The Review Score of 8.4 (maximum of 10) for Busy Bees at West Suffolk Hospital is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Busy Bees at West Suffolk Hospital in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

Detailed Breakdown

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.747 for Busy Bees at West Suffolk Hospital is calculated as follows: ( (63 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.747

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 3.656 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees at West Suffolk Hospital is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 3.5

    2. Target of 19.2 positive Reviews (96 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 3 Reviews ÷ 19.2 Target = 0.156

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Busy Bees at West Suffolk Hospital is a fabulous nursery that I have used for about 7 years for my two children, the youngest of which is about to start school. They have both attended since about 9 months old and have been well looked after and supported throughout their time. The nursery has very well appointed rooms, with appropriate activities for the age group. The staff are amazing and provide such good care whilst we are working.
We cannot recommend it highly enough - great childcare with friendly, knowledgeable staff. They welcome each child as an individual and tailor their care and learning to them. The food is fantastic too, and the chefs know all the kids as well.
Fantastic place for both our children to spend their early years.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees in Bury st Edmunds since Sept 2015. Ayla thoroughly enjoys her time at Busy Bees. Every day she learns something new. Her development is amazing thanks to the time and dedication each staff member gives her. I can leave my daughter all day with the peace of mind that she is very happy and content in the care of all the staff there. Amazing meals provided to.

An excellent little nursery that my child has attended since 6 months old and will soon be going to pre-school which he talks non-stop about. He made lots of friends, tells me about all the fun he has and makes lots of lovely gifts for us.
Area for improvement - Supply pull up pants to aid with the development of potty training. Not simply jump from nappies to pants.

My Son is in the pre-school room and has been attending Busy Bees since he was 10 months old. Having gone from the Baby room to where he is now I have always felt comfortable in leaving him knowing he is going to have fun with the activities on offer to him.
The food is varied and healthy.
I have always found the staff to be professional but approachable and friendly.
I would highly recommend Busy Bees.

The staff are very friendly and have helped settle our Son, providing a high standard of care to him. My son has many activities planned for him during his day and it is lovely to get regular photos and artwork sent home to us. The food provided at Busy Bees is of a very high standard, with a range of meals being offered throughout the week. We would highly recommend this Nursery!!!
