Cliffe House Day Nursery Horsforth

From the day we left out little one at Cliffe House we have been very happy. All the staff, including his key workers, have ensured he has thrived through excellent care and play opportunities, both indoors and outdoors. He has enjoyed every day at nursery.

My child has attended this setting for over three years and I couldn’t recommend it more. A lovely family-orientated feel to the entire place. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, whatever is happening. I have always felt at ease here and my little one has too. He’s due to leave soon and the attachment between them is lovely to see it’s a second home to him now. Couldn’t recommend it more. Also in a lovely location and access to the resources on campus which is nice.

Both our children attend Cliffe House and benefit from it immensely. As a parent I feel that our children are in a place where they are happy and safe, they a free to explore and encouraged to do so and their specific interests are nurtured. Our children have developed great relationships with other children and staff alike. The team of staff are all very engaging, providing excellent care and show a genuine interest in the children's development. The leadership is also very strong within the team of staff and they are always there to listen and respond accordingly to anything which may be of concern and will help where ever they can. Overall I think our children and in a positive place where they feel loved, appreciated, safe, involved and encouraged.

My daughter has been attending here for three and a half years and is always so happy. She loves the staff, is doing so well in all areas of development and has so many friends. They are constantly working to improve. My son starts there next week and I know he'll have a great time.

Wonderful nursery, staff and manager go above and beyond. Always felt my daughter is safe and secure and happy and have never had any worries or doubts about her when she is there. She’s attended since six months old and is now turning four so it’s like a second home!

My twins love attending Cliffe House Nursery. They have developed amazing bonds with their key workers. The staff are lovely and very accommodating for arranging extra sessions.

We are really happy with the nursery. Our son loves being there and enjoys all the activities. The staff are fantastic with him and he has a great relationship with both the staff and the other kids. We are always well informed about his day and feel involved with what's happening.

All the staff really care and make her experience at the nursery so special and enjoyable.

We will be sad to see him leave at the end of August.

I would definitely recommend Cliffe House to anyone looking for a nursery/preschool setting for their little ones. My son has attended from 9 months through to the preschool and he has been incredibly happy in each of the rooms. All the staff are so caring and professional and there is a really welcoming friendly atmosphere throughout. The activities the children undertake are so varied and my son’s progress has been a joy to see. My daughter will be starting there shortly too!

Cliffe House Horsforth is a fantastic nursery. My son (now age 6) and my daughter (3) both started attending at 9-months-old. The care in the baby room, toddler room and pre-school is outstanding. The staff are like extended family. The environment is caring, nurturing and enriching. The children partake in forest school sessions and other outdoor activities in addition to a rich and varied curriculum of activities designed to develop the whole child. They work in close partnership with parents and follow the child's lead in developmental changes such as potty training. Meals are varied and nutritious. My daughter is currently in the pre-school and is thriving. My son, in year 2, still talks fondly of Cliffe House! Both of my children have made strong friendships with other children and strong bonds with their keyworkers and other staff. I cannot rate this nursery highly enough. In fact, I have recommended it to colleagues who have since sent their children and are equally as happy!

Our son has been attending the nursery since turning 2, (now 2.5) - he absolutely loves it, and we are so pleased to see him progress. The amount of varied activities is wonderful, and he seems to be flourishing. I am super impressed with the detail that they have for our son, and how they focus new learning developments according to his progression and needs. I would say that our son sees the staff as an extended part of his family which is testament to how well they do their job and how they care for him and all the children. It's a small team, but there is a real sense of family within the nursery, and it's evident how much all the staff care for the children, which is very reassuring. There isn't anything that I could say in a negative way, just a big thank you for all your hard work and for making our son (and us as parents) feel so welcome, and for the attention to detail which you invest in to our son. My family have been cared for by Cliffe House Horsforth for the last 4 years and ongoing. When I drop the kids off I don't think again as I know they are well cared for and happy. My eldest literally runs into pre-school and is always bouncing when I pick him up. Our 3rd child will be starting soon. It was the staff and atmosphere of the place that first encouraged me to use their services and this is still true. The staff genuinely care for the children, get on with and support each other and are well managed. Three other families use Cliffe House on our recommendation.

They know him so well now. We had originally signed up to another nursery, but as soon as I visited Cliffe House, I knew straight away I wanted him to be there and moved him straight away.

It has been the perfect preparation before she starts school in September and we will be extremely sad to leave.
