Partou Woodlands Harrogate Day Nursery & Pre-school provides high-quality care and education for babies and children up to the age of five.

The multi-award winning nursery is set in a beautiful converted home with spacious playrooms and fabulous outdoor areas, featuring swings, climbing equipment, playhouses and lovely natural areas.

Children at the nursery enjoy a wide range of inspirational learning activities covering all aspects of the early years foundation stage including communication and language, physical development and mathematics.

Woodland’s experienced team hold childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certificates and safeguarding training. Every team member has an enhanced DBS check and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The chef at Woodlands prepares the nursery’s fresh and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen, providing children with healthy and delicious homemade food every day.

The nursery’s seasonal menu is prepared with quality, locally sourced ingredients and can be altered to meet any special dietary requirements.

Woodlands Day Nursery was recommended to us, and we are happy with our choice. All the staff is very helpful, kind and caring. The children have always some interesting activities and loads of fun. We started in the Tweenies room and now, our daughter is in the Pre-school room.
Settling in was as
smooth as possible, thanks to the staff and management. The food is like homemade and our daughter eats everything at Woodlands (she is sometimes a picky eater at home). It is a fantastic place for the children to develop, make new friends and learn, how to connect with others; to learn, that everybody is unique. If we had any issues or concerns, the management's response was quick and effective. The staff is always smiling, very creative, and always there for our little one, to comfort her, if she is missing us. We are grateful for all of their efforts and positive attitude.

Our daughter has a great time at nursery and is well cared for with interesting activities and enthusiastic staff. However, two lots of full week closures in one month is unmanageable for working parents. The staffing instability is very frustrating.

Woodlands has been the place for my 2 children over the last years (first child 9 years old, second child 3 years old). It was the best setting for my children as was encouraged and supported to grow in their unique little ways. The Covid 19 lockdown was a test for everybody and although it was a stressful
time, we weren't let down by the dedication of the team. The keyworkers were so reassuring and worked through the lockdown which made me confident that my daughter is being cared for by the people she knew. There were those rocky moments when the whole management changed and then followed by so many policies and rule changes including staff changes. Since the arrival of the new manager, things have slowly got better which were quite reassuring to parents. This was seconded by the Deputy Manager, she's very supportive with queries and very helpful, not to mention how caring she is to babies at the Baby Room. My daughter will miss Woodlands especially the preschool so much.

Both our children attended Woodlands for 5 years between them and we were consistently impressed with their experience there. The staff were all friendly and extremely caring. We were very sad to leave.

My son started here 6-weeks ago, he had never been left anywhere before, and I was a little nervous, but the friendly staff at Woodlands have been able to settle him in really well. He now loves nursery and the variety of activities indoor and outdoor.
He loves the homemade food, and the wide variety
of different food is fantastic.

Woodlands nursery is absolutely amazing, my eldest child went here for 3-years before starting school, and loved every minute. My youngest child currently attends Woodlands and will continue to until he starts school. My youngest has several developmental delays and the nursery have gone out of their
way to ensure he gets all the help he needs, including coming up with a learning plan for him and doing 1 to 1 learning with him. He absolutely loves going, and always has a great time. All of the nursery team are friendly, and I could not ask for anywhere better to look after my child! Thank you, Woodlands, for the amazing care you provide!

Our daughter is so happy at Woodlands! All the staff in the baby room are so kind and loving towards her and we know she is great hands when she’s there. My daughter has been attending Woodlands Day Nursery since she was 6 months old and will be staying till she goes to school. She absolutely loves her time at nursery and we have loved watching her develop with the help of all the staff at Woodlands. From the baby room, through to preschool, my daughter's
care has always been exceptional, which is why I haven’t hesitated in putting my son into the same nursery, starting this month. The setting is so lovely in all stages, with a range of activities that keep my active toddler interested and occupied.

My daughter has been at Woodlands Nursery since June and she absolutely loves it. The staff made the transition of starting nursery very easy, not just for my little girl, but for me also.

Our little boy started Woodlands Nursery when he was just 10 months old and right from the start he loved going on his three days a week. It makes me so happy to watch him run in there each morning, telling me about all his friends and which nursery staff he is going to see whilst waving me off from
my window. It’s such a lovely happy friendly environment filled with happiness from all children and staff and the home-cooked food is something I particularly love. The menu is so varied with great healthy options and all the activities they do is amazing and so imaginative. It makes me smile listening to all the songs he has learnt and each day he comes home with something new he has discovered or learnt to do. I could not recommend this homely nursery enough and all of the staff are fabulous and always make an effort to make you feel comfortable!

I cannot recommend Woodlands Nursery enough. My daughter has grown up here and is now at Primary school and my son is now a Tweenie. All the staff have been fantastic along every stage of their development, taking the time to explore things they have become interested in and introducing them to many

My son was at Woodlands Day Nursery from September 2015 and left September 2019. I cannot thank this nursery for everything they have done for my son. They ensured my child was happy and have helped him develop so much over the 4 years he was there. The staff are amazing and become like part of the
family, they provide so much variety to the children's days, they are also great listeners to the parents. The food options are great, lovely healthy meals that my child enjoyed a lot more than Mummies cooking. He made a lovely group of friends who we are still in contact with and we have made great friends with staff, past and present. I would highly recommend Woodlands Day Nursery.

My son has been at Woodlands since he was 1 year old. He has honestly loved every day and we have never had a need for a single complaint or cross word with the staff. The manager is a fantastic manager and has a warm and welcoming team who love the children in their care with no discrimination or bias.
It has provided my son with a sense of home from home where he thrives just as himself. I only wish I had sent my older 3 children! Keep up the brilliant work everyone at Woodlands Day Nursery and thank you all.

A fantastic nursery who balance the needs of each child with the ever-increasing governance around childcare. My little boy moved from another nursery and lots of time and effort went into ensuring the transition was smooth and he integrated successfully. The food is imaginative and nutritious and his
specific health care needs are managed extremely well. The role of nursery staff is so important and I am delighted with how happy, secure and confident my little boy has become. Educationally, the staff deliver sufficient challenge and variety without being overbearing. He has even learned some french! I’m delighted with Woodlands and couldn’t recommend highly enough.
