I am very delighted to put my daughter in this nursery. After coming off maternity leave and restarting job, I was scared to leave my little one, but the staff at Step by Step nursery are brilliant. They have done a wonderful job with my little one. I must say that my daughter has been provided with the best care from them. Her weaning was not great, but Step by Step nursery has helped with that too. I can not thank you enough guys. You are very compassionate and caring. I and my husband are very happy with your care. We definitely recommend this nursery - 5-stars for you guys!

Step by Step is a fantastic nursery. The staff are so caring and my daughter loves her time there. A lot of care and attention towards the children. The kids are kept engaged by learning activities and crafts.

I have two children at Step by Step. My eldest is 3 and a half in the rainbow room and my youngest is 14 months in the baby bears room. They both love nursery and have settled really well with their key workers and all the staff at the nursery. The nursery is great at communicating with an app that shows me observations, updates about what they have eaten, nappies and all sorts. They have catered really well to the dietary requirements for my children and I can tell they have loving attachments at the core of what they do. They have recently done up the outdoor space a lot with great new experiences and resources that my son really loves. Thanks to all the staff at Step by Step for the care and attention to my boys!

My daughter loves Step by Step so much. A caring environment that I feel safe dropping her off each day. All the staff know all the children so feels like a great community. I get pictures and other creations my child has made which is special and I think she eats better, more diverse foods than I eat! Very jealous. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

My child has attended Step by Step for 2 1/2 years. I couldn't recommend the nursery any more. The staff are very affectionate and friendly. I get constant updates all day at work which I enjoy and makes me feel at ease.

My little girl has not long started at Step by Step, and she has loved it from day one, always goes in not a problem and does not like to leave. The staff are lovely, and my little girl has taken to them very quickly, which I was not expecting. Would definitely recommend this nursery for your little ones.

My daughter attends the nursery and absolutely loves it. My eldest daughter who is now at school also attended the nursery, and we couldn’t fault them. The management and practitioners are excellent with the kids and extremely approachable. There is a large range of activities for the kids to take part in. The nursery has a Forrest school programme, which is amazing and out with the COVID restrictions, they offer swimming lessons as well as singing and rhyme classes. My daughter is quite shy, but since she has attended the nursery, her confidence has soared! I put this down to the excellent care and encouragement she receives at Step by Step. I 100% recommend the nursery.

My son and I have both had a very positive experience at Step by Step Maryhill. The staff are professional, enthusiastic and engage well with all the children. The activities and meals provided are varied and they are more than willing and able to provide additional support, like in the case of my son who was born prematurely and has a mild developmental delay. Having moved my son from a different nursery after concerns around the care he was receiving, I am now so much happier and know he is in good hands and having fun. I would thoroughly recommend Step by Step to other parents.

Our little boy has attended Step by Step for over three years and has loved his time there. The staff are friendly and communicate well in person and through app updates too. There is a lovely sense of community at the nursery, with opportunities for parents or family to get involved throughout the year. The forest school programme (at the children's wood) and swimming lessons are a real bonus, and our little one particularly enjoys music class too. These activities were a draw for us and helped to break up the more traditional nursery setting. The staff make the most of the yard areas (no lawn/green space) and spend lots of time outdoors. They regularly take walks along the canal, go to the Botanics or a trip to the shops, and (pre covid) visits to the local care home too. It's a lovely wee nursery.

My son has been at Step by Step Maryhill for 10 months, and I have only good things to say about it. The staff are friendly, professional and caring. We get regular updates during the day via the ParentZone app. During the initial settling in period, staff were reassuring and patient (with him and me!). There's been a great effort over the last year to make improvements: the menus have been reviewed and improved, and the outdoor areas have been upgraded. Pricing is reasonable, especially as all meals and snacks are included, which is a great relief! My son obviously loves his time at nursery, eats well, and has made great progress with his speech since returning after lockdown! During the pandemic, the staff have been great at keeping us informed and safe, and lots of effort was made to stay engaged with the kids during the lockdown. I'd recommend Step by Step to anyone.

Great experience with this nursery, my daughter attends and each time she is happy coming out and going in, the girls are friendly and reassuring. The place is clean, with Covid going on I can’t get fully in but always happy with how my daughter is cared for by her key worker and other staff, they always take time at the end of the night to speak to me and tell me how my daughter's day has been.

My daughter has just started with Step by Step and I am thoroughly pleased with how well she has settled. I was extremely anxious about settling her due to her having a tough time settling in a different nursery but I honestly couldn’t be happier with her progress. All staff are positive and happy and this has ensured a smooth settling period and drop-offs are worry free. My daughter is happy to go to the staff and has an amazing day when she is in their care. Would highly recommend this nursery, they are doing a great job!

My son has been at the nursery for three years. I have been really happy with the care he receives, all the staff are a pleasure to deal with, my son loves going every day and asks to go at the weekends, think that says it all.

There is no garden but a backyard, also the building requires some improvements. But the care/attention my daughter gets is more important than a historical building or lawned gardens. All the staff are very attentive and know and care about my daughter a lot. They do a lot of outdoor time. They also have forest school and music/dance sessions as well as swimming lessons. My daughter is very happy and so are we.

When I visited Step by Step I was really impressed by the staff who seemed really competent and enthusiastic. Now my daughter has been there for three months. I can see that my impressions were right. The level of learning and care is very high. The activities are really relevant and highly creative. I just need to add that unfortunately, the food provided is poor in nutritional qualities - high in starch and carbohydrates, lacking vegetables, pulses and high-quality cereals and grains.

I find the staff extremely professional, even the youngest members undertaking their training. My son did not settle in his first nursery and so both of us were anxious about finding another nursery. Management makes it a priority for the nursery to reassure parents that anxious children are happy and well during the day and this communication is welcomed. Staff don't change regularly - it has been the same faces in the baby room for almost a year and this is important especially for babies. It is also a good sign that staff are well looked after as some nursery change staff regularly. Staff seem to know all babies well and their personalities and individual needs. So far we have experienced a parents evening, fireworks night, Halloween and a Christmas sensory party with Santa. Children are encouraged to socialise when doing activities such as painting, baking etc and this socialisation is building my son's confidence with other children.

They also provide an excellent pre-school education, such that my daughter easily made the transition to school despite being one of the youngest in her class.

Step by Step Nursery is fantastic. We are both really happy with the Nursery, in particular, the attentiveness and dedication of the staff. Staff clearly care hugely about the kids in the nursery and are always available to reassure and answer any questions or concerns we may have. As a result, we always feel confident our child is being nurtured and well cared for. We have seen our child blossom in the nursery and thus recommend it to all our friends. The online journal works really well as staff update it regularly and with a good deal of effort and thought. This means we have lots of photos of the fun stuff going on in the nursery to see and show relatives.

Both our boys have attended Step by Step Maryhill and our youngest is in his last year before P1. The staff are what makes this nursery. They go above and beyond to get to know the kids and are kind, warm and friendly. My youngest son loves his 'ladies'! Activities and trips are excellent. Swimming lessons, music, forest school, play on pedals. Great communication with parents through FB and regular newsletter etc.
