A HOMELY AND INSPIRING NURSERY IN ABERDEEN

You and your child will love the spacious and nurturing Treehouse Early Care and Education Centre. Situated onsite at Robert Gordon University, they offer childcare to university staff, children and the local community. The experienced and highly skilled staff offer enriching activities to support children’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

It is a purpose-built setting that has a large Under 2s space that can be split into separate multifunctioning rooms. This allows them to change up the space depending on the interests and developmental stages of the children. Younger babies love learning about the world through sensory activities, discovering new textures, sights and sounds. They use their natural curiosity to improve their gross and fine motor skills as they learn how to interact with the world around them.

The rooms have lots of natural light and space to play, discover and investigate. The nursery's educational resources provide a broad range of learning experiences, from exploring and reading in the cosy book nook, to learning about the world through IT and STEM activities.

Outside, the beautiful Treehouse nursery has garden areas focused for each age group. The Under 2s’ garden provides the younger children with a safe space to explore and learn. Older children have freeflow access out to a large space with lots of unique learning opportunities including a mud kitchen, balance equipment and tricycles.

The staff would love to meet you and your child, so book a visit today and the team will show you all that the nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Both my children have been to this nursery and it is fantastic. I can go to work knowing that my children are both very safe and happy. The staff are excellent and very friendly and approachable. The nursery has made my children develop with confidence and security. I would not hesitate to recommend
this to other people.

The staff here are really what makes this nursery a special place. Since going into the pre-school room with my son's keyworker he has enjoyed every day there as she makes all her children feel very special.
The onsite facilities are also the reason we chose here, cooking onsite as well as the outside
space. We had seen other nurseries but none looked like Treehouse.

Treehouse provides a safe, nurturing environment for children. Our daughter has developed extremely well under their care and will be more than ready for school when the time comes. She loves going to nursery every day and has developed into a bright, confident child.

I love this nursery. It is a purpose-built nursery, the layout and facilities are excellent. All staff are extremely nice. You are kept up to date by email at what is happening and upcoming events. I love the double entry front door for security this gives me peace of mind. I also love how open and
airy the place feels, it's not over cramped and the big windows mean plenty of access to natural light. I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery to anyone.

The Treehouse is a fantastic nursery, with regards to the outdoor space they have and the way of learning through play. The staff seem to be always working as a team towards both the children and the parents.
The only one downside is sometimes cleanliness but I am sure they do their best.

My son attends Treehouse Nursery for 2 and a half days per week. He settled very quickly, helped by the exceedingly friendly and caring staff.
When my son has had any illness, the ladies have all been so kind to him. I don't trust many people with my son, but I trust all the staff implicitly.
The
nursery also follows my son's home routine and helps to develop new skills that I teach him at home. He is very happy here.

I have only good words to say about the nursery and staff. My boy started nursery in June with a bit of a hiccup as expected. Staff were very helpful in dealing with this, they were very supportive. We got from the point of a small cry when arriving to my boy walking in smiling every morning. He has
a happy time at nursery and every morning both him and myself are greeted with big smiles. Thank you very much to all the staff.

Moving from a childminder to a nursery setting I was apprehensive. However, Treehouse and the team in the 'Two's' room have been amazing, in little over a month they really know my child who has thrived in the environment they create.

The wider team outside the 'Two's' room are friendly and approachable

as well, making the nursery welcoming and inviting.
I honestly cannot recommend the nursery and team enough. Thank you.

I love the nursery. Both my children love coming here. They have great bonds with the staff, which makes me feel comfortable. My little girl who started school in August 2016, still loves coming into nursery to see her teachers.

Our daughter loves going to the nursery. She has developed strong bonds with her key worker as well as the other members of staff. She has good friends, feels that she can express and develop herself. She is involved in many activities (including arts and crafts, discussions, reading, singing, dancing,
home corner, outdoors activities etc). Staff including manager are approachable and always keen on giving us lots of information on the day our daughter has had. We are confident that she is safe, nurtured and always has good food. There are both structured activities for the children to have regular opportunities to learn, and some freedom left to the kids for them to also develop as independent learners. We are very satisfied with our nursery.

From our first visit, I have been very impressed with the Tree House Nursery. My daughter loves going to see 'her friends' (the staff!). Can't fault the care the staff give my daughter, she has been going for almost a year now and I fully believe her nursery experience has brought her development on
leaps and bounds. The nursery has a great outdoor space for playing and they often go for walks outside. My daughter takes part in a Jo Jingles class every week which she loves (this costs extra but is definitely worth it in my opinion). She often comes home with crafts and drawings they have been doing during the day. The nursery also invites parents along to 'stay and play' sessions at Christmas - great to see the kids having fun. I would 100% recommend this nursery to family and friends (and will be putting no. 2 there too!).

Very impressed with the nursery since my daughter started last October in the preschool room. My daughter had not been to a nursery before so she was a little anxious to start with but the staff were great at making her feel very welcome and reassured. They calmed me down too!

She settled in

quickly and the staff learned fast her likes and dislikes. At home time the staff are great at updating me what has happened through the day, what she had to eat and some of the activities she has done. My daughter is always chatting on the way home in the car what her day was like and talks very fondly about the staff.

She has been at the nursery for 6 months now and she is definitely more confident, playing with other children and wanting to do be more independent, dresses herself in the morning, shoes/jackets on by herself. But I know the staff help if needed and offer hugs!

All in all a great nursery!

We have been using Treehouse for childcare for 4+ years. We are very happy with the level of care our children have/do receive at these facilities, especially as our second has 'additional needs', we feel these are very well accommodated and supported here. We like the fact that meals are nutritious,
varied and freshly prepared on site, learning is interactive and varied, our only negative is the staff turnover rate which can sometimes have emotional/negative effects on children/relationships.

Treehouse Nursery provides day to day care for my child. Transition from home to nursery was excellent, communication from the start was really good, from management through to keyworker. Care of my child is really good, activities planned for her age, very consistent with her care. Workers in the room
are consistent with keeping her routine the same at nursery as it is at home which is very important to me.

Staff are very helpful and since moving rooms they have been very supportive. I enjoy looking at his JPLS as shows me what he has done and how he is progressing especially with problem with walking (July) the staff supported him and how at 2 years old he can walk unaided. My oldest son attended this
nursery too he also enjoyed it. My youngest son really enjoys his room and runs to the door and to the member of staff he made a bond with.

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.319)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.319) out of 10 for Bright Horizons The Treehouse Early Care & Education Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.4 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for Bright Horizons The Treehouse Early Care & Education Centre is calculated as follows: ( (33 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.402 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons The Treehouse Early Care & Education Centre is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 99 number of registered child places is 19.8. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 19.8 = 0.152
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
