Pobl Bach Nursery in Johnstown provides high quality care and education for children within a large, colourful, modern and open plan building.

The nursery offer top quality indoor equipment and a variety of age appropriate toys to support the learning and development of each child.

Pobl Bach promote and enjoy the benefit of outdoor space which is utilised at every opportunity. The gardens have specialised safety flooring to minimise accidents and offer a variety of age appropriate equipment, as well as stimulating features and sensory play areas, such as sand pits, wildlife areas and playhouses.

The nursery adopt a very friendly and caring atmosphere and this is displayed by the warm and loving relationships between the nursery staff and the children in their care.

Going from different locations the transition was easy

I sent my 12-year-old to Pobl Bach and now my 4-year-old is attending also. They both loved/ love going and I have had only a great experience with the nursery.


The kids' development is always the staff's main priority and their playtime always involves learning through play. They make sure to include

art activities and promote positive relationships with little ones to learn life skills.

Amazing service, so friendly and welcoming they were so patient with my little one especially after she was born a week before lockdown and hadn't met anyone couldn't fault them and the food meals they provide were amazing made sure her food pallet was full of difference flavours for her to try. Absolutely brilliant nursery, my son was there for 3 years and enjoyed every minute of it. Brilliant communication even though I was at work I didn’t feel like I’d missed out on anything as the details on his day given were so good followed by photos. The staff and management are amazing.
My son came
on so well from being there and made moving up to primary school a walk in the park. The effort with learning they put in with the children is worth every penny.

Both my children have attended the nursery since the age of 6months. The facilities, staff and planned activities have been excellent throughout their time, which has provided them with invaluable key skills and development.


The staff have been amazing throughout and provide quality care and have

become a part of our extended family with all their help and support.
Both of my children have enjoyed attending the nursery setting and have made a lovely rapport with the staff and other children.


These days we take advantage of the ELC (After school and holiday club) that they offer, which has meant we have been able to keep the children in a familiar setting and part of the Pobl Bach family ??

My son has been attending Pobl Bach since he was 11 months old, he’s set to start school in a couple of weeks and I’m very saddened to be taking him out of this nursery, they’ve given him the best start I could have wished for, when I was browsing nurseries everybody local recommended Pobl Bach, they
are known for being the best nursery in Carmarthen and I’m so glad I went with that advice, every member of staff cares for him like he’s there own, such a lovely setting and atmosphere, highly recommend!

My daughter has been in Pobl Bach since she was 6 months old. She is now 9. The staff have cared for her so well that she still loves going (now to the Early Learning Centre) and feels so at home there. There is always something organised to stimulate her interest and I trust the staff completely to
support her and care for her. Pobl Bach has been part of our lives and as a single parent, I feel they support me as she grows and develops. They know her and are like family with her, like a special Aunty.

My little girl started Pobl Bach Nursery (Johnstown) this September. I'm so glad I picked this nursery. She seems so happy there. We've never had any upsets dropping her off. In fact, she sometimes runs straight in without even looking back and saying goodbye. From what I've seen, the staff are all
lovely. There is one that I see more of and am particularly fond of, but like I say they are all always so pleasant and always smiling. I can tell that my little girl feels comfortable there and is also very fond of the staff. I get lots of updates throughout the day, and photos too, which I love! And nothing is ever too much trouble. Any little request has always been instantly taken on board. I have felt comfortable leaving my daughter in their care, and I'm very overprotective and worry, so it's been such a relief for me. Thank you to all the lovely girls in the baby unit!

My son loves this nursery (age 2.5 years). He goes in happy, waves goodbye and comes out happy also. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, approachable and helpful when I've needed to ask questions (quick responses too).

Both of my children attend Pobl Bach Nursery (Johnstown) and have done since they were both eligible. The nursery has given both of them so much confidence and independence, it is very noticeable how much their development has come on when put in comparison. I am so happy that me and my partner made
the decision to join Pobl Bach Nursery (Johnstown), the staff have been brilliant ever since day one. I know how much of a good job they do when my children come home and say they want to spend more time with two of the staff members or whoever their assigned carer has been for that given day and week. The peace of mind knowing that my children are being cared for so well is invaluable. Keep up the great work guys.

Sian has been a member of the Pobl Bach team since she was 16 years old. She has gained valuable experience over the years and is currently our Nursery Manager in Johnstown. Sian is also a fluent Welsh-speaking member of staff.
