Our son is very well looked after here. Currently he is in Babies room, (1 of 4 rooms here) as they are grouped with similar ages/ability so they have the most appropriate care/toys/garden play areas. These different rooms each have there own individual conservatories and garden spaces.
We had a few trying months with our son's stomach issues, at no point have we felt we were a burden, asking for complete menus. We have been reassured that it’s no problem, whilst we were checking through for food allergies. (Turns out more of a teething issue). Food is made by a talented cook there, so lots of good home cooked food.
The diaries are brilliant, you know exactly when little one has pooped/slept/the amount of food eaten.
Staff are always friendly and approachable, with lots of time and cuddles for your little one.
One evening some music came on at home and our son started to wiggle his hips and wave his arms! We were so surprised! We hadn’t taught him to dance - one of the lovely ladies at nursery had!
The nursery is always spotlessly clean as are the children when they get picked up.
All members of staff are genuinely caring and very approachable.
The nursery itself is a purpose built building with excellent facilities that cater for children of all ages. I cannot recommend The Wendy House and all its staff highly enough.
Fantastic nursery. Staff very caring and my children are always smiling after they spend time there. The manager is a fantastic owner and is always on hand if we ever need anything.
They have recently had a new play area built for the children which they all love.
My husband and I couldn't be happier with the care our son received over the last 2 years. I was sad to see him leave to start school but the transition was seamless and I put this down tot he confidence he gained from going to The Wendy House. The outside space is brilliant and my son loved the chickens. The management and staff are all friendly and approachable and my son always talked about them at home.
Fantastic staff, setting, care and food.
My children have attended over the last 12 years and the quality of care has never faulted. The learning through play philosophy gives children, a priceless head start at school. I'd never recommend another. (And we love the chickens).
Plenty of outdoor space separated by age grade and frequent walks around the village and to the park provide the outdoor life and activities my boys need. No complaints or concerns at all. Thank you.
The Wendy House is an excellent nursery; staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Both my children are very happy here; my daughter has made many friends and is well prepared for moving on to primary school. My son was very shy, but being here has really helped him with his confidence, and he now settles happily in the mornings. Staff also keep up to date with pre-school learning methods and curricula, so the move to primary school is as easy as possible. Overall very happy to have such a great nursery in our locality!
Both in and outdoor facilities are very modern and clean. The menus provided offer a well varied, healthy diet. I can't thank all od the staff enough for the care they give to my little girl - I truly feel confident and at ease when leaving her to go to work.
Our son has been at The Wendy House since he was 10 months old. We cannot praise the staff highly enough as they have shown nothing but care for our child whilst he has been with them. On occasions where we have experienced any issues then our queries have been dealt with promptly and when we have provided feedback then this has been taken into consideration.
Personally, we cannot thank them enough for their contribution to our son's development, they have supported us in teaching him right from wrong and given him the opportunity to experience things that we as parents may not have been able to.
We will be sad to say our goodbyes later this year as our son starts school full time.
Both of my boys have attended nursery since they were 8 months old. It is never an easy decision to put your children into a childcare setting but I can honestly say that it is the best decision I have ever made. The Wendy House provides my boys with a home from home. The assistants all go above and beyond to provide my children with everything they need in my absence and they look forward to nursery every single day. The management are accommodating and supportive and make my life easier. The Wendy House is a beautiful nursery in an ideal location and I'm so happy that my boys have experienced what they have to offer. I can't recommend this service highly enough.
The menu and meal times are well thought out and healthy. I'm extremely happy that my daughter attends this nursery. I always recommend to new parents and hear good reviews from other parents who send their children here.
The daily reports in the children's diaries are wonderful as they are detailed.
I rate Wendy House very highly and thank them for looking after my children so well. They are happy!
The Wendy House has been part of our lives for the last 5 years, firstly with my son and now with my daughter. All of the staff are friendly and supportive. They take time to learn the names of family members and even teddy bears names. My daughter classes the staff as her friends and loves the adventures they go on and the daft songs they sing. The outdoor space is brilliant and they use it most days. My daughter also loves helping to look after the chickens.
Both my daughters currently attend The Wendy House and have done since they were 10 months old, my eldest is now three and a half. I have never had any worries or complaints and feel they are completely safe and well cared for when I drop them off. All the staff are very friendly and welcome the children each morning, encouraging those who need it. The children in all rooms from babies up to red group are given a brilliant variety of activities and they have chance to take part in fun, messy, creative stuff that teaches, encourages and inspires them! I like that the children spend a lot of time outdoors in the gardens or going for a walk. As well as busy activities there is also opportunities for the children to relax if they need to in quiet areas with books and blankets. The staff at the Wendy house are fantastic to my girls and I dread the time coming for them to leave.
My son is two years old and has been going to The Wendy House three days per week since he was 11 months old. He settled in really well with the help of the fantastic staff who all deserve recognition of how brilliant they are. I wouldn't put him in any other nursery and I don't have a bad thing to say about the place. He has great fun every day that he is there and I am reassured in the knowledge that he is in very very safe hands. My other son will be attending the nursery once I return to work following maternity leave.
My son has been attending at this nursery for almost two years. During that time he has really progressed in all areas. The setting of the nursery is in a lovely, quiet countryside location set back away from the road. The staff are all professional, helpful, kind and friendly. The nursery has a varied menu for breakfast/lunch/dinner which is all homemade healthy food. A daybook/diary is filled in at the end of each day so you know exactly what your child has been playing with doing/eating/drinking. I would highly recommend this nursery and have peace of mind that my son is safe and well whilst at nursery.
They greet her every morning with a cheerful smile and at the end of the day I arrive to pick up a happy (but exhausted) little one who has clearly had a lovely day.
The food is varied, fresh and healthy and my child always comes home clean. The level of information we receive in the daily handover at the end of the day is of a very high standard. Very highly recommended - excellent staff. Well done.
Both of my girls have settled quickly at the The Wendy House. The staff are lovely, friendly, approachable and caring. Rooms are well furnished and a range of activities offered to stimulate and develop learning. As a teacher I am all too aware of the impact all of these activities are having on my girls and am so thankful that I chose The Wendy House. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Wendy House and I already feel sad at the thought of leaving once both girls are in school!
My son attends the Wendy House full time. He started at 6 months and the team took every care to ensure he felt safe and secure as her started. The nursery team care for my son as an individual and provide me with a good understanding of how his day has been. They are always positive with him and he seems settled and happy there. He also had allergies which I know they take seriously and manage in my absence.
