Castle House Day Nursery has been a home away from home for our little boy. Since the new management has taken over we have seen this nursery go from mediocre/good to excellent in such a short amount of time. I feel like my son is well looked after as the staff are friendly, positive and have the children's best interest at heart. The new pre-school room's leader has a wonderful imagination, where he creates exciting and engaging learning for all. The management are hands-on and often found amongst the children during breakfast time and pick-ups, not because they have to be but because they want to be. There’s a real sense of community since they have taken over. They also have set up a new app so we can see pictures of what the children are doing in the day, as well as being able to track meal times, important dates and notices. My son is happy and looks forward to going to nursery each day and as a parent that’s the most important factor. Couldn’t recommend this nursery enough!

Our son has attended Castle House Day Nursery since he was 9-months-old and he simply loves it. In the holidays when I ask him what he’d like to do, he names the staff and children who go there (I try not to get offended but I’m clearly not as exciting as nursery!). He is very attached to his key worker and she is very affectionate back towards him, so I never hesitate leaving him there with her. The activities the children do are so varied and creative. His speech has developed massively and he’s so sociable and both of these skills have definitely helped by attending nursery. The management are very supportive and always respond to any emails or requests promptly and do their best to accommodate specific needs. There are few nurseries that offer such long day times too; we couldn’t cope without the 7.30 drop off, as we’d be late for work. We are very happy with Castle House and very grateful for the brilliant job they do with our boy.

A fantastic nursery, our daughter has enjoyed nearly three years here, progressing through the rooms. She’s been taken great care of and loves her time here, with plenty of fun and educational activities to keep her busy throughout the day. The new management team are fantastic, taking an interest in all those attending and making plenty of positive changes. Recommended!

My child has been going to Castle House Day Nursery for nearly a year now and started when he was 8-months-old. We have been so happy with his nursery experience so far. The staff are incredibly friendly and caring which helped my child settle quickly. They have a variety of activities which he loves to get stuck into! The new managers have made a huge difference and communicate frequently with parents! We love the app so we can see what our child’s been up to throughout the day. Our child loves going to nursery which is all we ever wanted! Thank you.

Our son has been attending Castle House Day Nursery, previously known as Monkey Puzzle, since he was 1-year-old and is currently at preschool. The staff there are lovely and we like the family atmosphere too. The menu is balanced and varied with hot meals served every day. Communication with the management has been excellent. We also like the fact that there is a parents evening held once a year and we receive detailed, written feedback on our son’s progress. The outdoors facilities are also excellent and a great place for the children to stretch their legs and play. The children are also sometimes sent on little outings to local parks and gardens. We will be sending our baby there too as we have had such a positive experience overall.

Overall Experience
Our eldest daughter attended Monkey Puzzle from the age of 1 to 4, and our youngest is still loving being there at 2. From the first visit when our oldest daughter was 1, we couldn’t be happier with Monkey Puzzle. Leaving my daughter at nursery for her first full day was a big deal and a daunting proposition, however, the love and happy, positive environment the staff create turned the experience from potentially negative to hugely positive for both us and our girls. The girls have enjoyed every moment with all the staff, they have become confident intelligent girls who have learned to share and interact with children and adults alike.

Not going to work wasn’t a realistic option for us, however, it’s clear now that our girls have had a better experience than we could have achieved on our own. Our time together is precious, and we make every moment count as best we can, but it’s clear the girls have benefited from structured play and are all the better young happy people for it.

I am extremely happy with the care the nursery provides for our son. From the moment he started at the nursery, he has been so happy and I always know he is in safe hands. The rapport the staff have with my child is excellent and they clearly know him. They always give excellent feedback each day and the way in which my son has developed over his time there so far is clear to see. I am always impressed with the amount of activities the nursery provides for my son and he now can't wait to go in each time, running to the door! I would have no hesitation in recommending this nursery to other prospective parents.

I would highly recommend Monkey Puzzle to everyone! Both of our girls absolutely loved it. Our eldest has just left to start school and it has given her the greatest foundation and enabled a smooth transition through to school life.
Our youngest started Monkey Puzzle earlier this year and has made some incredible bonds with members of staff. The staff are so friendly and welcoming which means we feel so comfortable leaving our daughter in their capable hands. She is so happy to go in and has such a great time there with the huge range of lovely activities.
The updates on the learning journal are great as it gives you an insight into their day.

Thank you to everyone at Monkey Puzzle, I am forever grateful for everything you have done/do for our girls.

We are so happy with the level of care our son receives at Monkey Puzzle. Every member of staff seems to know him personally and all are very warm and welcoming. Our little boy has developed a really special bond with his key worker. The procedures for reporting to parents are excellent and, though it is normally his dad who collects him and drops him off, I feel like I always know what he’s been up to thanks to the book they send home daily and the online journal system.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

We are happy sending our daughter to the Monkey Puzzle Nursery in Warwick. Our daughter is fast approaching three years old and shows the utmost enthusiasm when attending the nursery. This is as a result of the great, friendly and informative staff who go the extra mile to provide the learning environment and growth we have personally witnessed with our daughter. We feel that the current environment allows our daughter to learn and develop more so than just being at a daycare setup. If the nursery continues to operate as per the previous 18 months, we will be very happy indeed and look forward to sending our second child in distance future.

Lovely nursery, staff are so warm and friendly and make you feel at ease knowing your child is well cared for. Inside is bright and clean with lots of things to do and see, my son is two and they always do lovely activities which we wouldn’t get to do at home like floor painting and great sensory activities. The food always looks lovely with a good variety. Overall I’m really happy I chose Monkey Puzzle for my son.

My son only attends a day a week (previously did two days), and I also sent my daughter here before she moved to a different preschool where we could make better use of the free hours.
We would absolutely recommend the nursery, my son loves his time there and comes out beaming with stories of all the fun he’s had. I don’t think I could ask for much more (apart from inclusive classes run internally by the nursery staff rather than needing to pay on top of nursery fees). This is always an issue of mine as I feel a bit backed into a corner, but that being said I’m pretty sure Wednesday dance class is his favourite time of the day!
The staff are all lovely, we get great feedback and my children have always been happy here. It’s a large nursery, so handy having separate cot room for babies, sensory room plus a soft play room too, nice and open and loads of space. Always seem to be making improvements too which is nice to see.

Thanks Monkey Puzzle.

Vanessa BernardoJob Title:Nursery Manager

Hello, my name is Vanessa, and I am proud to be the Manager at Castle House. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years and SEND, and I’ve been working in the early years sector since 2018.

I began my journey as an Early Years Assistant and have since gained experience across a large group of nurseries. Most recently, I managed a Pre-School provision at a local school. My passion lies in creating inclusive environments where every child and family feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

As a mum myself, I understand how important it is to find a setting where your child feels safe, happy, and inspired. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring National Trust locations with my family and spending time crafting.

I am dedicated to supporting each child’s development and ensuring they reach their individual milestones in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
