We have been very happy with Shotley Bridge Nursery School since my son started in January of this year. He loves going there and is often getting stuck into different activities on each visit. They spend as much time outside as possible which is a big positive as well. It seems to be a safe environment in which he has grown a lot over the last few months. The ladies who work there are all super friendly, and the updates they provide on the app every day are great.

Our son loves his days at nursery. Our older son was also there for 4 years and we have absolute confidence in the staff to care for our children. The staff really seem to care about the welfare and development of the children in their care, and our older son who's now at school still gets a lovely welcome from the staff when her returns to pick up his brother. We will be sad when it's time for us to leave when our younger son goes off to school.

I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone considering it.

My daughter has been going to Shotley Bridge Nursery since I went back to work at 9 months. She settled in so quickly and all the nursery nurseries have been amazing with her, making her feel comfortable and ensuring her every need is catered for. They have done so much for her development and actively seek opportunities to support the family with anything they need. For example, they request at least one area that they can work on collaboratively with us such as potty training or brushing teeth independently. My daughter's development has been 10x better because of Shotley and I can't thank the nursery nurses enough for all their help. My daughter loves it so much she actually cries if you pick her up too soon! Worth every penny and more.

Great communication from staff. My daughter has loved coming to nursery since she started at 11 months old. Fantastic handling of big emotions and child development in all areas. The app really makes me feel up to date with this and her day to day activities. My second child is already signed up to start next year.

From day one everyone has been so fantastic-all the staff are so friendly and totally understand how nerve wracking it can be for a parent, especially if it's your first child. I cannot thank them enough for making such a nerve wracking step so much easier. All the staff take the time to really get to know each child, and there is such a lovely, calm atmosphere in all the rooms and you can tell that the children all feel relaxed and really enjoy being there.

Fantastic staff, always very friendly and attentive to the needs of our little boy. They couldn’t do more to bring him on with his educational needs and they provide an exceptionally good diet.

So happy I choose this nursery for my child. My child has been attending this nursery since they were 10 months old and it’s the best thing I ever did for them. The nursery does so much with them every day, things I couldn’t dream up in a million years. My child speaks about some of the staff members and wants to go to nursery just to see them. They’ve made some little friends and I believe it has set them up perfectly for when they start school. Can’t recommend this nursery enough.

I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. This is due to the staff being friendly and professional. My child always receives one to one attention from the teachers as well as participating in group activities. I like how we are kept up to date as to how my child’s day has gone via the ParentZone. This is particularly helpful due to my child being a fussy eater. Since my child has been in nursery I have seen a difference in his development. Especially around his speech. The teachers have developed their own plans to help him with this. I like the level of security. I feel my child is safe and not anyone can pick him up. Therefore due to the above and varied activities my child loves going to nursery and will run in. Therefore I live the nursery.

An excellent nursery in many contexts. Quite pricey compared to others in the local area although it does have a higher standard to match the price tag. Outside area is well equipped but wish it had a grassy area. Staff and facilities are excellent and it’s great getting updates about my child’s day on ParentZone. The best nursery in Consett by far! (And I checked them all)

My Son has come on leaps and bounds under the care of Shotley Bridge Nursery. The staff are all extremely competent and professional with a very friendly attitude. The facilities at the nursery are excellent and all the children seem to be very happy and enjoying themselves whenever I have visited. The property is very clean and secure and the safety of the kids appears to be of top priority with a secure entry system in place and strict rules applied. There is a very nice playground area with plenty of equipment and toys to amuse the kids. The food served is always to a good standard.

Fabulous nursery and staff. My little boy started nursery when he was 14 months old and he cried when I left him (as did I) however over the following couple of weeks the staff really supported my son and I and now my son just walks in and waves bye. It reassures me when I know he is happy in a safe and stimulating environment.

My son loves Shotley Bridge Nursery School. I would definitely recommend this nursery, everyone is so welcoming when you go in. My son has a great time here.

Our children have been to previous nurseries and I thought these very good but Shotley just excellent. Really good balance between it being professional but really warm. All staff lovely and they really care about what they do and go the extra mile with events.

Very good, my child really enjoyed coming to nursery and gets very excited every time, I love the parent zone updates and look forward as these come through.

When it comes time for my son to leave we will miss all of the lovely staff. My son has had such a wonderful time and the nursery will always remain very special to us.

I continue to be extremely impressed by Shotley Bridge Nursery School. Both my children have attended (my first started when the nursery was at its former premises) and I currently have one child in the preschool Bridges room. The staff are absolutely lovely. They are friendly, caring, dedicated, approachable and forward-thinking. The premises are modern, clean, comfortable and allow the children to engage with the staff and each other in a myriad of different ways. There is opportunity for additional learning and skills development with language and sports classes and frequent opportunities for parents to be involved in the evolution of the nursery. My husband and I are extremely happy to recommend Shotley Bridge Nursery School.

My experience with Shotley Bridge Nursery overall has been excellent. I'm pleased with the safeguarding they provide for with all of the children, and all of the staff and management could not be any better than they already are.
