Kids Planet Southfield

Our little girl started going to this nursery when she had just turned 2. Our daughter had never been away from us and was a very reserved little girl. We were so nervous about her starting nursery but it was the best decision we ever made. The settling-in process was adapted to suit the needs of our daughter and we were able to attend settling-in sessions with her to ensure she felt comfortable before we left her. She was supported very well by her key worker and the staff in her room. Her confidence has grown massively in the 6 months she has been going to nursery here, she is like a completely different little girl. She is so excited each morning to go to nursery and runs in happily without looking back. She has built a lovely bond with all of the staff and enjoys every minute of her time at nursery. We are so pleased with the nursery that we have now applied for our son to start in April and we can't wait for them to both be going here! We would highly recommend this nursery.

I love this nursery and have no concerns at all when I drop my son off. He is stimulated throughout the day with a variety of activities and the staff are brilliant. He often comes home talking about what he's done with staff and his friends and really enjoys his day. He started as a fresh 1-year-old in baby and moved through the rooms without issue. The menu is amazing and the nursery caters for allergies as well which is a great bonus. They also do stay and plays at key times of the year which is great. I would definitely recommend this nursery as it's really put my mind at ease and I know my son's in the best hands.

Our little one has been attending Kids Planet Southfield since January 2023 when she was 11 months old. We have had an amazing experience with all members of staff; our little one loves coming in every day and we feel confident that her needs are well met whilst we are busy with our days. Initially she did struggle to settle in, as to be expected, but staff were mindful of this and did everything they could to make nursery life as similar as possible to home life (naps, food, milk etc.). Staff have been accommodating right the way through as she has transitioned to new rooms - with clear transition plans in place, staff building up great relationships and clearly caring about each child. The children spend lots of time outside and our little one loves telling us about her trips away from nursery (to the park, or getting the bus back from the shops). She is encouraged to make new friends, build on her current skills, and she grows in confidence every day.

It's a shame as lots of the staff are just wonderful, they don't seem to be treated well either.

Both of my children have been attending Kids Planet Southfield since September 2022 with my eldest going straight into pre-school and my youngest working his way up from the baby room. Throughout this time my children have grown so much in confidence and have developed strong bonds with both the staff who work there and the other children. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming that it feels like a little family there. I am so happy that I chose this nursery for both of my children and I know that my daughter will miss going there every week once she leaves to start school in September.

I love the updates on the app, and knowing what fun things he has been doing as well as seeing the good variety of food he has during his day. The menu and variety here are really good.

Fantastic nursery. All the staff are so lovely and friendly and excellent at their job. My son has settled very quickly there and I trust that he is well looked after as the care they provide is second to none. My child has come on leaps and bounds after only attending a short while!

My baby daughter has been going to Kids Planet Southfield since June. She has always came home full of smiles, and updates on the app are regular. I can tell the girls who work there all love my daughter and treat her with respect. I feel that my daughter is in a safe and secure building as security on the gates and doors are always maintained! Staff are always giving me great advice when asked. They always try to stick to routine and when I mention we are trying things at home they always ensure to do it at nursery also. The activities I have seen via the app that they do throughout the day are always adventurous and creative! My daughter has a milk allergy and they always ensure they follow her dietary needs. Whenever I have any queries, I always email the enquiries email and I get a fast response. I always would recommend Kids Planet Southfield! I couldn’t thank the team enough!

Choosing a nursery was daunting. I had visited a few nurseries before I decided to choose Kids Planet. The deciding factors were the staff, facilities and location and I would say the price is fair too. When my son sees his key worker, his face lights up, they clearly have a great relationship. All the staff are lovely. The nursery has an app with restricted access where I can access pictures of my son playing throughout the day while I am at work. They document on the app when he naps, nappy changes, meals (compliments to the chef), and achievements. They are also very good at spotting when he is unwell. I had to write a review today because last night my son was in such a good mood after being at nursery all day, he clearly had a great day at nursery. It took a few months for him to settle in. He literally went to bed giggling. It's a credit to the nursery. He was excited to go to the nursery and was very happy when my husband picked him up. I am so pleased we chose Kids Planet.

I'm so pleased we found Southfield.

All staff are really welcoming and comforting and myself and my partner would 100% recommend the nursery to anyone who needs childcare. We have witnessed a vast improvement in our son's ability from starting nursery and this is very pleasing to see, as parents. He also loves his dinner from the chef too.

My son goes to this nursery and has such a good day. Only been there a month and would trust the girls with his life. He’s come on so much and learnt so much, even being so young. Would recommend the nursery to anyone who asks for a good nursery.

Grandson loves attending nursery. Great range of activities including outdoor play. Staff are caring and take great interest in children. Grandson really enjoys the food served and makes a beeline to his high chair as soon as he arrives. I have high confidence in him being well looked after when in nursery. Also appreciate the regular notifications and photographs supplied via the app. Good job everyone.

Fantastic nursery with friendly staff who are great with my two little boys. They have been fantastic, with potty training them and doing a range of different activities daily. They do a lot of outside play too, which is great.

Amazing staff who helped my daughter through her most difficult time, the time and effort from all the girls has been greatly appreciated. My daughter was well looked after, she progressed beyond what was expected and they caring and calm environment helped with her anxiety.

Both of our children (daughter 3 years old and son 17 months old) have attended Southfield from 10 months old. We chose this nursery as it instantly felt safe and like a home from home. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our children love attending, love all of the daily activities and have a bond with all of the lovely staff there. Our daughter has additional needs - thanks to the nursery this was picked up quickly and referrals were made for early intervention. We will forever be grateful for this as our daughter has all the extra help/support in place that she needs.

All the staff are really caring and kind. My child has really come on attending nursery and has been provided with care/learning which is suited to him. The meals he is given are good home cooked meals which has made him a less fussy eater.

My son has been attending the nursery since late April. He started the nursery at just under 7 months old, and he has had an amazing experience so far (as have we). The staff in the baby room have been nothing but helpful and have created such a wonderful bond with him. It was such a daunting experience leaving him with someone new, especially at such a young age, but the staff and the whole nursery team have been nothing but fantastic. Myself and my wife always get thorough handovers about his day, and he always comes out with a huge smile on his face. The food provided sounds amazing, and my son always clears his plate. The outdoor area is like no other nursery we had visited. Would highly recommend Southfield to anyone looking for a homely nursery setting.

My little boy has been going to Southfield for almost a year now; he started when he was 8.5-months-old and has genuinely loved every day he has spent there. He has so much fun doing the brilliant activities they organise every day, and we can see how much this has helped his confidence, development and speech. The staff are fantastic, incredibly friendly and caring, and I feel very safe leaving my child with them every day. We have lots of communication with the nursery and are kept up to date with everything our little boy has done that day, including nappies, meals, activities, bottles etc. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Southfield to any other parent.
