Located just two minutes off the junction of the A1 and A690 in Durham, Clever Clogs Belmont provides 96 nursery childcare places for 0-5 year olds and 26 out of school places, including before and after-school and holiday clubs, for schoolchildren up to the age of 11.

Nursery care is provided in spacious rooms designed to complement the various stages of the Early Years Foundation Stage, with children progressing from room to room as they develop their learning.

My granddaughter attends Clever Clogs two days a week, and I look after her two days. I have noticed how more confident she is and how much she is developing since she started nursery. She loves her nursery rhymes, and it is lovely to see her do the actions with me, which she clearly learns at nursery.
I follow Clever Clogs on Facebook and love to see her playing with her friends and having fun. The staff are lovely too.

My granddaughter has attended Clever Clogs Nursery before she turned one. She started in the Little Hedeghogs room and is now in the Little Squirrel's room. The staff are lovely, friendly and very welcoming, and this makes me and my family feel at ease when we leave her at nursery each week. The nursery
environment looks inviting and visual, and we love to see her getting involved in a range of everyday activities through Facebook where she always looks happy, busy and focused.

Clever Clogs Day Nursery is such a fantastic nursery, the staff work really hard and are always happy to help.
I have on several occasions needed last-minute childcare and they have always tried their best to accommodate. In spite of the pandemic, staff have always been welcoming and put the children
first.
My child loves it here and has formed really special bonds with both staff and other children. He is coming on in leaps and bounds, singing number songs and telling me things I can’t believe he understands. He is challenged to learn and grow but sees it all as playing which for me is perfect.
I would definitely recommend Clever Clogs Belmont.

My boy has been going since 6-months-old. He has gained some strong relationships.
His key worker at the moment is amazing. She massively helped with potty training and he is doing fantastic.
Overall, a fantastic nursery with fantastic staff from 6-months to 3-years, when he turned 3 there was no
question whether he would stay in pre-school nursery. I wouldn't want him anywhere else.

Our daughter has attended Clever Clogs Nursery since 6 months old and is turning 2 in July 2021.
Honestly, even though this is the only nursery she has attended I don't think that, as parents, we could have chosen better. The staff are amazing, so friendly and attentive but not only that she has developed
so much beyond her age and I definitely need to give credit to the amazing staff here. Simple things as her saying words I know haven't come across at home, actions to nursery rhymes (bad mama moment I don't really know them).
Look forward to seeing her future progress.

The staff are very accommodating and have always built great relationships with the children. I have been impressed with the phonics program in preschool, it has really helped my daughter learn her sounds and she has loved it.

Initially, Clever Clogs Day Nursery (Belmont) was recommended by two different people. I knew instantly on my first visit that I didn't need to see another nursery. My son has been going full time since age one and is now in preschool.The staff here are absolutely exceptional and I just can't fault
them for everything they do for the children. During Covid-19 they've gone above and beyond. My son's learning and social development has been incredible and he has formed strong bonds with the staff in each room. I've had no hesitation in recommending the nursery to friends and colleagues and I have complete peace of mind that he's looked after in the same way he would be at home, only having far more fun as so much is crammed into each day. The only challenge is that he doesn't want to leave here to go to school in September.

My little boy has attended Clever Clogs Day Nursery (Belmont) for the last two and a half years and we can’t fault anything about the nursery. The facilities are excellent and the staff have been absolutely amazing. My son was very wary about leaving us when he first started but very soon started to
love going to nursery and this is owing to the excellent care of the staff. He is very happy there, looks forward to going and is learning so much in the preschool group.

My child joined the nursery recently in the baby room and settled in straight away. This is because of the wonderful staff at Clever Clogs Day Nursery (Belmont). The staff are gentle, kind, loving and my child really responds well to them. She is happy when she is dropped off and always smiling when
we collect her. I love to read and hear about all the engaging activities they do on a day to day basis and I can see the emotional and physical development in my little girl from this. There is no problem too big or too small, the staff are happy to help, listen and make any changes to a routine that we ask. The building is bright, clean and welcoming. There are lots of creative things for the children to do, the gardens are great and they bring the outdoors in, which we love. Overall, we couldn’t be happier that we placed our child in the care of this nursery. It is fantastic.

My daughter has been attending Clever Clogs since she was one and is now nearly three. She loves going in and literally runs in the door with a smile on her face! They have been incredibly supportive with identifying further needs she had, putting plans in place and seeking extra funding from the council
to support her development. Throughout Covid-19 they stayed open and continued to support my little one with anything and everything they possibly could. I cannot find fault with them, I happily and confidently leave my child with them any day.

My daughter has been going for approximately 2 years, she took a long time to settle at drop offs and cried loads but the staff were always happy to talk to me and accommodate any ideas I had about helping her settle including supplying me with a photo book of staff so we could talk and make up stories
about going to nursery.

After a friends’ recommendation for a nursery for our 11-month-old, we are so happy with our nursery choice. Our daughter has seamlessly settled into Clever Clogs Day Nursery without a backward glance due to the wonderful care she is given by staff. We are greeted with smiles and get daily updates from
staff. They go above and beyond to care for the children, providing exciting and seasonal activities. The Facebook page is updated daily, which is great to see what is going on in the nursery and to see what the Stars of the Week have achieved. I trust the staff and thank them for all they have done working so hard during Covid-19 to keep children and staff safe. The wrap-around care is a huge benefit that allows me to go back to work full time.

I'm very proud when I say my children are and have attended Clever Clogs Day Nursery, it's such a fantastic childcare setting. My eldest attended for three years so when it was time for my youngest to start nursery, there was no doubt where I wanted to put her name down for! The staff are friendly,
caring and patient. They're always preparing fun and engaging activities to stimulate learning and development. We have been using this nursery for our children for over four years and are delighted with the quality of care offered on all levels. I have recommended to friends. My children have thrived there. Whenever there has been any problems they have been dealt with quickly and not recurred. I feel safe leaving

Nicole has been with us for almost two years, she started as a practitioner in our Clever Thinkers room and was recently promoted to Senior room leader in September. She has a Level Three in childcare and has been working with children for the last 10 years. She has a passion for teaching and providing children with the relevant life skills they need before they go to school. Nicole loves to provide loose parts play opportunities and implement child-led risk-taking.
