Minnows are great for my granddaughter. She has settled well and the staff are really caring and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
My daughter has just recently joined Minnows and has never experienced the whole playgroup of other babas and toddlers etc and she absolutely loves it and it’s down to the teachers. They are absolutely lovely and easy to talk to, they help in any way possible and keep you updated, they are a great team and couldn’t have wanted better for my daughter's whole first experience in a room of other babas. She is thriving even more with the help of Minnows great team! Thank you so much for being who use all are!

This is a very lovely nursery. They take care of our son like a family member would. The staff are friendly and very nice.
My son hasn't had much social exposure due to covid, but his social interaction has remarkably improved since starting at the nursery.
I reckon he has loads of fun and various activities because he is tired after he returns.
The staff make a daily report for the parents of what his activities are like on the day, how much he ate and nappy changes etc.
Overall, Minnnows Children's Day Nursery is excellent.

Minnows is a fantastic day nursery that caters to all my child's needs, they provide stimulating activities that encourages my child to enjoy her learning experience. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff who have been very accommodating to my changing shifts at work. My child looks forward to going to nursery and I feel content knowing she is well looked after and safe. The meals are fantastic, filling and healthy and a great value for money. The setting is clean and comfortable. All round great nursery and I would recommend, 10/10.

My grandson has attended this nursery since he was 9 months old, he is now 2 years old. He absolutely loves going to nursery, the staff are all so friendly and understanding. They do a fantastic job. My children have attended Minnows for many years now, 3 of whom have left. My youngest is 10 years old and see's the nursery as a second home. They have been very supportive and have helped with everything I have asked for. The staff are lovely, fun and caring and always go up and beyond what is asked of them. Adele began her childcare career at the age of 16 and has built a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience across a variety of early years settings. Her journey has included working within Montessori nurseries, primary schools, afterschool clubs, and curiosity and play-based nursery environments, giving her a broad understanding of how children learn and thrive.
Adele first joined Nunthorpe Nurseries in 2010 and proudly returned in 2026, bringing with her many years of additional experience, fresh ideas, and a continued passion for delivering high-quality childcare.
As Nursery Manager at Minnows Day Nursery, Adele is dedicated to creating a warm, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow in confidence and independence. Her passion for education, combined with her commitment to giving children the very best start in life, is reflected throughout the nursery each day.
Adele is also the setting’s Safeguarding Lead and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), ensuring all children are supported, protected, and given every opportunity to thrive.
