Big Bird Nursery

My 2 year old son started at Big Bird Nursery in February and has settled in brilliantly. The girls in the Tweenies room are fantastic with him. I found it difficult to leave him at first but always felt reassured. The app is always updated with what he’s been doing and pictures, which is great to see.

He is a happy and clever little boy, loves interactive play and singing and doing the actions. Quite often at home when we have music/nursery rhymes playing, our son will do the actions that he has been learning and for 17 months old, this is phenomenal. We know nursery has really helped him adapt and grow and can't wait to see what the rest of 2023 has in store for us! As always thank you, it's made such a daunting return to work so much easier!

Big Bird Nursery gave my son an excellent opportunity to develop. Every day he surprises me with words that he knows. I’d say that Big Bird is a perfect place for a child who learns to live and use two languages. Every day he’s telling me about great activities, about his friendships and his teachers. He’s a happy child in his nursery. Highly recommend. Big thank you to the Big Bird staff.

I am very satisfied with Big Bird Team, my son is in Pre-School, my daughter is in Tweenie Room and their development is amazing since they joined this nursery. Everyone is helpful, very knowledgeable, friendly and goes above and beyond to give the best start to our children. My kids enjoy the time with the staff and their friends and learn a lot every day. I am really glad we are part of the Big Bird family.

My daughter had attended Big Bird for a few months now and although it took her a few weeks to settle she is genuinely happy going in each morning and seems to have really bonded with all the girls. It’s lovely to see her going in and coming out smiling each day. The updates throughout the day are great as it really puts my mind at rest and I can see the kids get to do a range of activities over the week. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating.

After reserving a place while pregnant, we have been made to feel welcome and part of the Big Bird family from the very beginning. We were invited to join in with an online Burns celebration during Lockdown in Jan 2021 and it was clear from that point on that my baby was going to be in great hands. All the staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and nothing has been too much trouble. We were delighted with the settling arrangements despite COVID still playing a part in the day to day running of things. I felt very comfortable seeing the staff care for all the babies and was impressed with how child-led the environment was for the very youngest age group. The room is welcoming, accessible and is regularly adapted to keep it fresh. The activities are well thought out with consideration for the age/stage of development. It was very obvious that my baby was happy to spend time there and he seemed to come on really quickly once settled in. I love seeing the app updates each day.

This is a fantastic nursery. My son really struggled to settle in at first with only being 10 months old when he started. Each care worker went above and beyond to make his settling process as smooth as possible. Now my son absolutely loves going in and enjoys his day (so much so, that he tries to climb back over the gate when we're leaving). We don't live local to the nursery although very happy to drive that journey each day he's at nursery and we know he enjoys it.

Our journey has ended with my youngest starting school and we will miss Big Bird very much. They are the very best there is.

Wonderful nursery, with a warm and caring environment, my nervous son settled in straight away. The facilities are brilliant and the staff are always kind and attentive. We would recommend Big Bird to anyone.

We are very pleased with this nursery. Very nice and helpful staff members. They helped me get through the registration procedure easily despite my poor English. Our daughter settled very quickly and goes to the nursery with a smile. We see a great deal of progress in speaking and establishing relationships with other children. Thanks to the application on the phone, we have a preview of what is happening with the child when she is in the nursery and provides easy contact with staff - this is great! We would also like to thank you for the beautiful photos of our daughter that create wonderful memories. Big Bird Nursery was the best choice! We highly recommend it!

Big Bird Nursery is such a wonderful nursery. My son has come on so well since joining, his confidence has grown so much. The staff are always so kind and excited to see my son. They post updates throughout the day tracking everything my son has been up to, along with a daily photo of an activity. Every Friday the staff publish on the app my son's progress and next steps. I love how involved they are in my child’s development and the communication with them is impeccable. I definitely wouldn’t send my boy elsewhere.

The environment is so positive, joyful and comfortable, that we know there will be many parents who feel the same as us.

The staff are amazing and any communication between myself and the nursery have been very professional and I’ve received a prompt response.

Management, staff, rooms and the care they provide is amazing. Our son is loving the nursery and is always looking forward to going there. He loves all the staff and is gaining his confidence more. We would highly recommend the nursery.

My daughter started Big Bird Nursery when she was 10 months old. I feel the nursery have helped her reach all her milestone. I was really nervous about leaving my daughter in nursery while returning to work but the app really helped. The nursery staff give you lovely update and photos of how your child is getting on in nursery and it’s lovely to see. All the staff are so friendly and when I drop off my daughter I can tell they have a great bond as she will walk into nursery herself.

All of the staff are welcoming, friendly, experienced and very caring towards the children. A lovely, safe environment with lots of activities and a great outdoor area - parents receive regular updates on the children throughout the day. Highly recommend.

My little one has had so much support since starting Big Bird Nursery which has brought him on so much. The staff have been amazing with accommodating dietary changes at such short notice and provide such a nurturing environment. I can't recommend Big Bird Nursery enough!

Big Bird Nursery has provided the best possible care for both my children from babies/young toddlers. They give the sense of trust and care for your children. Allowing you to leave them without any worry. I honestly can’t thank the team at Big Bird enough! We recommend them to everyone in need of childcare or looking to develop them at an earlier age, which we did with our second child after seeing the clear advantages of having our first there!
