Stepping Stones at Mirfield, West Yorkshire, is situated within a residential area close to local schools. Ideally located for local residents, the nursery was awarded Good by Ofsted in August 2022.

The nursery caters for children from six weeks to five years old, with spaces divided into separate age groups. The close and dedicated team help children to develop and progress within a warm and homely environment.

There is a large outdoor space that is used all year round, enabling children to get plenty of fresh air.

The skilled and experienced team build close relationships with parents so that every child and their family feels secure and settled.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Our son enjoys attending nursery. The staff are friendly, kind and helpful. They have good indoor and outdoor facilities for him to run around and burn off energy. We know he gets taken good care of while he is there. Our only criticism is we never get to know the personal details of his day. We are
informed of what he eats or how long he's slept but we want to know what/who he has been playing with and his development. Overall we highly recommend Stepping Stones.

My name is Sam. I have worked in childcare for 16 years, in nurseries, as a childminder, and as a private nanny. I joined Stepping Stones as a nursery manager in 2023, and as a working mum of 3 little ones, ranging from 2-10years old, I understand the need for supportive, quality childcare, and love to work with families to provide a safe and enriching environment for little ones to thrive in and enjoy.


In my spare time, I love to do anything crafty, from crochet to card making. I have a dog called Edith, who is my fluffy little shadow, and we love getting outdoors for family walks and fresh air.
