Kids 1st Low Fell is a purpose-built nursery catering from children aged from birth to five-years-old.

The nursery is split into rooms that are age dependent and take into consideration the child's level of development. Every room has access directly onto large challenging gardens, specially designed for its user group.

Children at Kids 1st Low Fell are given the opportunity to enjoy modern language and music and movement lessons and are also taken out on trips during the year.

The nursery likes to involve parents and holds regular social evenings where parents can meet with their child’s ‘key person’.

Kids 1st Low Fell achieved an 'Outstanding' Ofsted report in Janurary 2020.

The nursery is very welcoming and well presented. All of the staff are lovely and always go the extra mile for me and my child. There is a lot of effective communication and I always get a handover at the end of the day to have a chance to speak to my child's keyworker. There is a lot of toys that the
children can interact with and a fab range of resources.

Kids 1st Low Fell was so welcoming during my little boy's visit and very reassuring. My little boy was a little unsettled for a few weeks, however, I knew he was in very good hands, as the girls were so good with him. He now comes to nursery with the biggest smile on his face.

Superb nursery. Had our girl there since age 1 and have been thoroughly impressed with the standards through her transition through rooms. Recently extremely impressed with their ability to adjust and adapt to the needs of our child, as their additional needs have become more apparent the older she
has gotten.
Highly recommend this nursery to anyone who is fortunate enough to get a place, only due to the high level of demand!

I absolutely love Kids 1st and so does my little girl. My daughter has been at Low Fell since she was 9 months old. She is now almost 2 and has gone through 3 of the 7 rooms, each one as fabulous as the one before. All the staff are amazing and clearly know the children they look after inside out. The
nursery works on a key person system and each one of my daughter's key people have been amazing! They give brilliant handovers at the end of the day and always keep us parents up to date with progress and things which are going on in nursery, nothing is too much trouble!
The meals are great and menus are available to take away so that you can plan family meals around what your little one has eaten that day.
If you are looking for a nursery for your little one try kids 1st low fell, you won’t be disappointed.

Our daughter has been attending Kids 1st for 18 months and we have been extremely happy with the care she has received. The staff are all lovely and I know my daughter is in the safest possible hands. The facilities are excellent and the activities fun and varied with lots of outdoor play. Would highly

Kids 1st is an excellent nursery. The environment is very calming, friendly and welcoming.
The staff are very hard working, very attentive and always in great spirits.
My daughter has fitted in very well and is very happy.

Kids 1st Low Fell is fantastic and I would highly recommend. The staff are always caring and have the best interests of my son at heart.
My son has so much fun doing all of the activities. The food is great and the menu very varied.
Recently, the staff have been so accommodating fitting in extra care
when my mother had an accident and was unable to undertake regular childcare for us - nothing is ever too much trouble at Kids 1st Low Feel.

The staff at this nursery have been nothing but supportive as my little girl has progressed from the baby rooms to the pre school rooms. She has loved every room and formed food relationships with the staff. Her little brother is going to start in the baby rooms soon and I'm positive he will enjoy it

Amy Hedley-Trott

Job Title: Centre Director Joined: 2012

Hello, my name is Amy and I am the Centre Director at Kids 1st Low Fell.


Directly after completing my A-Levels, I went on to University to study Early Childhood Studies and Curriculum. In 2006 I embarked on my career with Kids 1st as a Nursery Assistant. Over the years I progressed in my career and achieved my Early Years Professional status award in 2008 which I am very proud of. I have worked in several Kids 1st centres during my journey and I am thrilled to be a centre director at Low Fell. I have been a centre director at Low Fell since the nursery opened in 2012 and I am immensely proud of the success the nursery has had since my appointment to the role. I hope to continue to progress within the company and strive for excellence in everything I do.
