They take care of my child well. She is happy and glad when we pick her up.

Both my children have been attending Happy Days since they were one, they're now 6 and 8 years old, and they love it. They have progressed through all the stages and are now in the after school club. I have never had any cause for concern at the nursery and my children have never said that they don't want to go. They have made great friends with other children that attend and with the staff. The staff are lovely and caring.
The facilities available at the nursery are excellent and provide a great learning environment for all ages; the outside area is wonderful and HUGE and has an all weather section! Children spend a lot of time outdoors in all weather. Food is freshly prepared every day and provides a varied range of different foods for the children to try, they also have tasting sessions for the less common foods.

My children have always been encouraged in their development and have always felt included in all activities. I would not hesitate in recommending Happy Days to anyone.

I couldn't recommend this nursery enough. My eldest daughter has been attending for almost 3 years and has always loved it. She gets excited when we arrive in the car park and talks positively about all the staff long after I have picked her up. She really enjoys all the activities and the outside play area/garden is much bigger than any other nursery in Wakefield that I have seen. The staff are attentive, which I know because my daughter refers to staff giving her cuddles when she falls over or if she is tired. I am aware new staff have joined recently but this has not phased my daughter as she refers to each of them by name and is comfortable playing with them. In the 2/3years my daughter has attended she has never said she didn't want to go to nursery or cried when I told her that she is going. I also think the nursery is very good value for money and is cheaper than local nurseries around.

My child loves this nursery and has been going for a few years, for me, however, they don't seem to be able to keep staff very long (they had a large amount leave at once after management changed). Since there appears to be a new staff member every month making it difficult to keep track and to be able to build up some trust. I would like to point out that the team who have stuck around are amazing I can tell they really care about my child's needs and education.

The nursery itself is in a fantastic place being about 5 minutes from the town centre it is far cheaper than the nurseries around it (by a landslide). The outside area is huge and they have separate play areas for the different ages but do encourage everyone to play together, inside its clean and well decorated.

One of the biggest downsides is the only entrance into the grounds means you have to walk through the small carpark which does get very busy during peak times.

Reply from Charlotte Hall, Manager at Nurtured @ Wakefield

Staff training and development is a large part of the ethos of Happy Days, this, therefore, means that unfortunately staff outgrow the setting. Recently a member of our team has left to become a teacher and another has moved out of child care completely, opting for a career change. Over the last...
