I love this nursery and have no concerns at all when I drop my son off. He is stimulated throughout the day with a variety of activities and the staff are brilliant. He often comes home talking about what he's done with staff and his friends and really enjoys his day. He started as a fresh 1-year-old
in baby and moved through the rooms without issue. The menu is amazing and the nursery caters for allergies as well which is a great bonus. They also do stay and plays at key times of the year which is great. I would definitely recommend this nursery as it's really put my mind at ease and I know my son's in the best hands.

Our little one has been attending Kids Planet Southfield since January 2023 when she was 11 months old. We have had an amazing experience with all members of staff; our little one loves coming in every day and we feel confident that her needs are well met whilst we are busy with our days. Initially
she did struggle to settle in, as to be expected, but staff were mindful of this and did everything they could to make nursery life as similar as possible to home life (naps, food, milk etc.). Staff have been accommodating right the way through as she has transitioned to new rooms - with clear transition plans in place, staff building up great relationships and clearly caring about each child. The children spend lots of time outside and our little one loves telling us about her trips away from nursery (to the park, or getting the bus back from the shops). She is encouraged to make new friends, build on her current skills, and she grows in confidence every day.

My son had been going here since the nursery was part of another group. Staff worked really hard to work out his allergies. We had some issues but the manager worked with us on this.
When Kids Planet took over everything went downhill rapidly. Management was very poor and it was always the room staff
who were blamed. At one point the manager administered the wrong medication and made a member of room staff call to apologise, even though it wasn't her fault.
In the summer some staff just leave the children in the garden with, what appears to be, no kind of organised stimulation which would often result in my son and others getting frustrated with one another and hitting out.
Complete disregard for Disability Discrimination Act around known medical conditions. The manager is completely unaware of what was going on in the rooms, including lack of supervision/intimate care.
It's a shame as lots of the staff are just wonderful, they don't seem to be treated well either.

Both of my children have been attending Kids Planet Southfield since September 2022 with my eldest going straight into pre-school and my youngest working his way up from the baby room. Throughout this time my children have grown so much in confidence and have developed strong bonds with both the staff
who work there and the other children. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming that it feels like a little family there. I am so happy that I chose this nursery for both of my children and I know that my daughter will miss going there every week once she leaves to start school in September.

I found Kids Planet Southfield after visiting what felt like every nursery in the area, and upon my first visit, I knew it was the nursery I wanted my son to go to. The facility and layout are just perfect for little people exploring the world.
The staff are an absolute credit. Like most parents,
I really struggled with leaving my son but the staff at Kids Planet Southfield, especially the staff in the baby room, reassured me every step of the way. They didn't make me feel silly or overprotective, they just got it.
As for my son, he loves it! He loves all the different activities, sensory play and meal times! The highlights of my day are the photo updates that I received on the app. It's amazing seeing that he's having so much fun and is safe. After just a short time, my son has built strong bonds with his Baby room staff and his development is just amazing. Something new every day!

My son has attended Kids Planet Soutfiled for one and a half years, he started as a baby, progressed to Tots and has just started in Toddlers. The care he receives from the friendly team is amazing; they are attentive and caring. The setting is lovely and I feel it is very safe and secure. Every member
of staff that you pass on your way in and out welcomes my son into the nursery. He has grown in confidence and has gained so much independence. This nursery sticks to the routine agreed for my son, especially when he was a baby with regards to naps and feeding. This ensured a smooth transition from home to nursery environment. My son takes part in many creative activities, story time and outdoor play. Activities are both fun and educational e.g. learning colours or numbers through play and songs.
I love the updates on the app, and knowing what fun things he has been doing as well as seeing the good variety of food he has during his day. The menu and variety here are really good.

Fantastic nursery. All the staff are so lovely and friendly and excellent at their job. My son has settled very quickly there and I trust that he is well looked after as the care they provide is second to none. My child has come on leaps and bounds after only attending a short while!

My baby daughter has been going to Kids Planet Southfield since June. She has always came home full of smiles, and updates on the app are regular. I can tell the girls who work there all love my daughter and treat her with respect. I feel that my daughter is in a safe and secure building as security
on the gates and doors are always maintained! Staff are always giving me great advice when asked. They always try to stick to routine and when I mention we are trying things at home they always ensure to do it at nursery also. The activities I have seen via the app that they do throughout the day are always adventurous and creative! My daughter has a milk allergy and they always ensure they follow her dietary needs. Whenever I have any queries, I always email the enquiries email and I get a fast response. I always would recommend Kids Planet Southfield! I couldn’t thank the team enough!

Choosing a nursery was daunting. I had visited a few nurseries before I decided to choose Kids Planet. The deciding factors were the staff, facilities and location and I would say the price is fair too. When my son sees his key worker, his face lights up, they clearly have a great relationship. All
the staff are lovely. The nursery has an app with restricted access where I can access pictures of my son playing throughout the day while I am at work. They document on the app when he naps, nappy changes, meals (compliments to the chef), and achievements. They are also very good at spotting when he is unwell. I had to write a review today because last night my son was in such a good mood after being at nursery all day, he clearly had a great day at nursery. It took a few months for him to settle in. He literally went to bed giggling. It's a credit to the nursery. He was excited to go to the nursery and was very happy when my husband picked him up. I am so pleased we chose Kids Planet.

I would highly recommend Southfield Nursery. Since my 2-year-old started in January he has come on leaps and bounds and the staff are lovely!
My son has delayed speech but every time he comes home from nursery we are getting more and more from him, and he loves it there.
A special thank you to the
manager and her staff who have been there from day 1 and have really helped us settle in. I feel really comfortable leaving my son there (which is a rarity for me) and they are always available on email and over the phone if you need anything.
Huge shout out to the cook as well, she's so great and the kids get fed so well!
I'm so pleased we found Southfield.

All staff are really welcoming and comforting and myself and my partner would 100% recommend the nursery to anyone who needs childcare. Both of our children (daughter 3 years old and son 17 months old) have attended Southfield from 10 months old. We chose this nursery as it instantly felt safe and like a home from home. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our children love attending, love all of the daily activities and have
a bond with all of the lovely staff there. Our daughter has additional needs - thanks to the nursery this was picked up quickly and referrals were made for early intervention. We will forever be grateful for this as our daughter has all the extra help/support in place that she needs.

My son has been attending the nursery since late April. He started the nursery at just under 7 months old, and he has had an amazing experience so far (as have we). The staff in the baby room have been nothing but helpful and have created such a wonderful bond with him. It was such a daunting experience
leaving him with someone new, especially at such a young age, but the staff and the whole nursery team have been nothing but fantastic. Myself and my wife always get thorough handovers about his day, and he always comes out with a huge smile on his face. The food provided sounds amazing, and my son always clears his plate. The outdoor area is like no other nursery we had visited. Would highly recommend Southfield to anyone looking for a homely nursery setting.

My little boy has been going to Southfield for almost a year now; he started when he was 8.5-months-old and has genuinely loved every day he has spent there. He has so much fun doing the brilliant activities they organise every day, and we can see how much this has helped his confidence, development
and speech. The staff are fantastic, incredibly friendly and caring, and I feel very safe leaving my child with them every day. We have lots of communication with the nursery and are kept up to date with everything our little boy has done that day, including nappies, meals, activities, bottles etc. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Southfield to any other parent.

I can’t speak highly enough of this nursery and all of the staff. I have seen my son completely transform, develop and progress since attending. The time he spends at the nursery is both educational and fun, with a variety of activities and games. They also recognise and celebrate special traditions,
such as Christmas parties, Easter egg decorating competitions, Chinese New Year, and world book day, which all make special memories for children. There is a fantastic variety of food all freshly cooked. The staff are all very friendly and approachable, whilst remaining professional. I cannot recommend this nursery enough to anyone thinking of sending their child.

I joined Kids Planet Southfield in January 2024 as a Nursery Manager. I have over 24 years of experience working within the Early Years sector, I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education.


Along with my dedicated team, our aim at KP Southfield is to provide a happy and caring environment, giving respectful care to each child. To create a warm, secure setting where a child feels loved and enabled to develop confidence and independence within him/herself.


Outside of nursery, I love nothing more than spending time with my own little girl.
