Little Rays in Lisburn was the first nursery opened by Little Rays Nursery group which now runs 3 nurseries. They care for children aged between 2 months and 12 years, with both full and part time care available.

The dedicated team of staff are carefully selected based on their relevant qualifications and experience, undergoing rigorous Access NI checks and local Trust vetting before employment. Parents can rest assured that all staffing ratios consistently meet minimum standards, with 100% of the team either qualified or actively pursuing a childcare qualification. Many of the team have been employed for over 10 years.

Each room is thoughtfully equipped with activities specifically designed for the children using it, ensuring engagement and development within their own age group. Outdoors, children can explore in the secure and stimulating areas, which are equipped for active play, imaginative adventures, and discovery. A varied and nutritional menu of food is served to children every day to ensure they have energy to carry out their busy nursery day.

School delivery, collection services, breakfast and holiday clubs are also provided by the nursery to provide parents with all childcare provision.

Little Rays are inspired by the Curiosity Approach promoting awe and wonder in children’s learning, to ignite a child’s natural curiosity to explore the world around them. The approach is based on child-led learning and ‘In the Moment’ planning - children make their own choices, and figure things out for themselves which leads to enhanced confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

To support parents in making an informed childcare decision, Little Rays provide a comprehensive enquiries and induction PowerPoint during enrolment. This resource offers a detailed overview of Little Rays' routines, fee structure, and general information, allowing families to fully appreciate what the setting has to offer.

The staff in Little Rays are fantastic and my son loves to go there. They have great facilities and lots of ideas for the kids. Plus the food is excellent. He has really developed since starting there and I hope to apply for their pre school next year.

The children have very attentive & engaging staff. Children enjoy being there. They have met a lot of good friends (for life) and they all get on so well.
Classroom activities are very good and plenty of outdoor time too.

My children have attended Little Rays Nursery from small babies and have attended pre school, after school and days during the holidays.
Little Rays staff are kind, child centered and encouraging. There is always a great range of activities, brilliant food and snacks and great outdoor play and trips
in the school holidays.
My kids love attending Little Rays after school room and always have a great time!

My son started at little rays in January 2025 and has had the best experience ever since.
All staff are a credit to the nursery and delivery optimum care to my son.
The nursery it's-self is kept to high standards of cleanliness as well as a fun place for the children.

The staff are just so lovely and approachable.
I feel happy to leave my daughter in their care.
They keep us up to date and I feel I can ask them anything if I'm worried.
My daughter always seems happy coming out and we are sent regular photos of what she is up to during the day.

Wonderful nursery and preschool. My son has been attending for a number of years now. All the staff are so friendly and lots of activities for the kids. He loved the Amazon jungle show last week. All the visits out and external visitors in give such a variety.

We started in Feb 25 - and I cannot rate them enough - as a first time Mum i was worried about leaving my child off at first, but they all put you at ease and the app is fantastic. Everyone keeps you updated on the day, and my little girl absolutely loves all the girls. Her social skills have improved

There aren't enough superlatives for me to say how amazing a place Little Rays Nursery Lisburn is! My daughter has been with them since she was eight months old and she will be seven next week. She has learned and grown so much as she has moved through the different rooms and even went to pre-school
here.
The staff are what make this place so special, to a person they are amazing and they go above and beyond for my daughter and indeed every child with them. They are a credit to Little Ray's. A special mention needs to go to one member of staff in particular for her magical chicken curry. I don't think there is a child who has tasted it who doesn't rave about it.

Staff are all very welcoming and sensitive to child's needs. I like how I can see throughout the day how my child has got on, eaten etc. And if upset which is usually at drop off staff will reassure me that my child has settled and happy.
