Kids Planet Longbenton offers flexible and part time places which include morning or/and afternoon sessions as well as full time places.

The purpose built nursery has specially designed rooms for different age groups, for example babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Each room has access to a large stimulating outdoor area which is accessed frequently throughout the nursery day and in all weather conditions using the appropriate clothing and protection.

Each nursery has a fully qualified team of early year’s practitioners and an early year’s professional, with some practitioners being qualified up to degree level.

They endeavour to settle every child with ease into nursery life, offering free introductory visits before the child formally starts the nursery.

My daughter has a great time at nursery. She has made friends and is developing physically and learning loads with the varied resources that the nursery offers. She is our second child at the nursery.

Staff have made sure they've built a positive and meaningful relationship with my little boy. He excels in the toddler room and has opportunities to explore. play and thrive. Staff are always friendly and informative upon pick and nothing is ever to big of an ask.

We could not be happier with the nursery. The level of care, love and attention that both our children have been getting over the years has been amazing. The staff are wonderful and always greet us and our children with enthusiasm and smiles. Our children have always gone in happy and come back home

Both of my children have attended kids planet nursery. My daughter, who is now in school, absolutely loved it.The staff are so nurturing and kind towards the children and they helped to build a solid foundation for her school years. My son is currently at the nursery and he has special educational needs,
with many aspects of his care being challenging at times. The nursery staff, his key worker and the Senco have been incredible. There is a genuine desire to do their absolute utmost to help support him and us as his family during a difficult time. I genuinely dont know what we would've done without them and they feel like part of our family now. They are working tirelessly to help prepare him for school in September, the problem being I dont want him to leave! An all round fabulous nursery for children to thrive.

Both my children are at kids planet and couldn't recommend them more.
The staff are very attentive and genuinely care.
I like how they make an effort to get the children out and about in the community.
It's lovely to see them flourish and make bonds with both the staff and their peers.

Our son has been there since January. I was worried the transition wouldn't be easy as he is shy and still breastfed. I cannot thank them enough for the effort they have put in with settling him.
He struggled with eating solids and nursery have been so so patient and encouraging he eats the most with
them than he does anywhere else and its fantastic.
The women in the baby room are so lovely and they are so loving with my son, hes generally only comfortable around me and my husband but he clearly loves them and they clearly care for him so well. Hes grown so much in confidence.

Our daughter started at Kids Planet Longbenton in May 2025 and our experience has been wonderful! You can tell everyone there really cares for the children they look after and are passionate about proving them with the best care possible. Our daughter loves getting involved in all the activities offered
to her and loves to explore outside. The care offered is child focused, they are encouraged to do what they enjoy. Alongside this her development as sky rocketed with their support, definitely putting her in good standing for when she starts school. Sending our daughter to Kids Planet Longbenton is one of the best decisions we have made for her.

I was so nervous about sending her in as she went from when she was about 11 months old but from the get go she really enjoyed it

Our daughter has been attending Kids Planet Longbenton for over a year now and loves it! She always comes out of nursery full of joy. She started when she was 15 months old and I remember how apprehensive and anxious I felt about it. But from day one, I felt reassured that she was somewhere safe and
that the staff would take good care of her. I love hearing about all the different activities they do and seeing how my daughter has thrived in this environment. I've also always appreciated being listened to and how attentive both the staff who take care of her and management have been. They really do a fantastic job!

My twins have attended this nursery since they were 8 months old. We felt so comfortable with it from the beginning and I knew I wanted them to go there, this was before it was owned by Kids Planet. Nothing has changed since the change in ownership, the staff are all lovely and I am confident that my

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2008

My name is Kate and I am the Manager at Kids Planet Longbenton. I have worked in childcare for over 20 years achieving my foundation degree in Early Childhood studies. My childcare journey started as an apprentice at age 16 and over the years I have gained lots of experience, working my way up and eventually, I was promoted to manager in October 2023.


I love being involved with all aspects of nursery life seeing how happy and content the children are and how seeing them grow and learn in our caring and nurturing environment.
