Happitots Nursery Garrowhill is a purpose built building, situated within Garrowhill Park in the East End of Glasgow and is part of a well-established nursery group. They are delighted to have been awarded NMT Nursery Group Award 2018.

Happitots offers four age-appropriate playrooms that provide safe, engaging and stimulating play areas for children to play, learn and develop. Rooms are designed with children’s learning and development in mind and are well resourced with a variety of educational, messy play, physical, art and sensory play toys.

There are two small bespoke garden areas to the front of the nursery which also uses the adjoining park and church grounds for play and learning opportunities. Happitots make use of the local park, giving children opportunities to run around, play in the sand and improve their climbing skills.

Happitots Staff team are passionate and dedicated to the care of children and ensuring that children are safe and engaged throughout their time at nursery. All staff are fully disclosed and qualified or working towards a qualification in childcare.

Happitots operates in partnership with Glasgow City Council to offer funded pre-school sessions and provide a range of session patters to suit all childcare needs including variable session, extra sessions, full and part-time. Happitots offer a sibling discount and NHS staff discount.

Included in fees are quality early year’s care and education, healthy meals and snack.

Staff are always friendly and easy to speak to. All staff love the kids and I can honestly say I feel great leaving my son knowing he will be well looked after with no worries.

I now have two children who are in the nursery and would highly recommend it to other parents. My oldest has been in Happitots since six months old and loves it. She has struck up great relationships with both staff and other children, two staff in particular, who she dotes on. My youngest is in the
baby room and took no more than a week to settle, the girls made me at ease as its not always easy letting go of your baby after spending the start of their life with them. Have seen a massive difference in the place since the new manager took over, everyone seems happier and has a great structured routine in place.

My 10-month-old boy didn't get a place at the council nursery my daughter went to which I'd had multiple issues with but they knew us as a family so I was really worried about going private but I needn't be worried.
My son is flourishing more than I could ever have hoped, comes home having learnt
new things (waving, saying hi, able to feed himself) and he loves all the girls as do I.
I can't believe I put up with council issues for so long and feel at ease knowing that he's looked after and nothing is too much trouble for the girls. One very happy boy and a relaxed and very happy Mummy!

I have two children at this nursery, in different rooms, and they both love it. The staff are caring, considerate, make the effort to know the children they are working with and keep up to date with current practice. The children are given plenty of opportunities and support to try new experiences and
form positive relationships with children and staff. The extra activities are great, in that they allow the children to engage in specialist subjects with adults who are not usually in the nursery. My two children enjoy the meals and snacks and there is a good variety throughout the week. The nursery manager is amazing. She makes time for her staff and children in the nursery and knows what the children need to develop socially, emotionally and educationally.
I am so glad my children are in a nursery with people I can trust to help and support their development.

I love this nursery both my children have been to this nursery. My oldest who had autism went here and I cannot fault them, they brought him out of his shell. They treated him with respect and helped him form relationships, he formed great friendships here and they made sure he was included in everything.


My daughter started at 15 months, they helped with her first steps, helped with her language skills. She had built amazing friendships with her peers and the ladies are amazing, they honestly love her and help with every aspect of her development. She had gone through stages where she needs additional help to settle and nothing is too much for the girls and the manager. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery.

My daughter started attending this nursery at 9 months old when I returned to work. The staff were brilliant and really put my mind at ease that she was being well looked after. She was a very shy baby and didn’t really interact with other children well. She has come on leaps and bounds at this nursery
thanks to the excellent staff. They are so good with the children and nothing is ever a bother to them. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Top notch nursery in every way. Management, staff, facilities are outstanding. Lots of excellent activities arranged. Well fed, well supervised in a very friendly and respectful setting. My son is thriving there thanks to the manager and her team.

My husband and I have been continuously impressed by the level of professionalism and care given to our daughter at Happitots Garrowhill. Initially, we were shown around the nursery and both our daughter and we invited to tour and spend some time at the nursery to see how we felt. They were extremely
welcoming and subsequently, we chose to use the nursery two days a week. We are a same sex couple and have felt respected and treated fairly since our daughter started, so I'm confident families from different cultural and social backgrounds would benefit from choosing the nursery. The staff are great in updating us with a learning journal so we can keep up with what our daughter does at nursery and have been teaching her new things each time she attends. The Manager is great, well organised making our job as parents easier(!) and a very warm person, as are her staff, so we'd highly recommend the nursery.

Staff are fantastic, great learning for the kids, management is great. Overall a very family-like atmosphere. Not great outdoor space but make use of the park and church. Nursery fees are not value for money although the staff are fantastic and they do not get paid anywhere near what they should for
the care they provide for my kids, the fees are more than would you would pay anywhere else with the same ratings.

My granddaughter has attended the nursery since she was 7 months and is now in pre school and I would just like it to be recognised that since the new manger Stephanie has been there the nursery has took a big turn for the better, therefore credit were it's due well done Stephanie, top manager.

We came here after my daughter had a bad experience at another nursery. She was 25 months. The girls showed us around the whole nursery and every member of staff was lovely, warm and welcoming and encouraged my daughter to have a look for herself. She has come on leaps and bounds and loves going now,
food always smells amazing when we pick her up.

The nursery teachers at Happitots Garrowhill are just amazing. They always go out of there way to do what ever they can to help make the children's nursery experience as best as they can. They are very caring and treat each child as an individual to ensure their needs are met. Can't thank them enough

I cannot recommend Happitots garrowhill enough. My daughter has attended from ten months old and is now a preschooler and has come on leaps and bounds since beginning the nursery. The staff are amazing and the bonds they have with the children are evident whenever I am in. There have been a lot of management
changes over the last wee while and the staff have coped amazingly. Five stars from me.

My son attended the nursery from when he was 6 months old until he left for school. When he left he was a confident little boy who transitioned smoothly to school with thanks to the staff. I now have a daughter that attends the nursery, the difference in my daughter is amazing and her development has
come on so well since starting the nursery. Every staff member is always very welcoming, it's such a happy and friendly environment.

My daughter has been attending Happitots since she was 18 months old, she has come on leaps and bounds, she has gained lots of confidence and social skills that will enable an easy transition into primary school.


I feel the staff are highly motivated and provide a high standard of care to all children.

The atmosphere in the nursery is always warm and friendly. It makes working a lot easier knowing my child is in safe hands.


Takes a big heart to teach tiny minds and these guys are amazing. Highly recommended the nursery to others. Keep up the good work.

Having used a few nurseries over the years with older kids I can honestly say this is by far the best I have known. Ther staff are amazing and everyone of them is so passionate about their jobs. My son loves his nursery and even if he's having a bad morning I leave him knowing he will be well looked
after and will feel safe and loved. He has came on leaps and bounds since being here and knows things about the world and even space that I don't!! Love this nursery, wish I could start over with my older children and send them here.
