Miki has worked within early years for more than 25 years, both as a practitioner and in nursery management. Throughout her career, she has remained passionate about creating environments where children feel safe, understood and supported to become confident, capable learners.

She holds Level 5 and diploma qualifications across child development, child psychology and behaviour management. She has a particular interest in autism, emotional wellbeing and understanding the individual needs behind a child’s behaviour.

She said: "I firmly believe that every child (and every member of staff) has the potential to thrive when they are listened to, valued and given the right individual support. As Nursery Manager, I am proud to lead a caring team who take the time to get to know each child and work closely with families to help them reach their full potential."

Laura has been part of the Bright Kids team since the nursery joined the group and has worked in early years for 11 years. She holds a BA Honours degree in Early Childhood Education Studies and is passionate about continuing to learn and develop throughout her career.

She has worked with children across all nursery age groups, from babies as young as three months through to preschool. During that time, she progressed from Early Years Practitioner to Room Leader, Senior Practitioner and now Deputy Manager.

More recently, she completed the Management Mastery programme, which has helped Laura further develop her leadership skills and strengthen the way she supports our children, families and team.

She said: "The most rewarding part of working in early years is watching children grow into themselves. I love seeing their confidence develop, discovering what interests and excites them, and watching their individual personalities shine through."
