My daughter started nursery here 1.5years ago now and we are so happy with our choice of Pobl bach.
We have daily updates of what she is up to throughout the day and always welcomed with friendly face on drop off/ pick up.
She has such a great variety of activities throughout her days and we can definitely
see a difference in her development since starting.
Would highly recommend Pobl Bach Johnstown.

I have four children - the oldest are 19 and 17 and back in 2009 I chose Pobl Bach for their care. It was the family atmosphere and caring, compassionate natures of the staff that really made the decision easy for me. They had genuine interest in the care of the children and their personalities. Several
years after my older children left, another of my children attended for wraparound care in 2017 and the staff still recalled my older children's names and asked after them! So when I needed a childcare setting for my now 2 year old - Pobl Bach was the obvious choice! My daughter absolutely loves going and the nurturing approach of the nursery is second to none. Although it is a business, it doesn't feel like a business - it feels like a home away from home and I would (and obviously did) choose it again and again!

From the very beginning, the team made us feel welcome and supported, creating a smooth and positive start for our daughter.
The staff are outstanding-understanding, compassionate, patient, approachable, and friendly. Their dedication is clear, and it is reassuring to know our daughter is cared for
by such committed professionals.
The activities are engaging, hands-on, and age-appropriate. They support all areas of development, particularly social and personal skills, and our daughter often talks enthusiastically about what she has been doing.
providing a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for learning and play.
Communication is a real strength. There is an open-door policy, staff are always happy to help, and messages via the app are responded to quickly. We also really value the regular updates and photos throughout the day.
Overall, we are extremely happy with Johnstown Nursery and feel confident that our daughter is thriving in a nurturing and supportive environment

The hardest decision for any parent is to leave their child in the hands of a complete stranger when its time to go back to work. But from the moment my daughter started until now 1.5 years later they have become our extended family and I can honestly say I trust them wholeheartedly. The wide array
of activities and entertainment has proven beneficial as my little speech is amazing which I strongly believe has been helped by the girls.
And just their over all kind, caring and gentle nature not just from one but from all members of staff is reassuring that we definitely chose the best nursery for our little girl. She is thriving and we can't thank them all enough.

My child started Flying Start crying... but from the first day I felt that my little one would be fine with the ladies and young ladies who would take care of my child... they are kind and always available with a smile on their faces... now Gabriel is calmer and no longer cries like he did at the beginning...
I hope it stays that way because I am satisfied and I see my child calmer... I always have pictures of what the boy is doing and what he is busy with and that reassures me even more... thank you and I am satisfied

My son started recently, I was so nervous about him starting the flying start, but everyone has been so kind and no matter how small the question they have been there to support us. I couldn't be happier with the service they provide and it's so refreshing that he has learnt so much, since being there.
He's so cared for and I know I don't have to worry because he's in great care

My granddaughter has been attending Pobl Bach since she was nearly 12 months old and really enjoys her time there. She tends to be really shy but has always been very happy to go there, classes her teachers as friends, particularly Lorna, and all the staff are really lovely. My granddaughter has
come on really well in the 2 years she has attended and although she had a space at the nursery attached to the school she will attend, it was decided she would continue at Pobl Bach as she enjoys it there so much and is doing so well there.
Their app is very reassuring and informative and when I collect my granddaughter the staff are always friendly and upbeat and relay any additional information about her day.
I like that they spend lots of time outside when the weather allows.

Pobl Bach nursery is such a lovely nursery for my busy little toddler. As energetic and outgoing as my little boy can be, the staff at Pobl Bach always go out of there way to care for him.
The activities that they do are brilliant, and I love when my son brings home something he made in nursery, it
always brings a smile to my face seeing his arts and crafts.
I also love the fact that the food they offer is cooked on site from scratch and is healthy and nutritious.
Everything is so easy to check using the app, it allows me to check on his activities throughout the day and what he had for food etc

I cannot praise this nursery setting enough.
My daughter started here when she was 8 months old and is now almost 9 years old, which makes her by far the oldest attendee (afterschool club), but she does not want to go anywhere else. The staff are all so lovely, which is why my daughter is happy where
she is. The staff go above and beyond and will always try and accommodate wherever they can. It really is the most comforting feeling to know your child is happy with where they are and with the people you trust to leave them with

I am more than happy for my daughter to attend Pobl Bach four out of five days a week. She has been going there since she was 7 months old and as first time mum leaving her child for the first time at such a young age all of the staff especially the baby unit put my mind at ease and made me feel a part
of her day daily with all of the updates on the app.
My daughter is always happy going and doesn't even look back at me in the mornings as she's so excited to go in and be with the staff and her little friends.
I feel they know her well and treat her so well. They know when she's not quite her self and keep me update if i have any concerns in the morning.
She has come on so much with her speech and the way she has developed which is down the the excellent care and education they show her. She always come home well kept, looked after, happy and well fed!
I can't say anything negative or anything i would change as I'm so happy with her attending this nursery and couldn't ask for better.

My Son has been attending Pobl Bach since he was 9 months old. They are amazing with him and offer so many activities during the day. He really enjoys his time at nursery and has developed a good bond with staff. Staff are always friendly during pick up and drop offs. We also get detailed updates via
the app and at pick up. I am so happy we found a nursery that he has settled so well at and is thriving. I cannot thank the staff enough for all they do. Thank you Pobl Bach x

My son has been attending since September and struggled to begin with, the staff are absolutely lovely and have taken the time to allow him to adjust to the surroundings in a fun relaxed environment. He now loves going and smiles as soon as we get to the door and happily puts his arms out to staff.
Lorna, Sara-Jane and Jodie in particular has been brilliant with my son. We get frequent updates along with pictures which puts my mind at ease as I can see how much he's enjoying.

Our daughters attended Pobl Bach since 9 months old so around 3 years now, but moved to Johnstown from Llangunnor when she started part time school, We've received great care for our daughter at both sites, she thoroughly enjoys attending 4 days a week
Good meals, great activities daily and plenty
of feedback on her day and development
We feel mixing with the group here daily has prepared her a lot for school socially
Our daughter's a busy body but she's constantly coming home happy with stories.

So I cannot rate Pobl Bach, especially the Johnstown team, highly enough. Both of my children (2.5 years old and 7 month old) go to Pobl Bach. I simply could not provide the range activities which Pobl Bach does on a daily basis for my children. The staff are always warm, welcoming and professional
and take such wonderful care of my kids.
Their communication is quick and even their administration team is quick to respond.
They are a fantastic team whom I have full confidence in. Send your children here and you can go to work knowing that your kids are safe, engaged and having so much fun.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 40 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.943 for Pobl Bach Nursery (Johnstown) is calculated as follows: ( (457 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 477 Ratings = 4.943
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Pobl Bach Nursery (Johnstown) is based on 40 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 51 number of registered child places is 10.2, which has been reached with 40 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
