I am so happy that I chose Southfield for my little boy. We’ve been made to feel so welcome here and he absolutely loves the manager and her lovely team. He has learnt so much since starting nursery and I am so grateful for all of the love and kindness they have shown him over the last year.
The team
that look after him in the baby room are amazing, he’s learnt so many valuable skills and I know he feels so happy and loved here. It’s a joy to see the Tapestry photos of the fantastic time he has. He has so much fun but is learning so much at the same time. I can’t thank you all enough for everything you do for us!

I think Southfield Day Nursery is excellent and have had no problems what so ever. I previously had my little girl in another nursery and I am so pleased I decided to move her to Southfield! I like the daily updates you get about what they have done/eaten/nappies and sleep time as well as the Tapestry
app showing regular photos of the activities they have done. The outdoor garden area is so lovely and much bigger than other nurseries I have seen, it is also very secure for getting in and out.

Lovely friendly staff, homely environment and a great garden. My daughter has been going since she was 9 months old. She loves going to nursery and always comes out happy which is all I can ask for.

Southfield Day Nursery provides fantastic care and learning for my child. It’s hard to take the step to choosing a nursery for your little one, but Southfield made the process so easy and I trusted them immediately.
I was recommended the nursery by a friend and I have recommended it to 2 other friends.
We all have our children in the nursery now, some in separate rooms and I have never heard anything but positive comments about all aspects of the nursery. My child has come on leaps and bounds in the year and a half she has attended and she looks forward to attending!
The staff maintain great communication with parents and I am very grateful for every one of them!

Southfield Day Nursery is a fantastic nursery for children. Everyone there is so polite and nice. My son has come on in leaps and bounds since starting. He has built some brilliant relationships with some of the carers.
The only bad thing I have to say about them is they're not very good with wiping
my son's nose when he has a cold.

My son has been at this nursery since he was 4 months old and is now nearly 4. I cannot fault this nursery as all of the staff are lovely and extremely helpful in every way. In my opinion, my son has taken part in a lot of lovely activities from which I have gained lots of keepsakes. I would highly
recommend this nursery to anyone as they really do care about each and every child.

Both children have attended Southfield Day Nursery and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending to friends or other parents looking for a safe, home from home environment. The staff are extremely caring and professional and go out of their way to make sure that children are settled and happy in their care.
As parents, we have been very happy with the care provided and working full-time. It has been a blessing to find such a lovely nursery with great staff who look after the children as if they were their own.

The nursery team are very friendly and welcoming and make it home from home for our daughter.
My daughter loves time at nursery and always talks very fondly about her carers.
Very accommodating nursery and happy to help out at short notice.

My little boy started this nursery in January and all of the staff have been nothing but welcoming towards both of us!
The nursery is homely and set up very well with security, they also have a brilliant large garden.
My little one has been very happy to come to nursery and by the looks of his tapestry
which is always up to date, he loves his time here.

Lizzie Dickson

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2024

I joined Kids Planet Southfield in January 2024 as a Nursery Manager. I have over 24 years of experience working within the Early Years sector, I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education.


Along with my dedicated team, our aim at KP Southfield is to provide a happy and caring environment, giving respectful care to each child. To create a warm, secure setting where a child feels loved and enabled to develop confidence and independence within him/herself.


Outside of nursery, I love nothing more than spending time with my own little girl.

I have worked in the Early Years Sector for over 16 years, I have been at KP Southfield for 6 years and thoroughly enjoy my time here.


I have a BA Hons in Children and Young People, I am the nursery SENCO - completing my Level 3 last year. I also hold a level 3 in Beach School Leader.
