I'm really happy with Tots n Tykes and I would never choose anywhere else for my son to go. He is so settled and happy and now thoroughly prepared for school in September.

Amazing nursery, great staff. Had no hesitation registering our second child and when we moved away we kept them at Tots n Tykes.
Our eldest has had a great time, learnt so much.
Our youngest has settled in amazingly and looks forward to going.

I am thrilled at my child's personal and educational development since starting at Tots n Tykes last year, and I have no doubt that is due to the well-educated / qualified and dedicated staff who work there, as well as the establishment's holistic and child-led approach which has nurtured my child's
curiosity and interest to learn. Consequently, I am confident about my child's upcoming transition to primary school next academic year. Whilst the outside facilities may be limited compared to other nurseries, I am delighted that Tots n Tykes takes advantage of its location by offering extra services such as trips to the park, banks, library, shops, forest school and swimming lessons (the latter at an extra cost). Having moved and subsequently placed my child into different childcare settings, this is the one that I was the happiest with and I have no doubts about sending my second child there in the near future.

Both my children went to Tots n Tykes and they both received fabulous care and a great range of opportunities through play and experiences. All of this was provided with real love and care just like a family. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tots n Tykes.

Fantastic nursery run by caring dedicated staff, I feel very happy dropping my daughter off on a morning before I go to work. Can't give any negative comments! My child's development has progressed a great deal because of what she has learnt at nursery. The staff are also very pleasant and always smile!
I would recommend this nursery to parents.

Fabulous nursey. Two children very happy there. Lovely caring staff. Very pleased with every aspect of the care given and the nursery environment. Lots of daily activities, great in the preschool (Forest School and swimming). Well thought out sessions, children always happy. Excellent food, a range
of different foods given through the week. Good value for money, best of all fantastic staff.

My daughter started Tots n Tykes last summer and has settled in really well. As a first time mother, I didn't know what to expect or how I would feel leaving her for 2 full days. However, with settling in sessions and friendly staff, this transition has been swift and pain free. The baby room is
so cosy and all staff from managers to key worker's are friendly, approachable and hard working. The nursery really feels like a 'close family' and I often gush to family and friends at how lucky we are to have found such a fantastic establishment for our daughter to blossom and grow.

The care that my child receives from the 'Baby Room' is absolutely fantastic. I always feel that he is actually loved by the staff as opposed to being just another child. He thoroughly enjoys his time at nursery and his time there has really brought him on. Nursery encourages his learning and it amazes
me the things that he learns in just a couple of days. I would highly recommend this nursery to any of my friends and family and will definitely be sending further children here.

Tots n Tykes is a wonderful nursery, much more like an extended family. The staff are exceptional, so welcoming from the moment you meet, friendly and professional, they have a genuine interest in the care of your child. I have a baby who has just started nursery and an older child who is now at school
and he loved his time here.
Every day is varied with so many different activities taking place, it's an exciting and enriching environment. Lots of experiences for babies, messy play, heuristic areas and nurturing staff. I was amazed my toddler learnt all of his colours and alphabet so early on through play with his key worker.
Forest school for pre-school children is a definite bonus and free flow play inside and out encourages independence. It's reassuring knowing that your child is in safe hands when you are dashing to work, also to receive photos and videos of what is happening at nursery through the Early Years Log mobile app is a welcome new addition.
Very happy to be back again!

My children both love the nursery and the staff.
The staff in the baby room have gone above and beyond to make sure both my children settle into nursery.
I have one in the baby room and one in the toddler room and they both love it once they settled down.
I can ring 20 times a day without feeling
am being a nuisance.

Such a wonderful nursery. Moved my little girl here and the staff have done everything I need to ensure my little one settled in.
Their observations are great and they make sure you always know what's happening. It's an amazing atmosphere from the second you walk through the door.
Couldn't thank
the staff enough for progressing my little girl and catering for her needs.
They ensure that if you're doing something at home that they follow it on in nursery eg, no dummy, toilet training.

Hands down the best nursery in Pudsey, probably even Leeds.

Small single site nursery, some of the staff have been their years. Happy staff, happy children. This nursery cares about the children full stop, not about expanding for more profit.

They have an external dance teacher visit each week,

go swimming, go shopping, to the bank, park, library and to a forest school. Fantastic learning fun for the children. My boy has always had plenty of fresh air too, even whilst in the baby room going on walks.

My boy loves going and daughter will be going too.

In nearly two years of my boy being in full-time, I have only been called out once, they appreciate a parent has to work and look after your child as you would yourself.

An excellent nursery with a variety of activities for the children to do. Also, they do things that other nurseries don't - swimming lessons and forest school which my little boy loves. All the staff are helpful and brilliant with the children and if you have any queries they are always happy to help.
They let you know the weeks menu before hand then you can plan your own meals at home knowing you won't be duplicating what your child had for lunch at teatime. All in all a very highly recommended nursery.

Fabulous local nursery with caring and nurturing staff.
They have been able to accommodate my requests for baby-led weaning and using cloth nappies without any issues.
My son loves his days here, joining in the many varied child led activities and eating everything they put in front of him.

My little boy started here in the toddler room and stayed for three years until it was time to go to school. He absolutely loved the nursery and had some fantastic key workers who were really responsive to him and caring.
I was so happy when my second child could also have a place, he has been going
for 6 months now and enjoys it too. His key workers are very proactive and always ensure they speak with me or my partner at the beginning and end of the day. The communication between the nursery and parents is really good which is always helpful when the little one is poorly.
The provision at the nursery always looks great both inside and out. I would recommend the nursery to family and friends as it is a great feeling to know children are in such a great environment.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.578)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.578) out of 10 for Thrive Pudsey is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.927 for Thrive Pudsey is calculated as follows: ( (89 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.927
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.651 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Thrive Pudsey is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 47 number of registered child places is 9.4. 8 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.4 = 0.851
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
