Located just two minutes off the junction of the A1 and A690 in Durham, Clever Clogs Belmont provides 96 nursery childcare places for 0-5 year olds and 26 out of school places, including before and after-school and holiday clubs, for schoolchildren up to the age of 11.

Nursery care is provided in spacious rooms designed to complement the various stages of the Early Years Foundation Stage, with children progressing from room to room as they develop their learning.

My daughter has been at the nursery for a few months now and receives such fantastic care and support from everyone at the nursery.
My daughter tells me on a daily basis how much she enjoys nursery which makes me happy and lucky that I have found a wonderful environment for my daughter. I would highly

Outstanding nursery.
Brilliant at keeping in touch with you when things are needed for your children.
Always comes out happy and made a lot of friends.
They take time with children and they learn so many new things.

My daughter loves going to Clever Clogs Day Nursery! The staff are brilliant and have made me feel at ease with leaving her there. The number of activities they do with the children is amazing and keeps them engaged whilst also learning. I couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery.

My son attended nursery only for a short time but I was very impressed with our overall experience. The staff were amazing, the facilities were good and they were very accommodating to his food allergies and intolerances. I have recommended to other parents many times!

Was looking for a nursery for my 3-year-old daughter that was closer to work. I had an initial look around with the manager and was very pleased with what I saw and the professionalism shown by the staff.
My daughter is very happy there, which is a great relief to me and my wife. We feel we made the

My son started Clever Clogs Day Nursery at the beginning of the year once I returned to work. He has settled in really well and I can see attending nursery is having a positive impact on his development. Staff have encouraged and supported him, enabling him to settle in quickly.
The food provided
is a good variety and is never turned down by my son!
As a first-time mam, I have felt anxious about leaving him in the care of others however the staff in Little Hedgehogs are fantastic. They put my mind at ease and I love the updates when I collect him on an evening.
I couldn't fault the care he has received, so thank you!

My child is going through some separation anxiety and the staff at Clever Clogs Day Nursery really made me feel at ease with the handovers. I feel comfortable knowing that my son is going to thrive and feel at ease over time and I like how thorough they are with meal times, nappy changes etc.

Both my children have been coming to Clever Cloggs for 6 years. Every time we speak to any member of staff they always take the time to update us on how the children are. I particularly like the regular updates of the rooms and the individual progress reports. Thanks again!

Since my little boy started Clever Clogs in November his confidence has grown so much. The girls in every room are welcoming on a morning and are always so happy. Feedback at the end of the day is always in-depth about what they have been up to throughout the day as well as providing daily posts and
development updates on the app. The ladies in the office are always happy to help when needed. The building itself is fully accessible, making it easier for my husband who is in a wheelchair to collect our children. My little one absolutely loves all the girls and has created strong bonds with the girls who look after him in his room. My older son attends the nursery's fun club. He started at the Christmas holidays and ever since has asked when he can go back as he loved it and said it was so much fun. I didn't expect updates with him just being in holiday club, however, they also send updates on the app of what they have been up to. He is super excited to go again for February half-term.

My eldest child attended the nursery and my youngest still attends. I am very happy with the service received. From the management to the room staff everything has been exceptional. They are very caring and give me peace of mind when my children are at nursery. I would recommend Clever Clogs Belmont

I cannot recommend Clever Clogs Belmont enough given how much my son has flourished over the last three years. From settling in and feeling comfortable with staff members straight away at 9 months, to him now being fully supported during potty training and early years development. Communication from
the nursery is always proactive and thorough, and my son loves attending, often running through the door. Thank you again.

My child has recently started Clever Clogs Nusery and I have see such improvement with his development of speech and interaction with others.

My grandchildren have not attended the nursery for long, after changing childcare. The staff have been excellent, couldn’t have made the transition any easier, the staff are always welcoming and smiling and you can see that they’re passionate about the roles, they allow the children to express themselves
and develop for their age. The rooms are age-appropriate and clean and lots of activities for the children. My grandchildren are always happy going in and when being picked up. I think the nursery is good value for what you pay and you can see the staff and management make the nursery a nice environment. Excellent nursery for any child to attend.

My child has attended fun club during the holidays and what a great club this is for the children. There are some great activities daily and the staff are amazing.

My daughter started the nursery in February 2023. From the initial visit to the nursery I was put at ease by the staff members, they really have a good understanding of child development and how you can support your children at home.
The garden is lovely and my daughter has had lots of fun playing
in the mud kitchen and the forest school outdoor area.
Nothing is ever an issue for the management or staff.
A home away from home for my daughter and the rest of the family.

Nicole has been with us for almost two years, she started as a practitioner in our Clever Thinkers room and was recently promoted to Senior room leader in September. She has a Level Three in childcare and has been working with children for the last 10 years. She has a passion for teaching and providing children with the relevant life skills they need before they go to school. Nicole loves to provide loose parts play opportunities and implement child-led risk-taking.
