Little Rays in Lisburn was the first nursery opened by Little Rays Nursery group which now runs 3 nurseries. They care for children aged between 2 months and 12 years, with both full and part time care available.

The dedicated team of staff are carefully selected based on their relevant qualifications and experience, undergoing rigorous Access NI checks and local Trust vetting before employment. Parents can rest assured that all staffing ratios consistently meet minimum standards, with 100% of the team either qualified or actively pursuing a childcare qualification. Many of the team have been employed for over 10 years.

Each room is thoughtfully equipped with activities specifically designed for the children using it, ensuring engagement and development within their own age group. Outdoors, children can explore in the secure and stimulating areas, which are equipped for active play, imaginative adventures, and discovery. A varied and nutritional menu of food is served to children every day to ensure they have energy to carry out their busy nursery day.

School delivery, collection services, breakfast and holiday clubs are also provided by the nursery to provide parents with all childcare provision.

Little Rays are inspired by the Curiosity Approach promoting awe and wonder in children’s learning, to ignite a child’s natural curiosity to explore the world around them. The approach is based on child-led learning and ‘In the Moment’ planning - children make their own choices, and figure things out for themselves which leads to enhanced confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

To support parents in making an informed childcare decision, Little Rays provide a comprehensive enquiries and induction PowerPoint during enrolment. This resource offers a detailed overview of Little Rays' routines, fee structure, and general information, allowing families to fully appreciate what the setting has to offer.

Great nursery, I have 2 children there and it's like a wee family. The girls know all about the little ones, great care is given and very friendly staff. The updates and photos during the day are lovely.

Both of my sons have attended the preschool in Little Rays Nursery and they have both been so happy. My 4 year old is currently attending and we are so grateful for the genuine care and support he gets. The staff are all amazing and put the children's needs and safety first. They are also excellent
at communicating with us through the app and keeping us up to date with photos and information which is also lovely. Thank you!

Highly recommend this nursery. Staff treat my son so well and he gets so excited to go in each day and loves spending time there. There are a great range of activities each day which I can follow on the app and they give us regular updates and photos throughout the day. The food is fresh and cooked
on site and great to see opportunities for bonus activities throughout the year such as day trips, fitness classes and surprises like Santa visits or ice cream van visits. Great value but more importantly staff give you great piece of mind that your child is supported and well taken care of.

The best nursery ever! Honestly top service from all the staff. My daughter is so comfortable with them and is so happy going in! They have lots and lots of great equipment and great activities. Every single member of staff is so genuinely lovely. Highly recommend!

My daughter currently attends preschool in Little Rays and absolutely loves it. It has a real home-from-home feel and the staff are very attentive and caring. My daughter started in Little Rays Nursery in September 2023, she is young in the age group (May birthday) and we were concerned with how she would settle in. With the guidance of the Little Rays staff she has thrived over the past 5 months and loves getting her uniform on and heading into school each
day. Little Rays are great at communicating with parents and answering any questions we may have. They provide a full and enriching curriculum to the children and we couldn't be happier with the nursery for our daughter. It will most definitely be our first choice of nursery when our son is of preschool age.

Both of my children have attended the preschool within Little Rays and I have to say it is amazing! The staff are fantastic and make sure they meet each children’s individual needs, they support and encourage the children and parents in every way possible. I am so grateful to the staff for everything

Brilliant staff. They have been amazing while my son has been potty training. Good facilities, good activities daily. They get time outside usually daily weather permitting. All in all a good nursery .

My son has been at Little Rays now for around 2.5 years. He is currently attending the preschool there as well.
He absolutely loves it, loves going into school and chats about his teachers and friends daily. Support from the staff is great, the food is fantastic, can't recommend Little Rays highly

My son has been at Little Rays over a year now. From the start, the management couldn't have been more helpful when it came to enrolling and setting up payments. Very accommodating to our son's allergies.
We absolutely love Little Rays. The room staff are wonderful, the activities are engaging. Lots
of outdoor play. Our son is always excited to go in and never stops telling us about his day when he is home.
Our son has had some medical issues and all the staff have gone above and beyond our expectations. Even calling to check he was ok during hospital stays. The service is very personal and they can tell if he is just not himself. They are all so caring and loving. It's amazing to see your child building a trusting relationship with them all and how caring they are.
I trust them completely and never worry about my son in their care. Excellent all round. Highly recommended.

Excellent nursery with amazing staff who help support and develop my child. We have been with Little Rays since my son was 1 year old and he loves it. All the staff are helpful and friendly. They support my son both with learning and socially.

Little Rays is a fabulous daycare facility, both my girls attend it and they love going. My eldest is now in the preschool and is absolutely thriving, learning new concepts and skills each day. The staff at Little Rays are magnificent, it really is a home-from-home environment and the updates via the
app are a fabulous way to keep in touch during the long working days. I never have to worry about the girls as I know they are in the best hands!
The kids get to explore via messy play most days and my youngest has learned to feed herself, all thanks to the staff in the Wonderer's Room! I would highly recommend Little Rays to anyone looking for a daycare facility.

My little one really enjoys going to the nursery.
The staff are all very friendly and give feedback each day on how the little one got on during the day.
I enjoy getting media updates during the day the most as it really gives me peace of mind that my little one is enjoying themselves.

My son has been attending Little Rays since he was 6 months old and at the time my nerves were through the roof but the care and attention the girls have shown my son is beyond words! They are also great at keeping you up to date with all his activities through the little app, this makes me feel included
every step of the way. I cannot recommend this nursery enough!
