Kids Planet Ashbrooke

Really good facilities and fabulous staff who know what they are doing and are amazing with our little one (as I'm sure they are with all the children in their care)! Made us and little one feel so welcome from the beginning and have continued to keep us up to date with all of little one's achievements, progress and general day-to-day things via the app and face to face at drop off and pick up. Little one loves his days at nursery!

So far we’ve had no access to the app to see photos comments or activities throughout the day.

My son has attended this nursery for over a year now and has came on leaps and bounds since starting. The nursery always go above and beyond for him and I couldn’t be happier with how he is cared for and nurtured within the nursery.

The overall feel of the nursery is warm and welcoming, I feel my child is safe and cared for.

They always go above and beyond and clearly have the children’s best interests at heart. They always strive to inspire and develop the children. They are clearly stimulated the whole time they are there as mine come home happy and exhausted!

The food always looks to be a delicious - balanced meal.

My children first came to Ashbrooke in 2021 aged 3 and 18 months. They previously attended another nursery and were upset about going each time. After one visit at Ashbrooke, both children ran in smiling and my youngest continues to do so every morning (the oldest is now at school) and will ask to go to nursery when we ask what he wants to do at weekends. All of the staff know my children well and activities are personalised for individuals. The food provided is very varied and the way it is served promotes choice-making and independence. Although our youngest has only just turned three he is thriving academically, is really engaging with phonics, and always impresses us with his maths. All of his learning is done through play and not “forced”. The nursery is so flexible and are always willing to try and help out. The “walking school bus” to St Mary’s school is fantastic and holiday clubs are brilliant and great value for money. Overall a fantastic nursery.

My son has been going to Ashbrooke since September and he absolutely loves his days at nursery, he learns so much while he is there. Ashbrooke nursery is such a nice environment for him to grow in, which is so reassuring as a parent while he is there when I am at work.

I would highly recommend this nursery. The staff are amazing with both of my little girls. Always accommodating as well as I’m a very busy Mam with work so they help me a lot if I’m running late or early.

My little boy absolutely loves going to nursery, he started at around 10 months old and has just turned 2. He has come so much and always leaves nursery with a big smile on his face! All the girls are so lovely and understanding, really looking forward to my little girl starting there soon!

My child was very nervous about going to nursery at first and found it so difficult to settle being away from me. The staff gently encouraged her and allowed her to build up confidence in her own time. Since starting at the nursery, my child is like a different person. She is so confident and outgoing, she absolutely loves her social life at nursery. The staff at Ashbrooke have also helped tremendously with potty training, among other things.

Amazing nursery and great wrap-around holiday club. Both my daughters have loved their time at the nursery and all the staff and enjoy going back each term for holiday club. The manager has always helped with any issues I’ve had or helped to work around all my different work days/times which made it so easy each week knowing I had the care I needed.

Couldn't have picked a better nursery, my little boy loves it and his development and talking have come on loads since joining. He's built up a relationship with the staff and mentions their names or sings songs they've been doing outside of nursery. They are so flexible with times and days, sometimes I add extra at short notice and it's no problem. Would definitely recommend!

We are unsure of how well the nursery prepares our son for starting school. He's never told me about learning numbers, phonics or how to write his name. Very little artwork or samples of his attempts at writing are sent home, and anything that is has normally been shoved in his bag without any care. At the end of the day, pick ups can be frustrating with a queue of parents standing for a long time. The information given by staff at the end of the day is repetitive and, having stood in the queue listening to what's been passed on to every other parent, the information isn't really personalised. You find out what they've eaten, another generic comment and that's about it. The use of the app is dreadful; it needs to be used more effectively.

The staff are amazing, so friendly and informative! My daughter's face lights up every time she sees the staff! Great food choices, facilities, and the app is also great to keep up to date and receive updates throughout the day.

I can't recommend this nursery enough. I had originally put down for my daughter to attend a different nursery, however, I attended one of their open mornings and fell in love! The staff are so kind and friendly, and you can tell really care about empowering the children at the nursery. Activities and areas are designed with the children's interests and they use real-life natural resources. I just found the place so calm, cosy and a positive environment. The staff really got to know my child and managed her transition into nursery amazingly - I think it was me who needed more settling in than my daughter! They were so reassuring and understanding throughout the whole process. My daughter is always so excited to go to nursery, and leaves with a big smile on her face which for me is sign enough that she loves the place.

I can’t praise the nursery enough, when my child started he was so upset and unsure but after a few sessions, he was settled. The girls made me feel at ease and reassured during his settling in period. He now loves nursery and has a huge smile on his face when he sees a member of staff come to the door. During this challenging time, the nursery have been so supportive and understanding. I can’t thank them enough for understanding our individual situation and still communicating via the online learning journal. I would highly recommend Ashbrooke nursery.

Ashbrooke nursery is fantastic. My son (21 months) has attended here since he was 15 months. He loves nursery! He settled so quickly as the staff really spent time with myself and my partner to learn more about him, what he likes to do, how he is comforted and his little ways! He attends 4 days a week and each day is a joy to drop him off as he runs in smiling as well as when we pick him up and he is in such good spirits after such a lovely day. The staff are so friendly, happy, caring and he adores them! The staff offer you a full report of his day which is lovely to see and hear about. The meals are delicious and so varied, each day he has fun doing many activities, the nursery has a lovely atmosphere and is beautifully decorated. He especially loves the outdoor enclosed area of the nursery - the link and the garden. Ashbrooke is professional, of a high standard and the staff are just superb. Thank you Ashbrooke!

From the moment I visited Ashbrooke Day Nursery, I felt very comfortable and that this was the nursery for my daughter to attend. The staff are lovely, very helpful with feedback and keeping the app up to date with comments and pictures throughout the day.
