A lovely nursery with great facilities and caring staff. My daughter is super happy and well looked after. The nursery provides nutritious and tasty meals each day. They have an outdoor garden and also take babies on little trips. I am always kept informed via an app about my daughters daily activities.

Excellent nursery. Our son loves going. Staff are attentive and caring. The recent renovations on the building have made it really good and we look forward to the garden room being done soon. Thanks, Dicky Birds Nursery and staff!

Amazing, fun and loving staff. It really does feel like a family. Our daughter loves to go to nursery and clearly has a great day when she’s there. It’s obvious the Manager and all the staff care about making it a great nursery.

Very bad experience with the management.
Three of the staff were lovely, but because of poor management, we decided to cancel our contract.
Some of the reasons: a lack of being transparent on diseases going on, sometimes I heard from other parents that there is a bug outbreak before this was communicated
by management.
Invoicing was a complete mess, we got several incorrect invoices with higher amounts.
The logging of activities was fake! A few times I would see What my son “ate” at the time he was not at the nursery, totally lost trust in reports.
Lack of care, my son was handed over a few times with a big poo.
There was a price increase two times within a few months which is very annoying. When we cancelled the contract I was told that we still have to pay a higher amount as the nursery needs 4 weeks' notice to inform of the price changes and parents need 8 weeks' notice to break the contract. So you are forced to pay whatever increase and the nursery is legally covered.

We couldn't be happier with our experience so far at Dicky Birds, Pelham Road. Our son joined in December 2021 and settled incredibly easily - he is so happy there and loves not only all the other children in his class but also all the staff. It's clear that they do a remarkable job. Thank you!

We are really happy with how much our son has developed under the professional care of all the staff at Pelham Road Dicky Birds Day Nursery.
All the staff are so friendly and highly skilled, giving us daily feedback on how he is getting on.
The range of activities our son gets is fantastic. The nurseries
app is updated regularly which is a great way for us as parents to see what our children have been up to in the classroom.
We are so pleased our son is so happy and enjoys going there.

Dicky Birds are fantastic, my little one has been going there since she was 11-months-old and is now 2. Everyday she goes in with a smile on her face and sometimes doesn’t want to leave! They’re always going on outings, exploring different ways of working and caring for her in a loving way.

The staff are lovely and work very hard. They have really good relationships with the children. The range of activities can be limited and repetitive. It would be really good for the children to go on more outings and to a wider variety of places.

Both my daughters love the nursery - the staff are warm, friendly and very engaged with the children. The activities they do are varied and stimulating, promoting confidence and outgoing nature for the children. My husband and I are really happy with how happy and settled our girls are here. Keep up
the great work!

My son has been attending this nursery since September 2021 when he was 10 months old, from the first day he started I was made to feel so comfortable knowing he’s in good hands. All the girls/manager working in the nursery are lovely and caring and I couldn’t wish for a better group of girls to look
after my baby. I will genuinely be so upset when it's his time to move on. They form such good bonds with the children and it’s lovely to see how much fun they have every day on the updated app. The breakfast, dinners and teas they have are from a wide variety of meals, and on more than one occasion my son has had two sets of dinners because he’s so hungry. The nursery is always immaculately clean with lots of different spaces including a lovely big garden for outside play time. Could not fault this nursery in any way.

My little one is currently with Dicky Birds, at Wimbledon, Pelham road, and I have peace of mind about that! He has been going to that nursery for over a year and we are very pleased with how they take care of him. The nursery staff are excellent, they take utmost care of every little detail, they take
every concern posed by the parent seriously and will circle back until there is a proper resolution. The staff are sensitive to the child's and parent's needs and are also very well taken care of themselves (happy teachers, happy children!). They also try and accommodate individual requests where feasible, for example when my little one had rashes, the request was to moisturize his skin after every nappy change, and they did just that. Children are sensitive to the energies and vibes around them, and my little one is always greeted with a lot of love, so there is now a genuine interest to go to the nursery from his side.

Great nursery, daughter loves all the activities, kids and staff. She gets to learn to paint and visit the local park which is a great perk.
Would recommend it to anyone moving into the area or first child in the nursery.
Thank you Dicky Birds.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.503)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.503) out of 10 for Dicky Birds Day Nursery and Preschool Wimbledon, Pelham Road is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.738 for Dicky Birds Day Nursery and Preschool Wimbledon, Pelham Road is calculated as follows: ( (85 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 107 Ratings = 4.738
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.765 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Dicky Birds Day Nursery and Preschool Wimbledon, Pelham Road is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 52 number of registered child places is 10.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.4 = 0.865
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
