Established by parents with nursery-aged children, Little Cubs Academy is a safe, caring, loving and diverse community that comes together around the children in their care.

Teachers are skilled Early Years Educators who are informed by years of education and experience, and who are guided by their genuine love of their work.

The outdoors is very much viewed as an extension of the classroom for all ages, with respect and love of nature playing a key part in the curriculum. Forest school takes place at the local nature reserve as part of the weekly timetable of activities for all children aged 3 to 5.

The team believe that all children are capable and competent learners, have unique learning styles and learn at their own pace. Children learn best when they are involved in meaningful, purposeful activities that allow them to safely interact with their environment.

At Little Cubs Academy, their goals are to create an environment where children are valued for their individual strengths and gifts, and where growth and learning are interconnected. They are very conscious that they are always learning, and they value each moment of every day.

The nursery and preschool is open to children aged 3 months to 5 years and open 51 weeks throughout the year.

I've been very happy with Little Cubs. The staff are great and really engage with the children. It's clear that the staff take a personal interest in the children, and each child gets attention and affection. It's a huge relief to be able to trust a nursery to take care of your children. The premises
are clean and organised, there are lots of activities organised, and great meals as well. I fully recommend them if you're considering nursery!

Nicole Bowman is the Head Teacher at our Forest Hill nursery and preschool. Nicole is very much part of the local community, having lived in the area for many years.
