My child has some wonderful friendships and talks so highly of the staff who provide care. Puddleducks staff act in a way that creates a genuine sense of belonging and it is apparent they have the best interest of all children and parents in the forefront of their mind. I wholeheartedly know my child and I will hold the staff members fondly in our hearts for many years to come.

We've been at Puddleducks for over 6 years and I can't believe this is our last week! I've been so impressed with the dedication, support and love shown by all the staff. People throw around the phrase 'the best start in life' but it really does apply to Puddleducks. It isn't just childcare, it's setting children up to be kind and loving and to achieve all they can as move on to school. My younger son is autistic and has very limited speech, but staff have been so supportive of him, using his challenges as a way to teach others about diversity. I've never once felt that he's been a problem; instead they've invested in his development just as much as us. Their work getting his EHCP before school has been invaluable. It's not just about the children; Puddleducks have been amazing at supporting us as parents too. Several times I've cried on their shoulders. I don't know another nursery who provide a breakfast bar for parents because they understand what mornings can be like with kids!

Our little boy recently joined this nursery and from the moment we first visited, through to his settling-in sessions and early days there we have been so impressed with the warmth, kindness, care and attention. There are always smiles at drop-off and collection and we are so pleased with how quickly he seems to have settled in. We believe this is largely a tribute to the fact that the day-to-day routine and layout is so well thought out and that everyone genuinely seems to care. Thank you team Puddleducks!

Our daughter started at Puddleducks Nursery at the end of January 2024 and from the initial home visit and settling-in sessions, we instantly felt welcomed by the whole team. Our daughter’s key person took the time to get to know her and our family which was very important to us. The nursery has a warm and homely feel as soon as you walk in. The environments are beautiful and inviting for the children across the whole nursery. From the delicious food the nursery offers to the variety of activities, we knew our daughter would be cared for at the highest standard. The management team are also friendly and welcoming which makes you feel at ease. The management team also value parents' voices as they listen to your feedback. The nursery also has wonderful outdoor spaces for the children to access. We highly recommend Puddleducks Nursery to other families.

My son moved to Puddleducks Nursery just before his second birthday and he absolutely loves it! Every time we pull up in the car outside he gets so excited when he sees the nursery! The staff are all so friendly and caring, and give really good feedback after each day. My little one is a very fussy eater at home, but eats everything made for him at nursery, and runs straight to the table on a morning for breakfast without even looking back to say bye. I am certain that I could not have chosen a better nursery for my son and would recommend it to anyone who wants their child to be nurtured in a natural homely environment, to help them grow to be caring, inquisitive and creative individuals.

Puddleducks is a fantastic nursery and I wouldn’t want to send our child anywhere else! The staff are kind and welcoming, and always take the time to communicate with us about our child’s progress and development on a daily basis. We were particularly impressed with the settling-in period, where we received excellent support and reassurance. There are always different activities going on, and it really is a space for children to thrive.

Our child started at Puddleducks in April. We were nervous to send her to a setting because she'd only ever been in our care. However, we discovered quickly that there was no need for our concern. Our child settled quickly and confidently into the baby room at Puddleducks. She has made many personal and loving relationships with members of the staff, whom she bonds with on a daily basis. She now walks into the nursery with pride and belonging. We have noticed a big difference in her confidence at home, she is communicating more, socialising with others and she is always keen to explore and try her best, she is not afraid to make mistakes. Puddleducks is a wonderful Nursery. The staff work closely with us as parents, always keen to know her interests at home, so that our child can develop emotionally, socially and academically whilst at the Nursery.
