Kids Planet Westerhope welcomes children from birth to five years, all of whom experience a mixture and planned and spontaneous activities and play that are ideal for their age group. The aim is to start children off on the path to life-long learning, making a positive start that will support them well in full-time education.

Staff look to respect children as developing individuals, within a secure environment where healthy eating is also a priority. Carers look to build up strong links with parents in order to understand any specific needs or preferences.

Both my children attend Westerhope Nursery one of them being there for nearly 3 years. They have come on leaps and bounds since being here. Brilliant staff, excellent facilities and just an all-round fantastic nursery.

I am over the moon with my decision to place my daughter in Westerhope Village Nursery. Her speech, which was my main concern, has improved so much. The nursery staff are lovely and I never have any worries leaving my daughter in their care. My daughter doesn’t have any siblings but she is so confident
and kind towards other children, and I definitely think the nursery has contributed to this. I can’t thank the staff enough!

My son has developed amazingly since attending. He is age 2 and started in October 2019 and missed April May and June due to COVID-19. However, he has settled back in easily and I am happy going to work whilst he is in the care of this childcare provider.

My youngest daughter attends this nursery and absolutely loved it. She’s happy and confident and loves to tell me how much fun she has had. The staff are fantastic and always give a handover at the end of the day of what she’s eaten and the activities she has been up to that day. I’ve never had any

I have been very impressed by this nursery. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and have great attention to detail. I am regularly updated on the progress, development and key milestones for my child. My child has adapted very well and really enjoys his time at nursery. We also have
been given advice and assistance with support of arranging a speech and language referral. We couldn’t ask for more - not only have all the staff been great, the nursery is very well administered by the management team. Highly recommend this nursery and you are made to feel at ease at the thought of leaving your child, impacting on any anxiety issues.

My daughter attended Westerhope Village Nursery from 1 year old until recently when she went to school and my 1-year-old son is now also attending the nursery. The staff are fantastic. They have been very flexible with settling in periods for my son and have got to know him very quickly. He's developed
lovely relationships with them in a short time and I always feel confident he will be well looked after. The nursery is spacious and there are plenty of toys and books for the children to play with. The outside area is great and had different areas for different ages. I'd have no concerns recommending this nursery to anybody.

My son has been attending Westerhope village Nursery since he was 1 year old, he is now 4 and moving on to school in September. My son loves the nursery, the staff and activities and has made so many friends. The nursery does not just focus on maths/English, etc but on the social/physical and emotional
development of each child. I cannot thank the staff enough for the past 3 years. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent!

The staff at Westerhope Village Nursery are - without a doubt - amazing. They are so good not only with the kids, but with us parents too. My child has been attending this nursery since September 2018 and I can honestly say we have had no problems/issues whatsoever.
The staff are welcoming, polite and really friendly, immediately putting you at ease. They take time in hand over, explaining what your child has got up to, meal times, nappy
changes etc. Also, this nursery allows you access to Tapestry which gives you a personal insight into what your child has been up to which is always nice to see.
As soon as my child arrives, he is sometimes unsettled but staff immediately take over and settle him before we have even left the building.
I would definitely recommend this nursery as it is great and my little boy has grown so much in confidence since attending here. It’s a lovely setting and any child I have in future will be sure to come here.

My son has been at this nursery for a year and he moved from a setting that I hadn't been completely happy with. I am happy to say Westerhope Village Nursery has exceeded every expectation and I would definitely recommend it to other parents.


The essentials are easily covered: lovely, skilled staff

who really care for the children, excellent food, a range of learning activities and toys etc. I have also been really impressed with the communication with parents and requests for feedback from parents, integrating within the community (raising money for a charity, visiting care homes) and events so you feel involved with the nursery and the chance to get to know the staff e.g. summer fayre, parents evenings. The holiday club is also brilliant.

I send both my daughters to this nursery and find that the staff are always invested in the wellbeing and development of them both. The nursery is always happy to help in any way they can and are approachable and friendly. I love that they have days where parents are invited in to interact with their

I have always felt comfortable leaving my children in the care of the nursery nurses from the very first day. My children have been going there for the last 5 years and I have never worried about the care afforded to them. The staff are always professional, kind and supportive to both myself and, more
importantly, my children, enjoy attending and are always happy when I pick them up. I would highly recommend Westerhope Village Nursery.

Lisa Hutchinson

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Lisa Hutchinson is the nursery manager at Westerhope.
She began at Kids Planet Westerhope as a nursery nurse before moving onto the Senior role and then Deputy Manager. Lisa loves being involved with childcare and being part of the first stages of a child’s life in helping them develop and grow, ensuring they receive the best care to allow them the best possible start in life.
