Cliffe House Day Nursery Horsforth

We count ourselves lucky that we found such a beautiful nursery because our son is thriving. Highly recommend.

We have had several concerns around nappy rash and our daughter not being checked in between nappy changes. We're continuing to work with the nursery around this. We also feel that the nursery doesn't utilise the fantastic grounds they have, we were told that they go out every day and this hasn't been the case since our daughter started nursery.

The support from staff has been incredible. My son has medical needs and the entire team from the nursery nurses to management have been attentive and understanding throughout. I know that he is in safe hands.

My daughter started aged 2.5 in the Blue room and is about to move to the pre-school room. She loves it at nursery and talks often about her teachers and friends she plays with. They do so much with all the kids and the app recently introduced is really useful and lets you see what they get up to. The facilities available in the university allow them to explore outside of nursery itself. I would certainly recommend Cliffe House Day Nursery.

With the setting being on a university campus they benefit from library visits, races on the running track, miles of outdoor walking spaces and excellent food. The support and communication from staff is exceptional as well as the flexibility and effort to support what I need.

My daughter loves this nursery and all the amazing staff, they really go above and beyond! She loves it so much she asks to go on a weekend. At her old nursery she used to cry but doesn’t here. They are so welcoming and really put me at ease. Thank you for all your care, love and support.

After having to pull our two children out from another nursery due to being dissatisfied with the care they were receiving, I am thrilled with my experience of Cliffe House Day Nursery Horsforth. Our son’s language has developed so much since starting in the blue room and he is happy chatting about nursery life! Our baby girl has also had a boost of confidence since starting and loves it in the baby room. We also love the new app which we regularly receive photos of activities and a food diary of each day they spend at nursery. Myself and my partner cannot thank the girls enough for everything they do!

They continuously go above and beyond and I couldn’t be happier that the girls are part of the Cliffe House family.

This nursery is a nurturing and welcoming place and I couldn’t have asked for a better place or set of people to look after my son.

My daughter has recently started here at nursery, she is always happy to come in on a morning, her confidence has grown, she has bonded really well with staff members. Everyone greets us with a smile on drop offs and pick ups, we get a full handover and an account of what she's enjoyed doing during her day at nursery.

My daughter started this nursery in December when she was 8-months-old. I had anxiety about leaving her so young but I had to return to work. Turns out it was the best decision we ever made. From the moment we looked around, to the settling in sessions and now two months in. The whole experience has been positive. The staff in the baby room go above and beyond to make sure my daughter has the best day possible. The live updates on the app are priceless. My now 10-month-old comes home from nursery and has magic and confidence in her eyes like she had the best day ever. Above and beyond. So much play, sensory activities, amazing communication and a team that have the patience of saints. They are helpful, energetic and above all show actual care and love towards each child and get to know their individual personalities and like a parent, get excited when they see them making progress. Fabulous staff, fabulous resources and amazing support all round.

I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff at preschool! The support and reassurance they have given has been outstanding. They have been both caring and compassionate through this difficult time and have given the best care I could have asked for. There is always a proactive approach to any queries or concerns. I feel confident in their ability to not only care for my child but provide some amazing experiences that he talks endlessly about!

Both my children have attended Cliffe House Day Nursery Horsforth since 2015 from being babies and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. They have been excellent with both my children and I know that they have been in great hands and have had no concerns. My little boy who attends currently, absolutely loves going to nursery and has a great bond with the staff. In particular, during the Covid pandemic, all staff have been fantastic in supporting the parents and children and making sure that the children are safe and happy.

As per normal, the staff at the nursery have been great, especially in such uncertain times. They have coped with everything Covid related so well, whilst ensuring that the children are still really happy every day. Add in the extra problems of the cold weather and snow lately, finding solutions when the university campus have made decisions that have affected them, again the manager and the staff have coped brilliantly and made it like any other day so the children enjoy coming in and playing with the staff and their friends. Highly recommended to any prospective families.

Wonderful nursery. My little girl is so happy here and loves going. She’s happy and excited when she comes home, and has really come on since starting the preschool room. She tackles and completes tasks independently, she refused to try for me! I’m also really impressed with the learning and phonics work they do. I know her time here will stand her in really good stead for primary school.
