Yellow Wellies Day Nursery

We've had a fantastic experience with Yellow Wellies Nursery. The staff are warm, caring, and genuinely invested in the children's development and happiness. My son absolutely loves attending and has grown so much in confidence, communication, and social skills since starting there.

The activities are always engaging, creative, and educational, and it's clear that the team puts a lot of thought into creating a safe and nurturing environment. Communication with parents is excellent, and we always feel informed and supported.

It's such a reassuring feeling knowing your child is happy, well cared for, and excited to go in each day. I would highly recommend Yellow Wellies Nursery to any parent looking for a friendly, professional, and supportive nursery.

My son first came to Yellow Wellies when he was 18 months old after a really bad experience at a previous nursery. The staff were incredible from the very beginning, making sure he felt welcome and keeping me regularly updated throughout the day.

My daughter now also attends the nursery, and I honestly could not think of a better team to look after my children. The staff always greet the children with big smiles and welcome them with open arms. They are so friendly, caring, and supportive, and I know with absolute certainty that my children are safe, happy, and well cared for.

My daughter has been at Yellow Wellies for just over a year. As first time parents, we were understandably anxious about sending her away, even on a part-time basis. But Sam and Kelly were so welcoming during our tour, and Laura answered all my questions so thoughtfully during the settling in sessions, that we felt comfortable straight away. We've had two key workers now, Grace and Leah, and both have been excellent. They really take their time to get to know the children in their care. To be fair, every member of staff in each of the three rooms she's been in have been brilliant. They approach the children with such warmth and respect, and I've watched my daughter flourish, socially and academically (as much as a 2yo can be academic!). I can't recommend Yellow Wellies enough.

My daughter has only been here just under a month and I cannot praise this nursery enough. The staff are so warm and welcoming, they're always happy to have a chat at handover (even if you chat too long like I do). My daughter loves going to nursery and has adapted so well. They do an amazing range of activities with the children and it's amazing for her development. Cannot thank this nursery enough!

Always go above and beyond for not only the children but the parents also. Absolutely amazing nursery, always clean and tidy and I can't thank them enough for how much my son has come on since going here.

Nothing is ever too much for the staff, I can't thank Yellow Wellies enough for the part they have played in my sons journey to be ready for school!

Can not thank the staff more, been with them for just over 6 years and they have always gone above and beyond with their care for all my children and for us, they provide a great atmosphere, helped the kids in their own ways and just overall amazing people to be around!

I even got the meet the area manager who was lovely.

5* nursery every staff member goes above and beyond, my child is learning new skills every session he attends. Each staff member is respectful and always has a warm welcome, they are accommodating to the needs of not just the child but parents also. I couldn't recommend this nursery more. Every time there is an illness we are updated accordingly, it's clean and my child is always fed well. I love how they do not do the same activities over and over and my child is always doing something new. Amazing thank you for all of your hard work!

I also love the app they use. It's easy to use and staff updates throughout the day.

My little ones have been with Yellow Wellies Day Nursery for over a year now and I always feel comfortable leaving my children there, I love the regular updates on the app, the staff are always so thoughtful and caring. Yellow Wellies have created such an amazing environment for children to thrive within.

Yellow Wellies Day Nursery is an excellent nursery staff are fantastic and so patient with the children and will do anything to help if any problems arise. Meals are well balanced. My grandson has come on so much since starting at the age of 9 months old. They have different activities every day and in warmer weather, they take the children on walks or to the local park. I would highly recommend Yellow Wellies. Fantastic place. fantastic staff.

Yellow Wellies Day Nursery in Bishop Auckland holds a special place in our hearts. When I first visited to look around for my child, I knew instantly that my child would be safe and well cared for. The staff are very very lovely and very supportive! They couldn't be more amazing with my little boy, my little boy has been here 3 years now and he's grown well in with all the staff! My child loves going to nursery and he hates to leave and he gets so excited to go back! Very welcoming my son is thriving since he's attended this nursery at a young age! I couldn't appreciate you all and thank you all enough! For all the help and encouragement you have all given.

I feel that Yellow Wellies Day Nursery has provided a very personal service, all the workers and children are like a little family and the care shown by the staff is always noticed. The children are given a chance to learn and expand skills with support when needed with fun messy play. I have experienced a number of nurseries and feel that the approach taken by Yellow Wellies is so refreshing to see. My children are welcomed with such happiness and smiles every time.

Amazing nursery, all three children have been going here since our oldest started in 2018. Amazing support from all the team at Yellow Wellies Day Nursery, have always done their best to accommodate all our needs and always made sure what is best for the children happens. So glad we chose this nursery and got to be part of their family.

My daughter absolutely loves Yellow Wellies Day Nurseries! She has come on so much being there. She is constantly doing stuff to improve her development, sensory and fine motor skills. The team treat her like one of their own and nothing is an issue. I recently came into financial difficulty, not a problem and were with me every step of the way until it was resolved and paid them in full. My daughter is unwell quite often and they are always keeping an eye on her and update me with symptoms and happily give her antibiotics.

Yellow Wellies Day Nursery in Bishop Auckland holds a special place in our hearts. When we first visited to look around for our first child, we knew instantly that our children would be safe and well cared for. We've since had all 3 of our children attend part time and I wouldn't change a thing. The staff at Yellow Wellies go above and beyond and care is not limited to meals and nappy changes. The staff have been by our side through the good and the bad and evidently work together like a family. Our children have thrived since attending and don't seem to want to come home at pick-up!. They participate in a range of activities, sensory play and outdoor time and we receive lovely photos during most sessions. Our children love the food at Yellow Wellies and it seems that they prefer the chef's cooking to mammy's as they always eat most of their meals at nursery but only pick at their food at home! Yellow Wellies are fantastic and I recommend to any parent looking for childcare.

My son started in July 2024 and it has been the best thing for him. They couldn't be more amazing with him. All the staff are the nicest and are always there no matter what the issue is. It's brilliant picking him up from nursery and hearing about his day and you can see the love and care they have for all the children.

I cannot thank every member of staff enough for the smiles they hold and the opportunities they give, to make the children have such a positive experience at nursery. Every parent's worry is their child being okay, I have never felt so comfortable, the staff here are like my little one's second family. They truly are worth their weight in gold!
