My daughter has been attending Castle House for almost two years, she absolutely loves it, the teachers are so friendly, helpful and creative. It feels like a big family.
When my daughter comes home she is always so excited to share with us what she has learnt during the day.

My son has attended the nursery since July last year and he has really blossomed since starting. This is for many reasons, they key one being his relationships with the nursery staff. The manager and deputy manager are so warm and welcoming and were super helpful with getting him settled in. His room
staff he adores and refers to them as his friends. The nursery structure he has taken home with him and it’s been really useful for a good stable routine. He always comes home with a big smile and tells me all about the activities he has done. I couldn’t wish for a better environment for him to grow in.

My daughter adores pre-school. She loves all the activities and the lovely warm environment that has been created for the children. She loves the staff, they have all supported my daughter in her learning and confidence. She’s made so much progress and has a real curiosity and sense of fun that is supported
beautifully at Castle House. I am kept very informed about what she is doing at nursery and everyone on the team has been really supportive when I have asked for help. In addition, the team run so many extra activities, parties and celebrations which my daugher has been so excited to go to. Castle House is a lovely place and I am very happy to send my daughter there and would recommend it highly.

This nursery is incredible, my child since starting has learnt so much in such a short space of time. (He has been to 4 nurseries prior and this by far exceeds any other experience). They go above and beyond to get to know your child, their likes and dislikes. Everyone is kind and patient and you can
see the confidence in my child since starting here. The staff make the settling-in process easy and they make sure the child settles in at their pace and feels included and welcome. Very lucky to have found such a wonderful setting which is so secure, with the most wonderful staff.

Overall, Castle House Day Nursery is a very good place for a child to develop and socialise. I feel my daughter is safe there and she loves going to nursery. She bonded well with the staff who are all very friendly and helpful.
Also, very helpful that the nursery has parking, although sometimes it
gets a bit busy.
The schedule of the nursery works perfectly with our work commitments as I can leave her as early as 7.30 am and collect after 5 pm.

My daughter has attended Castle House for the last two years and we love it! Staff are friendly and helpful and always make time to listen to us. My stepdaughter loves her time at Castle House Day Nursery where she gets involved in a range of activities. She has built great friendships and we can enjoy a range of events where parents/carers can join too. She loves the staff and the staff are caring, patient and genuinely care and want to help
her strive. There are too many staff to name individually but every single one, from the management team to the room staff and cook, are definitely in the job for their passion and love of the job.

My granddaughter absolutely loves going to Castle House Day Nursery. When she's not there, at weekends, all we hear from her is, we do this at nursery we play that game at nursery. I know she is being well cared for and they are nurturing her for whatever comes her way. The management team are fantastic

Fantastic nursery and very caring. My son loves going especially the outside equipment. He’s developing really well. When his arm was in a cast, they helped him and wrote out a risk assessment. They have also been helping with the potty training.

Castle House Day Nursery is excellent. The staff are warm, kind and helpful and our daughter is very happy and settled there, I would recommend the nursery to anyone. I feel it will prepare our daughter ideally for school.
My only criticism would be this: are the ‘inset’ days really necessary? I have
two children and this is the third nursery we have used. At the other two, there was no suggestion of inset days, or closing the nursery in the week between Christmas and New Year. I would remind the nursery that they are providing a very expensive service and inset days feel like an unnecessary inconvenience for parents.
This is a minor quibble, though. The nursery is superb and we will all miss it when our daughter goes to school.

My daughter has been attending Castle House Day Nursery since November 2021. She really enjoys her time there and thriving with their fun play and learning activities. The staff are amazing and friendly and I am really grateful for their genuine love and care for my child's wellbeing and development.
I also enjoy the regular updates of what they have been up to on the app. I would definitely recommend the nursery.

My daughter has been at this nursery since the beginning of 2022. She settled in well with all staff completely dedicated to her care. The management has an incredible vision for the nursery and we've seen this coming into action whilst my daughter has been attending. We love how much they involve the
parents. The royal event parties, family bonfire night celebration, and Mother's Day breakfast have been wonderful. As a pandemic parent they have allowed us to meet with the parents of other children my daughter socialises with.

My son has only been going to nursery since January and only one day a week, but the progression he has made is very noticeable, especially in his speech.
All the staff are so friendly, including the management, and they know all of the children’s names; it just feels like there is a real personal

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Hello, my name is Vanessa and I am proud to be the Manager at Castle House. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years and SEND, and I’ve been working in the early years sector since 2018.


I began my journey as an Early Years Assistant and have since gained experience across a large group of nurseries. Most recently, I managed a Pre-School provision at a local school. My passion lies in creating inclusive environments where every child and family feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.


As a mum myself, I understand how important it is to find a setting where your child feels safe, happy, and inspired. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring National Trust locations with my family and spending time crafting.


I am dedicated to supporting each child’s development and ensuring they reach their individual milestones in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
