Sherborne House Nursery

Hi, this is an excellent nursery! My child has blossomed into a cute, inquisitive and confident young girl. Thanks to the wonderful and loving teachers. Each child gets special attention and care. We all love it.

We are very happy with the new nursery. Our daughter started in the baby room on the first day that the nursery opened. I was anxious about her starting as she has been in the same setting for 11 months but I was extremely surprised to see her settle in immediately. The nursery has such a calm vibe, so different to any nursery I have been to. The children are happy and seem to have settled so quickly. The rooms and toys are kept so lovely and clean, with a very regular cleaning regime in place. Most importantly our daughter is super happy to be there.

My daughter has just joined Pre-Reception at Sherborne House, and we have been really pleased with how warmly she has been welcomed, and how the staff have personalised her transition into school (age 3). This is the first time she's been cared for by anyone except immediate family, so a huge change for her, but staff have been absolutely wonderful in introducing her to the school environment, and now only a few weeks in she is very happy, settled, and enjoying the broad range of curricular activities. The staff clearly care very much for the children, and are very thoughtful and considered in how they adapt and shape the experiences for each child. We are delighted, and would highly recommend Sherborne House.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this Pre-school to anyone, it truly is excellent!

Sherborne House has been fantastic in everything! Our daughter who is very shy was busy chatting away to the teachers on her very first day (considering she only had one successful settling in session out of her two, this was incredible!). This is not like our daughter to be so open and so quickly to people she is not familiar with, but both the manager and staff are clearly putting in a lot of effort in getting to know the children, in order for them to open up so quickly.

Our daughter does like to nap but has never napped anywhere other than her own cot (or if we are on holiday). She will not go to sleep in a pushchair, in the car seat etc, however, the teachers have been so gentle with our daughter, that she has been sleeping for an hour in the afternoons. This has been amazing as she isn't so overtired from her full day.

It is brilliant that the children are able to take part in extra-curricular activities such as French, P.E. and music!

Sherborne House Pre-school has been the most wonderful experience for my son. After just a short time at Sherborne my son's enthusiasm for learning accelerated. I could never have imagined he would have learnt so much before starting Reception. The wonderful staff made every step fun for him and he was always eager to attend. I would thoroughly recommend Sherborne to anyone looking to give their child the best start to schooling.

My son absolutely loves Sherbourne House Pre-Reception. On mornings he doesn’t come here there is a visible sadness on his part. He really loved it here.

What is clear is that the teachers and key workers know all the children so well and are able to tap into their strengths building them up and making them confident children. They also identify areas that the children have less strength in and build on them. We have seen our son grow in confidence and I really regret not sending the older one to this pre-school when he was younger. The staff are brilliant. We are very lucky.

In fact, at home, he now gives us a daily dose of karaoke.

Sherborne House is providing our daughter with excellent care. It has fantastic facilities and is giving her really good preparation for starting school this coming September. Our daughter enjoys every day that she attends and they provide a lovely nurturing environment but also making it a fun environment for the children to develop in.

My daughter absolutely loves coming to Pre-Reception at Sherborne House School. The staff are excellent and it is clear they know each child individually. Time and time again they go the extra mile to provide the highest level of care for the children. It is a super mixture of more formally learning and play based activities, which provides the children with an excellent grounding before they go onto reception. I could not rate the staff and Pre-School highly enough.

I have been extremely impressed with pre-reception for my daughter to settle in. Excellent staff members who are always very welcoming and helpful.

An outstanding nursery, set within a wonderful school which our eldest child is thriving in. Our son has come on leaps and bounds since he started attending Sherborne House Pre-Reception. The staff are superb and create a fun and stimulating environment. They treat each child as an individual and dedicate huge amounts of time to nurturing them. Thoroughly recommended, no other setting locally comes close.

Sherborne House school offers a fantastic pre-reception/nursery setting. My child was able to identify letters, numbers and write his name after just a few weeks of being there. He had the most wonderful keyworker, who always put the children first and ensured they delivered the very best results. My child has a serious medical condition that requires a lot of assistance, the nursery engaged with the medical professionals to ensure his medication, Physio and restrictions were always adhered to. I would recommend this nursery to everybody. If you are looking for the very best setting, run by wonderful staff, then this is the one for you.

The nursery in Sherborne House School is simply wonderful. My child enjoyed her time there and she especially loved the staff. She always came home with a smile! The good thing about a school run nursery is that your child gets used to a school environment and gets to mix with older children. This is particularly helpful in settling into new school going routines. Sherborne House School Nursery understand these challenges for little ones. Highly recommended.

The staff are welcoming and friendly. They clearly have a passion for spending time with kids and show they care for each child's individual need.

My son has only just recently started but is loving every minute and we couldn’t be happier.
