Yellow Wellies Day Nursery

I couldn’t be happier that we chose Yellow Wellies to look after our baby! I had major reservations about leaving my baby after maternity leave, but seeing how well my baby has been cared for and how she is valued has shown me my fears were unfounded. The building is lovely, the toys and facilities in each room are great, it’s very clean, and the rooms are bright and airy. The building is filled with laughter all day, and that tells you everything you need to know. The staff are outstanding. So welcoming, friendly and caring - people who were born to do the job they are doing. They got to know my baby very quickly and helped her settle immediately so that even from day one, she didn’t mind me leaving and wasn’t even bothered when I came to collect her. She’s so happy. Communication is excellent, and I get a thorough debrief at the end of each day. We truly feel part of the Yellow Wellies family, and they are now part of ours.

I can honestly say, that the recommendation we received was 100% accurate, Yellow Wellies is an absolutely fantastic place for our little one to be, while we are at work!

When my daughter first started, she was shy and timid and never really played with other kids much due to lockdowns, and now she is as bright as a button, always eager to be in to see her friends (staff included!), and she will greatly miss being a part of the Yellow Wellies family.

Fantastic nursery and staff who go above and beyond, they really make the place special. My grandson has been here from 9 months to 4 years and has loved his time here. Always friendly and welcoming. I'm sad he's leaving for school!

My child has attended Yellow Wellies for the past two years and has loved every day. My child asks before bed - “do I have school in the morning“, they didn’t go every day, so you know when your child is happy somewhere when they really look forward to going in. I hope they are just as happy at the new school as here. Going to miss the team at Yellow Wellies.

Both my children attend this nursery and have done from a young age and I couldn’t be happier with how both my children have come on with the help from the staff. Both children are always happy to be going to the nursery and to see the staff and engage with both staff and other children in the nursery. Both of my children have very good bonds with the members of staff which makes me feel a lot more at ease leaving my children to go to work. There isn’t any negative feedback I could leave towards any of them as not only do they help with the children they also do their utmost best to accommodate to situations which we have faced in life meaning child care needed to be rearranged and changed.

My little girl has been going to Yellow Wellies in Bishop Auckland for a year, she settled in so well, thanks to the amazing staff. They update me regularly with photos etc, which helps if you’re anxious as a parent about leaving your child. My little girl looks forward to nursery so much every week. They do so many new and fun activities with them. They also take them out to the park and trips out in the local area. All the staff are lovely. One staff member is fantastic as her key worker. The managers are brilliant at what they do.

Great family orientated place to trust to leave your child, amazingly looked after, love the individuality for every kid, always spare time even for the parents in difficult time. Always greeting with a smile, kid loves it, want to be back, lovely teachers from the heart.

My son has been attending the nursery for 5 months now. He had just turned 1 when he joined and wasn't crawling or feeding himself, both of which the nursery helped and supported with and he is now thriving! Apart from development, he goes into nursery each week with a huge smile on his face and has developed lovely relationships with all of the lovely staff there, especially his key worker! I never have any dread or guilt leaving him there, as I know he absolutely loves it. A few of my friends have children who also attend the nursery and they also have nothing but positive feedback, I would not hesitate in recommending the nursery to anyone!
