New Foundations Day Nursery (Bexleyheath) has been in operation for over 20 years, first opening its doors in 2003, it is located in a converted Victorian house which has been renovated to meet the needs of caring for young children.

Why choose New Foundations?
- The nursery is small, friendly and goes above and beyond to provide a personal touch. A smaller nursery than most with only 29 children per day, they can cater to every family’s individual needs and create strong, lasting relationships.
- Outside providers are spread across the week so lots of children can benefit from these extra curricular activities. These include Kinder Garden, Phonic Stars, Tiny Tekkers, Mini Wave and Sing and Sign.
- The home from home environment has a higher number of staff than required in order to cater for all individual needs and provide an extra nurturing and caring experience for all children.
- They put a large emphasis on books and stories, with each room focusing on ‘a book of the week’ to encourage children to have a love of books, opening up their imagination and introducing a wide range of vocabulary. There are multiple studies describing the vast benefits of reading stories to children which enhance communication, language and holistic development.
- There is a large outdoor area for children to play and explore.

The nursery provides children with a welcoming and friendly home-from-home environment and has a team of highly qualified and enthusiastic staff who have a genuine interest in supporting children to learn and achieve.

I would highly recommend this place for day care. Its got a homely feel and is very professionally run. The staff are amazing with kids, and always happy to help us. Has really good facilities, especially the outside space.

All 3 of my children have attended this nursery, with our youngest still there. Our children have always waved us off with a smile and love going to nursery. The staff are warm and welcoming and do everything they can to make the babies settle into a happy environment. I find all the staff very accommodating
and nothing is too much trouble. We've watched our sons start as babies and leave ready to tackle big school!

I have sent both of my children to New Foundations Day Nursery. I have always been incredibly impressed by the care they have received there. The staff are attentive, caring and always convey lots of information to me about the day's events at pick-up time. The nursery provides wonderful toys and planned
activities to encourage learning and development, and I love how they use the outside space for outdoor play and learning at every opportunity. My children have always been excited to come to the nursery!

My little boy loves coming here and never wants to come home when I collect him. He has come on leaps and bounds since starting a year ago, learning and interacting with the other children and listening to all the lovely ladies that work there. They go above and beyond with the activities keeping the
children fully engaged and entertained. We are kept well informed of what is going on or any changes that are happening and they always have an open door policy if you want to have a chat.


I would definitely recommend it here.

My daughter absolutely loves NFDN. She has learned a lot over two years but most of all, she has been happy there. The staff team is amazing: friendly, caring and professional. I strongly recommend the nursery.

This nursery is doing a great job. We send our daughter there 4 days a week. Every day we get to hear about all the wonderfully creative things that they have been doing with her. The staff are very informative and always take on board specific things whenever we have had to ask. Our daughter has really
settled in well there and she loves going to nursery in the mornings. She always eats the food they prepare for her, and I can see it's healthy from their menu.

Every staff member is lovely and it's clear to see are very passionate about their work, they make sure they have a bond with each child and genuinely show interest and care about them. Staff always keep us up to date and call straight away if there is any news to be told concerning our child. The activities/food
are always varied and engaging - the amount my child has developed since being at the nursery is amazing. As a father with their first child, I was very nervous about leaving my child for whole day(s) with a nursery - but they settled in straight away and enjoy every minute they are there. Couldn't recommend enough.

My daughter started (Bexleyheath branch) when she was one, and attended only one-afternoon session per week. She was settled in well with the caring and love from all staffs.


Since this nursery is very popular with limited spaces available, we had to send my daughter to another Ofsted outstanding

nursery in the area. Luckily, we can now have three full days with this nursery and I am happy to transfer my daughter from the other nursery because I find her much happier here.

My kids have never said NO to go to the nursery in the morning. Four years with them now, I trust them more than me that they will do their best to keep the kids happy!!!!

My son who is now 7 went to New Foundations Day Nursery (Bexleyheath) and my daughter currently attends. I have nothing but praise for this nursery. The staff are lovely and the nursery itself feels very homely indeed. Throughout the day, the children do age appropriate fun activities and I always
have good feedback as to what has gone on throughout the day. Food wise, the menu is varied to help introduce children to different tastes. My child is always happy to attend nursery which of course makes for a happy parent. I will be sad to leave New Foundations Day Nursery (Bexleyheath) this year as my child looks forward to school in September however content that she has had many happy times in her early years setting. WE WILL MISS YOU New Foundations Day Nursery (Bexleyheath)!! XXX

We adore the New Foundation Day Nursery. My son has developed so much in this family orientated environment. There is not a dummy insight and just very happy excitable children. I have recommended this lovely nursery to all my friends!

Both of my children have attended New Foundations Day Nursery and I couldn't recommend them enough. The best Nursery in Bexleyheath :-) my children have always gone to nursery with a smile on their face and it feels me with confidence when I leave them with such amazing staff.

Great atmosphere all around. My kid is learning so much and looks so happy every time. Staff are very nice, very professional and at the same time like family.
They have convenient parking with great open spaces and a playground.

Since my son started a few months back, he has come a long way in everything he does. The staff are so nice and friendly which is a great comfort to know when you are leaving your children and to know they will be looked after. My son loves all the staff and enjoys going to New Foundations Day Nursery

My son loves going to this nursery. The staff are always really friendly and caring which helped him to settle in quickly. Room sizes are small so children get lots of attention and the atmosphere is always calm. Really pleased we decided to use NFDN Bexleyheath.

This is a fantastic nursery. My daughter absolutely loves attending and is always happy when I pick her up at the end of the day. The staff are amazing and super friendly and the nursery has a lovely homely feel to it. I cannot recommend it enough!

My daughter was very unsettled in the first week or so, as expected with a new routine, however, the staff put me at ease and now she loves it. All the staff are excellent and made me feel confident going back to work knowing she is going to be well looked after and have a fun day in a smaller family
type environment.
I'm told she barely leaves any food so it must be good!

Becky has worked for the company since the first day it opened its doors! Becky started out as an Apprentice and has worked in all the different roles in the business. Becky now works across both the nurseries overseeing the Management teams, monitoring quality and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Sarah Pinedo

Job Title: Nursery Manager - Job share Joined: 2004

Sarah has worked for the company for over 18 years, starting as an Apprentice and working her way up. Sarah worked as the Deputy Manager at this nursery for 3 years before starting her role as Nursery Manager over 4 years ago. Sarah has a wealth of knowledge to bring, Sarah is the organised one and ensures every job gets done thoroughly and to a high standard.
Sarah's 2 sons came to the nursery before starting school so she knows just what it is like to be a parent trusting others with your precious children.

Charlotte

Charlotte Butler

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2020

Charlotte started at New Foundations in 2011 and completed her Apprenticeship with us to gain her qualifications, she worked here until 2016 and rejoined us in 2020. She has worked in all rooms and has a great knowledge of child development across all ages.


Charlotte is a fantastic Deputy Manager, she shares the core values and ethos of the nursery and is passionate about providing high-quality care to all of our families. She brings fun, laughter and joy to all at our nursery.
Both of Charlottes children have attended the nursery and 1 still does so she sees the nursery from a parents perspective as well as staff.

Lucinda

Lucinda Caesar

Job Title: Deputy Manager and SENCO Joined: 2024

Lucinda started at New Foundations in 2015 and worked at our previous nursery in Sidcup, until it closed in 2018. She returned to our team in 2024, after gaining experience in schools and working with children with Special Educational Needs.


Lucinda has made a big impact already on the children with SEN and in the education delivered within the nursery. She is passionate about child development and reflects this in her practice.
