Celtic Cross is a great facility which both my children have enjoyed. The activities they run on a daily basis are super for the development of the children but more importantly, they're fun!
I would highly recommend Celtic Cross to anyone.
Our two have attended Celtic Cross Nursery over the last 2 years and they have both loved it. The staff are great and very approachable. They spend lots of time playing outside and enjoy varied activities throughout the day.
The manager that runs the nursery is wonderful and extremely helpful also! It really is a lovely place!
I really, really can't thank the nursery enough.
The staff are very dedicated and work very hard to make it a very rewarding experience for the children.
Activities are great and my child is always exhausted after a session at nursery.
Management are excellent and very accommodating.
All in all an excellent nursery and I'm proud my child is having the best care possible!
This is simply a fantastic nursery - the staff really go the extra mile to care for the children. We have two children at Celtic Cross and they have really flourished whilst there. The staff are kind and attentive but also firm when necessary and generally work extremely hard to make each day fun and interesting for the children. The buildings are not purpose-built and therefore are a bit unusual in terms of layout but in practice they offer warm cosy play-spaces for the children. The nursery has both ample outdoor space and also a great location on the banks of the river for educational walks and exercise.
I have had 2 children at Celtic Cross nursery and love the care they receive. It is a very happy welcoming nursery where all the staff know all the children. The outdoor space is amazing and they spend a lot of time outside playing, going for walks or trips to the park. Staff and management are very accommodating of any special needs/requests. There is great communication to let you know how your child's day has been. My daughters both loved the food and it's cooked in the kitchen at the nursery. Would highly recommend Celtic Cross.
What impresses me most is the genuineness of everyone involved and the level of care our children have received. We feel like the staff know our children and care for them in a way that is more than just a job. They are always warm and welcoming and there seem to be enough of them which I think is great. I am a teacher and have also managed a day care myself. I had real misgivings about certain aspects of it and was sure I would never send my own children to day care. Now I have and I am very happy to have done so. Care and education have been excellent.
This is a great nursery, staff are all really friendly and my son has built up a good relationship with all the 'big ladies'. Really like the online learning journals. I would have definitely recommend.
An excellently managed nursery, with caring thoughtful and forward thinking staff, in a lovely environment. My kids are very happy going there. One of my children is transitioning to school this year and I know that the nursery has had a key role to play in ensuring that he is ready for it. I am so glad I didn't think about sending my kids anywhere else. I would not hesitate to recommend it highly to other parents.
Always friendly and chatty
Listen to the parent as well as the child
The only criticism I would have is that for the toddler room you not told what they get for lunch etc so they may end up having the same thing twice in one day
We are extremely happy with the standard of care Celtic Cross nursery provide. Both our young boys love their nursery time. Our eldest son has been in attendance since 13 months old and our youngest since he was 18 months and although it's never an easy choice to leave your children with anyone else it's made less stressful knowing that they will have a brilliant day with a devoted and enthusiastic team.
Both my boys have really loved Celtic Cross. The ladies have become an extended family to them and truly care for their wee charges. The manager works very hard to be accommodating and flexible regarding your work commitments and changes in shifts/rotas/placements. The kids seem to always be doing something new, creative, and a bit crazy. Edible glitter jelly anyone?
We were already aware of Celtic Cross' long-standing history of excellence as a nursery when we made the decision to enrol our daughter, indeed some of the parents of children at the nursery now went there themselves!
The staff are ever welcoming and are especially adept at supporting new children and parents through the initial stages of registration and settling in. They are accommodating to the maximum, always willing to help and absolutely fantastic with the children. Our daughter enjoys every moment she is there and loves catching up with 'her' Big Ladies when we see them outside of nursery.
I am so glad that we had a setting like Celtic Cross available in our local area and fully recommend it to all parents and parents-to-be.
Excellent nursery, clean, tidy, great selection of resources and the outdoor space is fantastic, staff are always helpful and work well together to cater for each individual child's need and looked after my son really well after his recovery from his operation.
I have two boys aged four and two who have both attended Celtic Cross since they were a year old and they love it. The staff are great and have been very supportive over the years. The kids get to try lots of different activities an foods and always eat what nursery feeds them.
We have used Celtic Cross Nursery for all three of our children and they and us are so happy. The children thrive under their care and for this we are so very grateful. We love the friendliness and caring nature of all the staff and I love the family atmosphere of the nursery. The manager is so attentive and does very well with the resources she has from Bertram. Overall a lovely, friendly, safe environment in which you child can play, learn and grow.
I have found Celtic Cross to be an excellent nursery. I have two boys who have attended this nursery both since 12 months until school age. At each stage the carers listened and worked with me to ensure the boys were settled and happy. Both have really enjoyed their time at nursery. The variety of toys and activities is good and all the children play so well together. When ever you go into a room the children are always engaged in something. The nursery has a nice friendly, homely atmosphere.
My children are so happy to go here and so sad to leave. The staff are all wonderfully caring and friendly. An absolutely amazing, nurturing and supportive place for children. Absolutely love it. Celtic Cross has now become part of the family - the friendships made amongst the children and parents are wonderful to see.
All the staff in the nursery take time to get to know each individual child really well, not just their class teachers, but the manager and the cook also. The nursery updates the Learning Journals regularly, so that we can see on a day by day basis what they've been up. My son has loved his 3 years at Celtic Cross and is genuinely sad to be leaving to go to school.
