Busy Bees West Suffolk Hospital

I cannot recommend Busy Bees Bury St Edmunds enough. My 18-month-old daughter has now been there for 6 months and is thriving. For us, we were anxious as she is hearing impaired and were unsure how nursery would be for her but she has loved it and all the staff have been fantastic. They’ve undertaken specific training to help with her hearing needs and couldn’t have been more accommodating. It’s so lovely knowing she goes off for the day and comes out smiling (with a lot of artwork!) Thank you for all your support, it’s a wonderful environment and we’re very happy to have such a lovely team look after our little girl!

Busy Bees has provided a safe and secure environment for my two little ones for the past two and a half years. They look forward to attending, have forged strong relationships with staff and their peers. They provide innovative learning opportunities and provide daily feedback and access to an app, UP, with lots of ideas to try at home. The food looks fantastic and my children love it. They are happy to share recipes. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other parents.

Busy Bees also utilises a great app to allow for regular communication and live updates of what's been happening in the day including what's been eaten.

Firstly I can only highly recommend this Nursery to all no matter what age your child and starting time you will be made welcome and your child will love it here. My little boy has been coming to Busy Bees since he was a baby and the growth has been tremendous, we were nervous initially about him going to preschool but every day he is the happiest child ever and can’t wait to tell us what he has done and how many friends we have including the staff.

Our daughter is almost 2 1/2 years old and has been going to Busy Bees in Bury St. Edmunds for 7 months now. We have had nothing but great experiences with every staff member. Our daughter loves going there and has learned/developed so much since starting. She always comes home fed and happy. We love that we can see what she has been up to during the day on the parent zone app which is updated regularly. They have made the difficult transition from being in lockdown and isolated to being an outgoing and curious child very easy. We are happy we chose Busy Bees in Bury St. Edmunds.

My son has been at Busy Bees since he turned 1. I always send him with every confidence he will be cared for as well as he would at home. The staff are caring, kind and compassionate. The food is excellent and he always eats so well at nursery. I would recommend the centre to anyone.

Busy Bees Nursery staff have been incredible during the pandemic. We were already very satisfied with the care provided but during the last 6 months my husband and I have been so impressed by how the staff have managed. They have been calm, friendly, and professional throughout. Whilst working on the ward, I was able to feel reassured that our daughter was still in the best care possible. We believe that they continued to provide a consistent and nurturing environment despite the changes that occurred across the country during lockdown. They went above beyond their roles by cooking for the children when catering staff were furloughed and worked tirelessly, always placing the needs of the children first. One of the biggest stressors for staff was working whilst without childcare arrangements and the nursery then looked after their children, who were not previously registered with them. Staff at the hospital will feel forever grateful to them for this. We thank you.

Our eldest started at Busy Bees in 2015 and our youngest is there now. We're very happy with them. They have dealt with the pandemic in a very organised and professional way. We would definitely recommend them.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees since she was 9 months old starting in the baby room and going through to toddlers. She has always enjoyed her time at nursery and as a parent I have always felt comfortable and assured. The staff have always listened and support our every need. The communication between us parents and staff is lovely, we are always updated. My daughter has lovely relationships with the staff and her key person. It’s like a second family to her. My daughter has always especially loved the food at nursery, always healthy and balanced meals. I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with the nursery.

The nursery itself is in a lovely wooded area surrounded by tall trees. It is also very convenient as my husband works at the hospital. They seem to take care of him very well and alert us if they feel he might not be well or needing extra attention.

I have 2 children at Busy Bees and both are very happy there. After a stressful move and going back to work after maternity I was nervous about putting them into a new setting. But I need not worry as the management immediately put me at ease when I visited. The staff support through the first few weeks was fab, leaving my youngest for the first time was hard but they were amazing. They continue to support the children in reaching their milestones and I feel that this has been a huge benefit to them especially getting the eldest ready for school. The nursery is always clean and tidy and the staff always greet me and my children with a smile and are always upbeat and raring to go ( I wish I knew where they get their energy from!) I also highly recommend the food which is always varied and nutritious, we have taken some of the recipes home because my children love them! I cannot fault their professionalism and highly recommend a look round when choosing your nursery or preschool.

A lovely nursery, staff are approachable and very helpful from the caregivers to management. Regular developmental reviews are sent home which are very detailed and informative. My daughter has loved her time at Busy Bees at West Suffolk Hospital. Thank you for looking after her so well.

Friendly, helpful management + dedicated, organised and innovative key worker/room leader + stimulating, fun learning environment + healthy, tasty food = happy child and happy mummy!

Area for improvement - Supply pull up pants to aid with the development of potty training. Not simply jump from nappies to pants.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees in Bury st Edmunds since Sept 2015. Ayla thoroughly enjoys her time at Busy Bees. Every day she learns something new. Her development is amazing thanks to the time and dedication each staff member gives her. I can leave my daughter all day with the peace of mind that she is very happy and content in the care of all the staff there. Amazing meals provided to.

Busy Bees at Bury at West Suffolk is a lovely, purpose built Nursery. Our Son has been attending since he was 8 months old and really enjoys his time there. The staff are very friendly and have helped settle our Son, providing a high standard of care to him. My son has many activities planned for him during his day and it is lovely to get regular photos and artwork sent home to us. The food provided at Busy Bees is of a very high standard, with a range of meals being offered throughout the week. We would highly recommend this Nursery!!!
